म॒नु॒ष्वत्त्वा॒ नि धी॑महि मनु॒ष्वत्समि॑धीमहि । अग्ने॑ मनु॒ष्वद॑ङ्गिरो दे॒वान्दे॑वय॒ते य॑ज ॥ (१)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे अग्नि! हम मनु के समान तुम्हें धारण एवं प्रज्वलित करते हैं. हे अंगारयुक्त अग्नि! तुम देवों की कामना करने वाले यजमानों का यज्ञ करो. (१)
EN English Translation
O agni! We hold and ignite you like Manu. O embellished agni! You perform the yajna of the hosts who wish for the gods. (1)
त्वं हि मानु॑षे॒ जनेऽग्ने॒ सुप्री॑त इ॒ध्यसे॑ । स्रुच॑स्त्वा यन्त्यानु॒षक्सुजा॑त॒ सर्पि॑रासुते ॥ (२)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे अग्नि! तुम स्तोत्रों द्वारा प्रसन्न होकर मानवलोक में प्रज्वलित होते हो. हे सुजात एवं घृतयुक्त अन्न के स्वामी अग्नि! हव्य से पूर्ण खुच तुम्हें सदा प्राप्त करता है. (२)
EN English Translation
O agni! You are pleased with the hymns and are ignited in the human world. O agni, lord of the sujat and the abominable food! The whole khuch from the havya always receives you. (2)
त्वां विश्वे॑ स॒जोष॑सो दे॒वासो॑ दू॒तम॑क्रत । स॒प॒र्यन्त॑स्त्वा कवे य॒ज्ञेषु॑ दे॒वमी॑ळते ॥ (३)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे क्रांतदर्शी अग्नि! सब देवों ने परस्पर प्रसन्न होकर, तुम्हें अपना दूत बनाया था. इसीलिए यज्ञां में तुम्हारी सेवा करते हुए यजमान देवों को बुलाने हेतु तुम्हारी सेवा करते हैं. (३)
EN English Translation
O revolutionary agni! All the gods, pleased with each other, made you their messengers. That is why, while serving you in the yagnas, the hosts serve you to call the gods. (3)
दे॒वं वो॑ देवय॒ज्यया॒ग्निमी॑ळीत॒ मर्त्यः॑ । समि॑द्धः शुक्र दीदिह्यृ॒तस्य॒ योनि॒मास॑दः स॒सस्य॒ योनि॒मास॑दः ॥ (४)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे दीप्तिशाली अग्नि! यजमान देवयज्ञ के निमित्त तुम्हारी स्तुति करते हैं. हे ज्वालायुक्त अग्नि! तुम हवि से समृद्ध होकर चमको. मुझ सस ऋषि के यज्ञस्थान में तुम ठहरो. (४)
EN English Translation
O glorious agni! The hosts praise you for the sake of the divine. O fiery agni! You shine rich in havi. You stay in the yajnasthan of my sage. (4)
