क्षेत्र॑स्य॒ पति॑ना व॒यं हि॒तेने॑व जयामसि । गामश्वं॑ पोषयि॒त्न्वा स नो॑ मृळाती॒दृशे॑ ॥ (१)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हम बंधु तुल्य क्षेत्रपति की सहायता से क्षेत्र को विजय करेंगे. वे हमारी गायों एवं घोड़ों को पुष्टि प्रदान करते हुए हमें इसी प्रकार सुखी करें. (१)
EN English Translation
We will conquer the area with the help of the brother-in-law. They make us happy in the same way by providing confirmation to our cows and horses. (1)
क्षेत्र॑स्य पते॒ मधु॑मन्तमू॒र्मिं धे॒नुरि॑व॒ पयो॑ अ॒स्मासु॑ धुक्ष्व । म॒धु॒श्चुतं॑ घृ॒तमि॑व॒ सुपू॑तमृ॒तस्य॑ नः॒ पत॑यो मृळयन्तु ॥ (२)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
है क्षेत्रपति! गाएं जिस प्रकार दूध देती हैं, उसी प्रकार तुम मधु टपकाने वाला, घी के समान पवित्र एवं मधुर जल हमें दो. यज्ञ के स्वामी हमें सुखी करें. (२)
EN English Translation
The regionalist! Just as the cows give milk, so do you give us the honey dripping, the holy and sweet water like ghee. May the lord of the yajna make us happy. (2)
मधु॑मती॒रोष॑धी॒र्द्याव॒ आपो॒ मधु॑मन्नो भवत्व॒न्तरि॑क्षम् । क्षेत्र॑स्य॒ पति॒र्मधु॑मान्नो अ॒स्त्वरि॑ष्यन्तो॒ अन्वे॑नं चरेम ॥ (३)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
ओषधियां, द्युलोक, जल-समूह, आकाश एवं क्षेत्रपति हमारे लिए मधुयुक्त हों. हम शत्रुओं की हिंसा से बचकर उनके पीछे चलें. (३)
EN English Translation
May the medicines, the people, the water groups, the sky and the region be the beeeching for us. Let us avoid the violence of our enemies and follow them. (3)
शु॒नं वा॒हाः शु॒नं नरः॑ शु॒नं कृ॑षतु॒ लाङ्ग॑लम् । शु॒नं व॑र॒त्रा ब॑ध्यन्तां शु॒नमष्ट्रा॒मुदि॑ङ्गय ॥ (४)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हमारे बैल सुखपूर्वक भार वहन करें, सेवकगण सुखपूर्वक खेती का काम करें, हमारे हल सुखपूर्वक धरती जातें, हमारी रस्सियां सुखपूर्वक बांधी जावें एवं पशुओं को हांकने वाला चाबुक सुखपूर्वक चलाया जावे. (४)
EN English Translation
Let our bulls carry the load happily, the servants should do the farming work happily, our ploughs go to the earth happily, our ropes should be tied up happily and the whip that drives the animals should be carried out with pleasure. (4)
शुना॑सीरावि॒मां वाचं॑ जुषेथां॒ यद्दि॒वि च॒क्रथुः॒ पयः॑ । तेने॒मामुप॑ सिञ्चतम् ॥ (५)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे शुन एवं सीर! तुम हमारी स्तुति को स्वीकार करो. तुमने आकाश में जिस जल का निर्माण किया था, उसीसे तुम इस धरती को सींचो. (५)
EN English Translation
O Shun and Sir! You accept our praise. Water you created in the sky, from which you irrigated this earth. (5)
अ॒र्वाची॑ सुभगे भव॒ सीते॒ वन्दा॑महे त्वा । यथा॑ नः सु॒भगास॑सि॒ यथा॑ नः सु॒फलास॑सि ॥ (६)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे सौभाग्यवती सीता अर्थात् हल की नोक! तुम धरती के नीचे जाओ. हम तुम्हारी वंदना करते हैं, जिससे तुम हमें शोभन फल एवं शोभन धन प्रदान करो. (६)
EN English Translation
O Saubhagyavati Sita i.e. the tip of the plough! You go down to the earth. We worship you, so that you may give us the fruits and the riches. (6)
इन्द्रः॒ सीतां॒ नि गृ॑ह्णातु॒ तां पू॒षानु॑ यच्छतु । सा नः॒ पय॑स्वती दुहा॒मुत्त॑रामुत्तरां॒ समा॑म् ॥ (७)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
इंद्र सीता को ग्रहण करें एवं पूषा उसकी रक्षा करें. धरती जलपूर्ण बनकर हमें आने वाले वर्षो में फसलें दें. (७)
EN English Translation
Take Indra and Sita and Pusha protect her. Let the earth become watery and give us crops in the years to come. (7)
शु॒नं नः॒ फाला॒ वि कृ॑षन्तु॒ भूमिं॑ शु॒नं की॒नाशा॑ अ॒भि य॑न्तु वा॒हैः । शु॒नं प॒र्जन्यो॒ मधु॑ना॒ पयो॑भिः॒ शुना॑सीरा शु॒नम॒स्मासु॑ धत्तम् ॥ (८)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हमारे फाल सुखपूर्वक धरती को जोतें. हलवाहे बैलों के साथ भी सुखपूर्वक चलें. बादल मधुर जल से धरती को सीचें. हे शुन एवं सीर! हमें सुख दो. (८)
EN English Translation
Our feet plough the earth with pleasure. Walk happily with the halwahi bulls too. Let the clouds moisten the earth with sweet water. O Shun and Sir! Give us happiness. (8)
