अच्छा॑ वो अ॒ग्निमव॑से दे॒वं गा॑सि॒ स नो॒ वसुः॑ । रास॑त्पु॒त्र ऋ॑षू॒णामृ॒तावा॑ पर्षति द्वि॒षः ॥ (१)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे धन के अभिलाषी ऋषियो! तुम रक्षा के लिए अग्नि की स्तुति करो. अग्निहोत्र के निमित्त यजमानों के घर में रहने वाले अग्नि हमारी अभिलाषा पूर्ण करें. ऋषियों के पुत्र एवं सत्ययुक्त अग्नि हमें शत्रुओं से सुरक्षित करें. (१)
EN English Translation
O richeshakes! Praise agni for your protection. May the agnis living in the house of hosts for the sake of agnihotra fulfill our desire. May the sons of the sages and the righteous agni protect us from our enemies. (1)
स हि स॒त्यो यं पूर्वे॑ चिद्दे॒वास॑श्चि॒द्यमी॑धि॒रे । होता॑रं म॒न्द्रजि॑ह्व॒मित्सु॑दी॒तिभि॑र्वि॒भाव॑सुम् ॥ (२)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
प्राचीन ऋषियों एवं देवों ने देवों को बुलाने वाले, प्रसन्नताकारक जीभ वाले, शोभन दीप्तियों से युक्त एवं प्रभा वाले जिस अग्नि को प्रज्वलित किया था, वे सत्यप्रतिज्ञ हैं. (२)
EN English Translation
The agni that the ancient sages and gods ignited by the ancient sages and devas that called the gods, with happy tongues, with adornment lights and with aura, are true. (2)
स नो॑ धी॒ती वरि॑ष्ठया॒ श्रेष्ठ॑या च सुम॒त्या । अग्ने॑ रा॒यो दि॑दीहि नः सुवृ॒क्तिभि॑र्वरेण्य ॥ (३)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे शोभन स्तुतियों द्वारा प्रशंसित एवं वरण करने योग्य अग्नि! तुम हमारे अतिशय प्रशंसनीय एवं श्रेष्ठ सेवारूपी कर्म से एवं स्तुतियों से प्रसन्न होकर हमें धन दो. (३)
EN English Translation
O glorious agni admired and admired by praises! You, pleased with our most praiseworthy and noble service deeds and praises, give us wealth. (3)
अ॒ग्निर्दे॒वेषु॑ राजत्य॒ग्निर्मर्ते॑ष्वावि॒शन् । अ॒ग्निर्नो॑ हव्य॒वाह॑नो॒ऽग्निं धी॒भिः स॑पर्यत ॥ (४)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे यजमान! जो अग्नि देवों के बीच में देवतारूप में प्रकाशित होते हैं, मनुष्यों में आहवानीय आदि रूप से प्रविष्ट हैं एवं जो हमारा हव्य देवों के पास ले जाते हैं, तुम स्तुतियों द्वारा उन्हीं अग्नि की सेवा करो. (४)
EN English Translation
O host! The agni which is illuminated in the form of gods among the gods, the invoked primitives are entered into the human beings and who take our vow to the gods, you serve the same agni by the praises. (4)
अ॒ग्निस्तु॒विश्र॑वस्तमं तु॒विब्र॑ह्माणमुत्त॒मम् । अ॒तूर्तं॑ श्राव॒यत्प॑तिं पु॒त्रं द॑दाति दा॒शुषे॑ ॥ (५)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
अग्नि हव्य देने वाले यजमान को ऐसा पुत्र दें जो अनेक प्रकार के अन्नों का स्वामी, विविध स्तोत्रों से युक्त, उत्तम शत्रुओं से पराजित न होने वाला एवं अपने कर्मो से पूर्वजों के यज्ञ को प्रसिद्ध करने वाला हो. (५)
EN English Translation
Agni, Give a son to yajman, who is the swami of many kinds of food, possessing of various knowledge sources, who is not defeated by the best enemies, and who will make the ancestors yagya famous by his deeds. (5)
अ॒ग्निर्द॑दाति॒ सत्प॑तिं सा॒साह॒ यो यु॒धा नृभिः॑ । अ॒ग्निरत्यं॑ रघु॒ष्यदं॒ जेता॑र॒मप॑राजितम् ॥ (६)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
अग्नि हमें सत्यपालक युद्ध में परिजनों की सहायता से शत्रुओं को पराजित करने वाला, सज्जनों का पालक, शत्रुजयी एवं परम वेगशाली पुत्र दें. (६)
EN English Translation
Let us give us the one who defeats the enemies, the guardian of the gentlemen, the enemy and the most fast-paced son with the help of family members in the battle of truth. (6)
यद्वाहि॑ष्ठं॒ तद॒ग्नये॑ बृ॒हद॑र्च विभावसो । महि॑षीव॒ त्वद्र॒यिस्त्वद्वाजा॒ उदी॑रते ॥ (७)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
सर्वश्रेष्ठ स्तोत्र अग्नि के उद्देश्य से बोला जाता है. हे प्रभायुक्त अग्नि! हमें अधिक मात्रा में अन्न दो, क्योंकि महान् धन एवं अन्न तुम्हीं से उत्पन्न होता है. (७)
EN English Translation
The best hymn is spoken for the purpose of agni. O blazing agni! Give us more food, for great wealth and grain come from you. (7)
तव॑ द्यु॒मन्तो॑ अ॒र्चयो॒ ग्रावे॑वोच्यते बृ॒हत् । उ॒तो ते॑ तन्य॒तुर्य॑था स्वा॒नो अ॑र्त॒ त्मना॑ दि॒वः ॥ (८)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे अग्नि! तुम्हारी लपटें प्रकाश वाली हैं. तुम सोमलता कुचलने वाले पत्थर के समान महान् हो. तुम स्वयं द्योतमान हो. तुम्हारा शब्द मेघगर्जन के समान है. (८)
EN English Translation
O agni! Your flames are light. You are as great as a stone crushing somalta. You are self-indicative. Your word is like thunder. (8)
ए॒वाँ अ॒ग्निं व॑सू॒यवः॑ सहसा॒नं व॑वन्दिम । स नो॒ विश्वा॒ अति॒ द्विषः॒ पर्ष॑न्ना॒वेव॑ सु॒क्रतुः॑ ॥ (९)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
धन की इच्छा करने वाले हम लोग बल का आचरण करने वाले अग्नि की वंदना करते हैं. वे शोभनकर्म वाले अग्नि हमें उसी प्रकार शत्रुओं से पार करें. जिस प्रकार नाव सरिता के पार लगाती है. (९)
EN English Translation
We who desire money worship the agni that conducts force. May those agnis of adornment cross us in the same way as the enemies. The way the boat crosses sarita. (9)
