दू॒तं वो॑ वि॒श्ववे॑दसं हव्य॒वाह॒मम॑र्त्यम् । यजि॑ष्ठमृञ्जसे गि॒रा ॥ (१)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हम स्तुति द्वारा समस्त धनों के स्वामी, देवों को हवि पहुंचाने वाले, मरणरहित, अतिशय यज्ञपात्र एवं देवदूत अग्नि को बढ़ाते हैं. (१)
EN English Translation
We increase the agni of the lord of all wealth by praise, the one who delivers to the gods, the deathless, the very sacrificial, and the angel agni. (1)
स हि वेदा॒ वसु॑धितिं म॒हाँ आ॒रोध॑नं दि॒वः । स दे॒वाँ एह व॑क्षति ॥ (२)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
वे महान् अग्नि यजमान के धन का दान हैं एवं स्वर्ग की सीढ़ियों को जानते हैं. वे देवों को इस यज्ञ में लावें. (२)
EN English Translation
They are the gift of the wealth of the great agni host and know the stairs of heaven. Let them bring the gods to this yagna. (2)
स वे॑द दे॒व आ॒नमं॑ दे॒वाँ ऋ॑ताय॒ते दमे॑ । दाति॑ प्रि॒याणि॑ चि॒द्वसु॑ ॥ (३)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
वे तेजयुक्त अग्नि यजमानों से क्रमशः देवों के प्रति नमस्कार कराना जानते हैं एवं यज्ञशाला में यजमान को प्रिय धन देते हैं. (३)
EN English Translation
They know how to greet the gods respectively from the bright agni hosts and give dear wealth to the host in the yajnashala. (3)
स होता॒ सेदु॑ दू॒त्यं॑ चिकि॒त्वाँ अ॒न्तरी॑यते । वि॒द्वाँ आ॒रोध॑नं दि॒वः ॥ (४)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
देवों का आह्वान करने वाले अग्नि दूतकर्म एवं स्वर्ग की सीढ़ियों को जानकर धरती- आकाश के मध्य में चलते हैं. (४)
EN English Translation
The agni messengers who invoke the gods walk in the middle of the earth and sky knowing the steps of the work and heaven. (4)
ते स्या॑म॒ ये अ॒ग्नये॑ ददा॒शुर्ह॒व्यदा॑तिभिः । य ईं॒ पुष्य॑न्त इन्ध॒ते ॥ (५)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
जो यजमान अग्नि को हव्य देकर प्रसन्न करते हैं, बढ़ाते हैं एवं समिधाओं द्वारा प्रज्वलित करते हैं, हम उन्हीं के समान बनें. (५)
EN English Translation
Let us be like those who please, enhance and ignite the host agni by giving it a greeting. (5)
ते रा॒या ते सु॒वीर्यैः॑ सस॒वांसो॒ वि शृ॑ण्विरे । ये अ॒ग्ना द॑धि॒रे दुवः॑ ॥ (६)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
जो यजमान अग्नि की सेवा करते हैं, वे अग्नि की सेवा से धन पाकर एवं प्रसिद्ध पुत्र- पौत्रादि द्वारा प्रसिद्ध बनते हैं. (६)
EN English Translation
The hosts who serve the agni become famous by receiving money from the service of agni and by the famous son- grandson. (6)
अ॒स्मे रायो॑ दि॒वेदि॑वे॒ सं च॑रन्तु पुरु॒स्पृहः॑ । अ॒स्मे वाजा॑स ईरताम् ॥ (७)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
ऋत्विज् आदि द्वारा चाहा गया धन प्रतिदिन हम यजमानों के समीप आवे एवं अन्न हमें यज्ञ की प्रेरणा दे. (७)
EN English Translation
The money sought by the ritwij etc. should come to the hosts every day and the food should inspire us to perform the yajna. (7)
स विप्र॑श्चर्षणी॒नां शव॑सा॒ मानु॑षाणाम् । अति॑ क्षि॒प्रेव॑ विध्यति ॥ (८)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
मेधावी अग्नि अपनी शक्ति द्वारा मानव प्रजाओं के नष्ट करने योग्य पाप सर्वथा नष्ट करते हैं. (८)
EN English Translation
The brilliant agni completely destroys the sins that are worthy of destruction of the human subjects by its power. (8)
