अग्ने॑ पावक रो॒चिषा॑ म॒न्द्रया॑ देव जि॒ह्वया॑ । आ दे॒वान्व॑क्षि॒ यक्षि॑ च ॥ (१)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे शोधक एवं दीप्तिशाली अग्नि! तुम अपनी दीप्ति और देवों को प्रसन्न करने वाली जिह्वा से यज्ञ में देवों को बुलाओ तथा उनके निमित्त यज्ञ करो. (१)
EN English Translation
O shining and glorious agni! Call the gods in the yajna with your glory and the tongue that pleases the gods and perform yajna for them. (1)
तं त्वा॑ घृतस्नवीमहे॒ चित्र॑भानो स्व॒र्दृश॑म् । दे॒वाँ आ वी॒तये॑ वह ॥ (२)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे घृत प्रेरक एवं अनेक विशाल लपटों वाले अग्नि! तुझ सर्वद्रष्टा की हम याचना करते हैं. हव्य भक्षण करने के लिए तुम देवों को बुलाओ. (२)
EN English Translation
O disgusting inspiration and a agni with many great flames! We beg of your all-seer. You call the gods to eat the havya. (2)
वी॒तिहो॑त्रं त्वा कवे द्यु॒मन्तं॒ समि॑धीमहि । अग्ने॑ बृ॒हन्त॑मध्व॒रे ॥ (३)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे क्रांतदर्शी, हव्य भक्षण करने वाले, यज्ञ को सुशोभित करने वाले, दीप्तिशाली एवं महान् अग्नि! हम यज्ञ में तुम्हें समिधाओं द्वारा प्रज्वलित करते हैं. (३)
EN English Translation
O revolutionary, the devotees of the human being, the adorners of the yagna, the glorious and the great agni! We ignite you through the samidhas in the yajna. (3)
अग्ने॒ विश्वे॑भि॒रा ग॑हि दे॒वेभि॑र्ह॒व्यदा॑तये । होता॑रं त्वा वृणीमहे ॥ (४)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे अग्नि! तुम सब देवों के साथ हव्य देने वाले यजमान के यज्ञ में आओ. इसीलिए हम देवों को बुलाने वाले तुमसे प्रार्थना करते हैं. (४)
EN English Translation
O agni! All of you come to the yagna of the host who gives the havya with the gods. That is why we pray to those who call the gods. (4)
यज॑मानाय सुन्व॒त आग्ने॑ सु॒वीर्यं॑ वह । दे॒वैरा स॑त्सि ब॒र्हिषि॑ ॥ (५)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे अग्नि! तुम सोमरस निचोड़ने वाले यजमान को शोभन बल प्रदान करो एवं देवों के साथ कुशों पर बैठो. (५)
EN English Translation
O agni! You give the sobriety strength to the host who squeezes the somras and sit on the cushions with the gods. (5)
स॒मि॒धा॒नः स॑हस्रजि॒दग्ने॒ धर्मा॑णि पुष्यसि । दे॒वानां॑ दू॒त उ॒क्थ्यः॑ ॥ (६)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे हजारों को जीतने वाले अग्नि! तुम हवियों द्वारा प्रज्वलित, प्रशंसित एवं देवों के दूत बनकर यज्ञकमों को बढ़ाते हो. (६)
EN English Translation
O agni that conquers thousands! You increase the yagnakamas by being ignited, admired and worshipped by the wives and becoming messengers of the gods. (6)
न्य१॒॑ग्निं जा॒तवे॑दसं होत्र॒वाहं॒ यवि॑ष्ठ्यम् । दधा॑ता दे॒वमृ॒त्विज॑म् ॥ (७)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे यजमानो! तुम जातवेद, यज्ञ को वहन करने वाले, अतिशय युवा, दुतियुक्त एवं ऋतु अनुसार यज्ञ करने वाले अग्नि को स्थापित करो. (७)
EN English Translation
O hosts! You install the Jata Veda, the one who carries the yajna, the very young, the dutee-wise and the agni that performs the yajna according to the season. (7)
प्र य॒ज्ञ ए॑त्वानु॒षग॒द्या दे॒वव्य॑चस्तमः । स्तृ॒णी॒त ब॒र्हिरा॒सदे॑ ॥ (८)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
आज प्रकाशमान स्तोताओं द्वारा दिया गया हवि लगातार देवों के पास पहुंचे, हे ऋत्विज्! तुम अग्नि के बैठने के लिए कुश बिछाओ. (८)
EN English Translation
Today, the gifts given by the enlightening hymns constantly reached the gods, O Ritvij! You lay the cushion for the agni to sit. (8)
एदं म॒रुतो॑ अ॒श्विना॑ मि॒त्रः सी॑दन्तु॒ वरु॑णः । दे॒वासः॒ सर्व॑या वि॒शा ॥ (९)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
मरुद्गण, अश्विनीकुमार, मित्र, वरुण आदि देव अपने सभी साथियों को लेकर इन कुशों पर बैठे. (९)
EN English Translation
Marudgana, Ashwinikumar, Friend, Varuna, etc., dev sat on these kushas with all his companions. (9)
