प्रति॒ ष्या सू॒नरी॒ जनी॑ व्यु॒च्छन्ती॒ परि॒ स्वसुः॑ । दि॒वो अ॑दर्शि दुहि॒ता ॥ (१)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
भली प्रकार स्तुत, प्राणियों की कुशल नेत्री एवं उत्तम फलों को जन्म देने वाली सूर्यपुत्र उषा दिखाई देती है एवं रात बीतने पर अंधेरे का नाश करती है. (१)
EN English Translation
Usha, the sun-son who is well-versed, the skilled leader of beings and the one who gives birth to the best fruits, is seen and destroys the darkness as the night passes. (1)
अश्वे॑व चि॒त्रारु॑षी मा॒ता गवा॑मृ॒ताव॑री । सखा॑भूद॒श्विनो॑रु॒षाः ॥ (२)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
घोड़े के समान सुंदर, दीप्तिशालिनी, किरणों की माता एवं यज्ञ की स्वामिनी उषा अश्विनीकुमारों के साथ स्तुत हो. (२)
EN English Translation
Beautiful as a horse, deepthishali, mother of the rays and the owner of the yajna, usha be edgy with the ashwinikumars. (2)
उ॒त सखा॑स्य॒श्विनो॑रु॒त मा॒ता गवा॑मसि । उ॒तोषो॒ वस्व॑ ईशिषे ॥ (३)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे उषा! तुम अश्विनीकुमारों की सखा, किरणों की माता एवं धन की स्वामिनी हो. (३)
EN English Translation
Oh, Usha! You are the son of ashwinikumars, the mother of rays and the master of wealth. (3)
या॒व॒यद्द्वे॑षसं त्वा चिकि॒त्वित्सू॑नृतावरि । प्रति॒ स्तोमै॑रभुत्स्महि ॥ (४)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे सत्य वचन वाली एवं शत्रुओं को दूर भगाने वाली उषा! हम स्तुतियों द्वारा तुझ ज्ञान कराने वाली को जगाते हैं. (४)
EN English Translation
O Usha, who has the word of truth and drives away the enemies! We awaken the one who makes you know by praises. (4)
प्रति॑ भ॒द्रा अ॑दृक्षत॒ गवां॒ सर्गा॒ न र॒श्मयः॑ । ओषा अ॑प्रा उ॒रु ज्रयः॑ ॥ (५)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
प्रशंसा के योग्य किरणें दिखाई देती हैं. उषा ने संसार को वर्षा की धारा के समान तेज से भर दिया है. (५)
EN English Translation
Rays worthy of praise appear. Usha has filled the world with as much as the current of rain. (5)
आ॒प॒प्रुषी॑ विभावरि॒ व्या॑व॒र्ज्योति॑षा॒ तमः॑ । उषो॒ अनु॑ स्व॒धाम॑व ॥ (६)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे कांतिशालिनी उषा! तुम जगत् को तेज से पूर्ण करती हुई अंधकार को दूर भगाओ. इसके पश्चात् हविरूपी अन्न की रक्षा करो. (६)
EN English Translation
O Kantishalini Usha! You drive away the darkness, completing the world with speed. After that, protect the food grain. (6)
आ द्यां त॑नोषि र॒श्मिभि॒रान्तरि॑क्षमु॒रु प्रि॒यम् । उषः॑ शु॒क्रेण॑ शो॒चिषा॑ ॥ (७)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे उषा! तुम दीप्त आकाश से युक्त होकर किरणों द्वारा स्वर्ग एवं प्रिय अंतरिक्ष को व्याप्त करो. (७)
EN English Translation
Oh, Usha! You must permeate heaven and beloved space by the rays of the bright sky. (7)
