सं भा॒नुना॑ यतते॒ सूर्य॑स्या॒जुह्वा॑नो घृ॒तपृ॑ष्ठः॒ स्वञ्चाः॑ । तस्मा॒ अमृ॑ध्रा उ॒षसो॒ व्यु॑च्छा॒न्य इन्द्रा॑य सु॒नवा॒मेत्याह॑ ॥ (१)

सूर्य के तेज के साथ सभी जगह बुलाए जाते हुए अग्नि प्रदीप्त ज्चालाओं के कारण प्रकाशित होने का प्रयत्न करते हैं. उस समय जो यजमान कहता है कि मैं इंद्र के निमित्त सोमरस निचोड़ता हूं. उसके प्रति उषा हिंसापूर्ण नहीं रहती है. (१)
EN English Translation
With the brightness of the sun, they try to be illuminated due to the agni-lighted flames while being called all over the place. At the time that the host says that I squeeze somers for the sake of Indra. Usha is not violent towards him. (1)
समि॑द्धाग्निर्वनवत्स्ती॒र्णब॑र्हिर्यु॒क्तग्रा॑वा सु॒तसो॑मो जराते । ग्रावा॑णो॒ यस्ये॑षि॒रं वद॒न्त्यय॑दध्व॒र्युर्ह॒विषाव॒ सिन्धु॑म् ॥ (२)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
अन्नि प्रज्वलित करने वाला, कुश बिछाने वाला एवं हाथ में पत्थर उठाकर सोम निचोड़ने वाला यजमान ध्यानपूर्वक स्तुति करता है. जिस अध्वर्यु का पत्थर मधुर शब्द करता है, वह हव्य के साथ नदी में स्नान करता है. (२)
EN English Translation
The host, who ignites the anni, lays the kush and squeezes the mon with a stone in his hand, praises carefully. The adhwaryu, whose stone makes the sweet word, bathes in the river with a havya. (2)
व॒धूरि॒यं पति॑मि॒च्छन्त्ये॑ति॒ य ईं॒ वहा॑ते॒ महि॑षीमिषि॒राम् । आस्य॑ श्रवस्या॒द्रथ॒ आ च॑ घोषात्पु॒रू स॒हस्रा॒ परि॑ वर्तयाते ॥ (३)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
पत्नी यज्ञ में अपने पति के गमन की इच्छा करती हुई, उसके पीछे चलती है. इंद्र इसी प्रकार की महिषी को लाते हैं. अधिक शब्द करने वाला इंद्र का रथ हमारे समीप धन लावे एवं अगणित प्रकार की संपत्तियां चारों ओर बिखेरे. (३)
EN English Translation
The wife follows her husband, wishing to move in the yagna. Indra brings this kind of mahishi. Indra's more-worded chariot should bring us wealth and scatter a variety of properties all around us. (3)
न स राजा॑ व्यथते॒ यस्मि॒न्निन्द्र॑स्ती॒व्रं सोमं॒ पिब॑ति॒ गोस॑खायम् । आ स॑त्व॒नैरज॑ति॒ हन्ति॑ वृ॒त्रं क्षेति॑ क्षि॒तीः सु॒भगो॒ नाम॒ पुष्य॑न् ॥ (४)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
वह राजा कभी दुःखी नहीं होता, जिसके यज्ञ में इंद्र दूध में मिला हुआ नशीला सोमरस पीते हैं. वे अपने सेवकों के साथ चलते हैं, शत्रुओं को मारते हैं, प्रजाओं की रक्षा करते हैं एवं सुखपूर्वक इंद्र की स्तुतियों में वृद्धि करते हैं. (४)
EN English Translation
The king is never sad, in whose yajna Indra drinks intoxicating somras mixed in milk. They walk with their servants, kill enemies, protect the people, and gladly increase the praises of Indra. (4)
पुष्या॒त्क्षेमे॑ अ॒भि योगे॑ भवात्यु॒भे वृतौ॑ संय॒ती सं ज॑याति । प्रि॒यः सूर्ये॑ प्रि॒यो अ॒ग्ना भ॑वाति॒ य इन्द्रा॑य सु॒तसो॑मो॒ ददा॑शत् ॥ (५)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
इंद्र को निचुड़ा हुआ सोमरस देने वाला व्यक्ति बंधुबांधवों का पोषण करता है, प्राप्त धन की रक्षा एवं अप्राप्त धन की प्राप्ति करता है, नित्य वर्तमान रात-दिन को जीतता है एवं सूर्य तथा अग्नि का प्रिय बनता है. (५)
EN English Translation
The person who gives indra a relaxed somaras nourishes the brothers, protects the wealth received and receives the unfulfilled wealth, conquers the constant present night and day and becomes the beloved of the sun and agni. (5)
