प्र वि॑श्वसामन्नत्रि॒वदर्चा॑ पाव॒कशो॑चिषे । यो अ॑ध्व॒रेष्वीड्यो॒ होता॑ म॒न्द्रत॑मो वि॒शि ॥ (१)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे विश्वसामा ऋषि! तुम अत्रि ऋषि के समान पवित्र प्रकाश वाले अग्नि की पूजा करो. वे यज्ञों में सभी ऋत्विजों द्वारा स्तुत्य, देवों को बुलाने वाले एवं मानवों में सबसे अधिक पूज्य हैं. (१)
EN English Translation
O Sage of Faith! Worship the agni with the holy light like the sage Atri. They are the ones praised by all the ritvijas in the yagnas, those who call the gods and are the most revered among the human beings. (1)
न्य१॒॑ग्निं जा॒तवे॑दसं॒ दधा॑ता दे॒वमृ॒त्विज॑म् । प्र य॒ज्ञ ए॑त्वानु॒षग॒द्या दे॒वव्य॑चस्तमः ॥ (२)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे यजमानो! तुम जातवेद, ह्युतिमान एवं ऋतु अनुसार यज्ञ करने वाले अग्नि को धारण करो. देवों को अतिशय प्रिय व यज्ञ-साधन के रूप में हमारे द्वारा दिया गया हवि आज अग्नि को प्राप्त हो. (२)
EN English Translation
O hosts! You should wear the agni that performs yajna according to the jataveda, the hutiman and the season. May the gods be very dear and blessed by us as a means of sacrifice to the agni today. (2)
चि॒कि॒त्विन्म॑नसं त्वा दे॒वं मर्ता॑स ऊ॒तये॑ । वरे॑ण्यस्य॒ तेऽव॑स इया॒नासो॑ अमन्महि ॥ (३)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे दीप्तिशाली एवं ज्ञानसंपन्न मन वाले अग्नि! तुम्हारे समीप जाते हुए हम मनुष्य तुझ संभवनीय को तृप्त करने के लिए स्तुति करते हैं. (३)
EN English Translation
O agni with a bright and knowledgeable mind! As we approach you, we men praise you for satisfying the possible. (3)
अग्ने॑ चिकि॒द्ध्य१॒॑स्य न॑ इ॒दं वचः॑ सहस्य । तं त्वा॑ सुशिप्र दम्पते॒ स्तोमै॑र्वर्ध॒न्त्यत्र॑यो गी॒र्भिः शु॑म्भ॒न्त्यत्र॑यः ॥ (४)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे बलपुत्र अग्नि! हमारी इस सेवारूपी स्तुति को जानो. हे सुंदर नाक वाले एवं गृहस्वामी अग्नि! अत्रि ऋषि के पुत्र तुम्हें स्तुतियों द्वारा वर्द्धित एवं वचनों से अलंकृत करते हैं. (४)
EN English Translation
O son of strength, agni! Know this praise of our service. O beautiful-nosed and housewife agni! The sons of sage Atri enrich you with praises and adorn you with words. (4)
