को नु वां॑ मित्रावरुणावृता॒यन्दि॒वो वा॑ म॒हः पार्थि॑वस्य वा॒ दे । ऋ॒तस्य॑ वा॒ सद॑सि॒ त्रासी॑थां नो यज्ञाय॒ते वा॑ पशु॒षो न वाजा॑न् ॥ (१)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे मित्र एवं वरुण! मेरे अतिरिक्त कौन यजमान तुम्हारा यज्ञ करने की इच्छा कर सकता है? तुम स्वर्ग, विशाल धरती एवं आकाश में रहकर हमारी रक्षा करते हो. यज्ञ करने वाले मुझ यजमान को तुम पशु एवं अन्न दो तथा उनकी रक्षा करो. (१)
EN English Translation
Oh my friend and Varun! Who other than Me can the host wish to perform your yajna? You protect us by living in heaven, in the vast earth and in the sky. Give me the host of the yajna, you animals and food, and protect them. (1)
ते नो॑ मि॒त्रो वरु॑णो अर्य॒मायुरिन्द्र॑ ऋभु॒क्षा म॒रुतो॑ जुषन्त । नमो॑भिर्वा॒ ये दध॑ते सुवृ॒क्तिं स्तोमं॑ रु॒द्राय॑ मी॒ळ्हुषे॑ स॒जोषाः॑ ॥ (२)

हे मित्र, वरुण, अर्यमा, आयु, इंद्र, ऋभुओ एवं मरुतो! तुम सब हमारे शोभन एवं पापरहित स्तोत्रं तथा नमस्कारों को स्वीकार करो. दयालु रुद्र के साथ प्रसन्न होकर तुम हमारी सेवा स्वीकार करो. (२)
EN English Translation
O friend, Varuna, Aryama, Aayur, Indra, Ribhuo and Maruto! All of you, accept our adornment and sinless hymns and greetings. Please be pleased with the merciful Rudra and accept our service. (2)
आ वां॒ येष्ठा॑श्विना हु॒वध्यै॒ वात॑स्य॒ पत्म॒न्रथ्य॑स्य पु॒ष्टौ । उ॒त वा॑ दि॒वो असु॑राय॒ मन्म॒ प्रान्धां॑सीव॒ यज्य॑वे भरध्वम् ॥ (३)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे अभिलाषाओं का दमन करने वाले अश्विनीकुमारो! हम तुम्हें इस कारण पुकारते हैं कि अपना रथ वायु के समान वेग से चलाओ. हे ऋत्विजो! तुम ह्युतिशाली एवं प्राणहरण करने वाले रुद्र के लिए सुंदर स्तोत्र एवं हव्य अन्न तैयार करो. (३)
EN English Translation
O Ashwinikumaro who suppresses desires! We call upon you because you should drive your chariot at the same speed as the wind. Hey Ritvijo! You prepare beautiful hymns and auspicious food for the mortal and soul-taking Rudra. (3)
प्र स॒क्षणो॑ दि॒व्यः कण्व॑होता त्रि॒तो दि॒वः स॒जोषा॒ वातो॑ अ॒ग्निः । पू॒षा भगः॑ प्रभृ॒थे वि॒श्वभो॑जा आ॒जिं न ज॑ग्मुरा॒श्व॑श्वतमाः ॥ (४)

यज्ञ को स्वीकार करने वाले, मेधावियों द्वारा बुलाए गए, तीन स्थानों में उत्पन्न होकर भी सूर्य के समान प्रसन्नता देने वाले एवं विश्वरक्षक वायु, अग्नि एवं पूषा देव हमारे यज्ञ में आशुगामी अश्व के समान शीघ्र आवें. (४)
EN English Translation
May the god who accepts the yajna, called by the meritorious, who is born in three places, who gives happiness like the sun and the world-keeper vayu, agni and pusha, come to our yajna as soon as the ashugami horse. (4)
प्र वो॑ र॒यिं यु॒क्ताश्वं॑ भरध्वं रा॒य एषेऽव॑से दधीत॒ धीः । सु॒शेव॒ एवै॑रौशि॒जस्य॒ होता॒ ये व॒ एवा॑ मरुतस्तु॒राणा॑म् ॥ (५)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे मरुतो! तुम हमें अश्वयुक्त संपत्ति प्रदान करो. स्तोताजन धन पाने एवं उसकी रक्षा के निमित्त तुम्हारी स्तुति करते हैं. उशिज के पुत्र कक्षीवान् राजा के होता अत्रि तेज चलने वाले घोड़े पाकर सुखी हों. तुम्हारे दिए हुए वे घोड़े वेगवान् हों. (५)
EN English Translation
O Maruto! You provide us with horse-fitting property. The Stotajans praise you for getting and protecting wealth. The son of Ushij is happy to have a fast-moving horse. Let the horses you give us be different. (5)
प्र वो॑ वा॒युं र॑थ॒युजं॑ कृणुध्वं॒ प्र दे॒वं विप्रं॑ पनि॒तार॑म॒र्कैः । इ॒षु॒ध्यव॑ ऋत॒सापः॒ पुरं॑धी॒र्वस्वी॑र्नो॒ अत्र॒ पत्नी॒रा धि॒ये धुः॑ ॥ (६)

हे ऋत्विजो! तुम तेजस्वी, विशेषरूप से कामपूरक एवं स्तुतियोग्य वायुदेव को यज्ञ में जाने के लिए अर्चनीय स्तुतियों द्वारा विशेष प्रकार से रथ पर बैठाओ. गतिशालिनी यज्ञ का स्पर्श करने वाली, रूपवती एवं प्रशंसायोग्य देव पत्नियां हमारे यज्ञ में आवें. (६)
EN English Translation
Hey Ritvijo! You sit on the chariot in a special way with indecisive praises to go to the yajna, especially the bright, especially the full and praiseworthy Vayudev. May the wives of the dev wives, who touch the gatishalini yajna, come to our yajna. (6)
उप॑ व॒ एषे॒ वन्द्ये॑भिः शू॒षैः प्र य॒ह्वी दि॒वश्चि॒तय॑द्भिर॒र्कैः । उ॒षासा॒नक्ता॑ वि॒दुषी॑व॒ विश्व॒मा हा॑ वहतो॒ मर्त्या॑य य॒ज्ञम् ॥ (७)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे महती उषा एवं रात्रि! हम वंदना के योग्य अन्य देवों के साथ-साथ तुम्हारे लिए सुखकर एवं ज्ञान कराने वाले मंत्रं द्वारा हव्य देते हैं. तुम यजमान के सभी कर्मो को जानकर यज्ञ में आओ. (७)
EN English Translation
O great usha and night! We give havan to you with mantras that bring happiness and knowledge to you along with other gods worthy of worship. You know all the deeds of the host and come to the yagna. (7)
अ॒भि वो॑ अर्चे पो॒ष्याव॑तो॒ नॄन्वास्तो॒ष्पतिं॒ त्वष्टा॑रं॒ ररा॑णः । धन्या॑ स॒जोषा॑ धि॒षणा॒ नमो॑भि॒र्वन॒स्पती॒ँरोष॑धी रा॒य एषे॑ ॥ (८)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हम अनेक भक्तों के पोषक व यज्ञ के नेता आप देवों की स्तुति धन पाने के लिए हव्य देकर करते हैं. हम वास्तुपति, त्वष्टा, धनदात्री व अन्य देवों के साथ रहने वाले धिषणा, वनस्पतियों एवं ओषधियों की स्तुति करते हैं. (८)
EN English Translation
We are the nurturer of many devotees and the leader of the yagna, you praise the gods by giving them a vow to get wealth. We praise the dhishanas, flora and herbs living with vaastupati, tvastha, dhandatri and other gods. (8)
तु॒जे न॒स्तने॒ पर्व॑ताः सन्तु॒ स्वैत॑वो॒ ये वस॑वो॒ न वी॒राः । प॒नि॒त आ॒प्त्यो य॑ज॒तः सदा॑ नो॒ वर्धा॑न्नः॒ शंसं॒ नर्यो॑ अ॒भिष्टौ॑ ॥ (९)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
वे मेघ जो वीरों के समान संसार को निवासस्थान देने वाले, शोभन गतियुक्त, स्तुति योग्य, सबके प्राप्त करने योग्य, यज्ञ के पात्र एवं सदा मानवों का हित करने वाले हैं, हमारे लिए विस्तृत दान के अनुकूल बनें. (९)
EN English Translation
May the clouds, who like heroes, give a place of abode to the world, are sociable, worthy of praise, worthy of sacrifice, and are always in the interest of human beings, may they be compatible with the extensive charity for us. (9)
वृष्णो॑ अस्तोषि भू॒म्यस्य॒ गर्भं॑ त्रि॒तो नपा॑तम॒पां सु॑वृ॒क्ति । गृ॒णी॒ते अ॒ग्निरे॒तरी॒ न शू॒षैः शो॒चिष्के॑शो॒ नि रि॑णाति॒ वना॑ ॥ (१०)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हम अंतरिक्ष में स्थित एवं वर्षा करने वाले, बादल के गर्भरूप एवं जल के रक्षक विद्युतरूप अग्नि की स्तुति पापरहित एवं शोभन स्तोत्रों द्वारा करते हैं. तीन स्थानों में व्याप्त वे अग्नि मेरे गमन के समय अपनी लपटों से मुझ पर क्रोध नहीं करते, अपितु प्रज्वलित होकर जंगलों को जलाते हैं. (१०)
EN English Translation
We praise the agni in space and the raining, the womb of the cloud and the protector of water, the electric agni, through sinless and adorning hymns. Those agnis in three places do not anger me with their flames at the time of my journey, but ignite and burn the forests. (10)
क॒था म॒हे रु॒द्रिया॑य ब्रवाम॒ कद्रा॒ये चि॑कि॒तुषे॒ भगा॑य । आप॒ ओष॑धीरु॒त नो॑ऽवन्तु॒ द्यौर्वना॑ गि॒रयो॑ वृ॒क्षके॑शाः ॥ (११)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हम अत्रिगोत्र वाले ऋषि महान् रुद्र की स्तुति किस प्रकार करें? हम सर्वज्ञ भग से धन पाने के लिए कौन सी स्तुति बोलें? वे पर्वत हमारी रक्षा करें, जिनके केश जल, ओषधियां, घी, वन और वृक्ष हैं. (११)
EN English Translation
How can we praise the great Rudra, the sage of Atrigotra? What praise should we speak to get wealth from the omniscient God? Protect us the mountains whose hair is water, herbs, ghee, forests and trees. (11)
शृ॒णोतु॑ न ऊ॒र्जां पति॒र्गिरः॒ स नभ॒स्तरी॑याँ इषि॒रः परि॑ज्मा । शृ॒ण्वन्त्वापः॒ पुरो॒ न शु॒भ्राः परि॒ स्रुचो॑ बबृहा॒णस्याद्रेः॑ ॥ (१२)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
बल के स्वामी, आकाशचारी, अतिशय तरण वाले, गतिशील एवं चारों ओर जाने वाले वायु हमारी स्तुतियां सुनें. नगरों के समान शुभ्र एवं विशाल पर्वत के चारों ओर वाली जलधारा हमारी स्तुतियां सुने. (१२)
EN English Translation
Listen to our praises, the masters of force, the sky-bearers, the super-swimming, the moving and the wind that moves around. The waters around the great mountains, like the cities, hear our praises. (12)
वि॒दा चि॒न्नु म॑हान्तो॒ ये व॒ एवा॒ ब्रवा॑म दस्मा॒ वार्यं॒ दधा॑नाः । वय॑श्च॒न सु॒भ्व१॒॑ आव॑ यन्ति क्षु॒भा मर्त॒मनु॑यतं वध॒स्नैः ॥ (१३)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे महान् मरुतो! तुम हमारी स्तुतियों को शीघ्र जानो. हे दर्शनीय! हम सुंदर हव्य लेकर तुम्हारी स्तुति करते हैं. मरुद्गण हमारे सामने भले बनकर आवें एवं हमारे प्रति क्षोभ रखने वाले मरणधर्मा शत्रु को अपने आयुधों से मारें. (१३)
EN English Translation
O great Maruto! You must know Our praises quickly. O you seeable! We praise you with a beautiful greeting. Let the deserts come before us as good and kill with their weapons the mortal enemy who is angry with us. (13)
आ दैव्या॑नि॒ पार्थि॑वानि॒ जन्मा॒पश्चाच्छा॒ सुम॑खाय वोचम् । वर्ध॑न्तां॒ द्यावो॒ गिर॑श्च॒न्द्राग्रा॑ उ॒दा व॑र्धन्ताम॒भिषा॑ता॒ अर्णाः॑ ॥ (१४)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हम दिव्य-जन्म एवं पृथ्वी-संबंधी जल पाने के लिए सुंदर यज्ञ वाले मरुतों को आहुति देते हैं. हमारी स्तुतियां अर्थ प्रकाशित करती हुई आनंदपूर्वक बढ़ें एवं मरुतों द्वारा पोषित नदियां जल से पूर्ण हों. (१४)
EN English Translation
We offer prayers to the maruts with beautiful yagnas to get divine birth and earth-related water. May our praises grow joyfully, illuminating meaning, and let the rivers nourished by the maruts be filled with water. (14)
प॒देप॑दे मे जरि॒मा नि धा॑यि॒ वरू॑त्री वा श॒क्रा या पा॒युभि॑श्च । सिष॑क्तु मा॒ता म॒ही र॒सा नः॒ स्मत्सू॒रिभि॑रृजु॒हस्त॑ ऋजु॒वनिः॑ ॥ (१५)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हम सदा-सर्वदा उस भूमि की स्तुति करते हैं, जो शक्तिशालिनी, अपनी रक्षा शक्तियों द्वारा हमारे उपद्रव निवारण करने वाली, सबका निर्माण करने वाली, महती एवं साररूप है. वह प्रसिद्ध एवं मेधावी स्तोताओं के अनुकूल बनकर कल्याणकारिणी हो. (१५)
EN English Translation
We have always praised the land which is powerful, by its defence powers, the one that dispels our mischief, the creator of all, the great and the essence. He should be well-suited to famous and meritorious hymns. (15)
क॒था दा॑शेम॒ नम॑सा सु॒दानू॑नेव॒या म॒रुतो॒ अच्छो॑क्तौ॒ प्रश्र॑वसो म॒रुतो॒ अच्छो॑क्तौ । मा नोऽहि॑र्बु॒ध्न्यो॑ रि॒षे धा॑द॒स्माकं॑ भूदुपमाति॒वनिः॑ ॥ (१६)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हम शोभन दान वाले मरुतों की स्तुतियों द्वारा किस प्रकार सेवा करें? किस प्रकार की स्तुति द्वारा उनकी उचित पूजा करें? प्रातःकाल जागने वाले देव हमारी हिंसा न करें एवं हमारे शत्रुओं को नष्ट करने वाले हों. (१६)
EN English Translation
How do we serve the generously-donated maruts by the praises of the maruts? By what kind of praise should you worship them properly? May the gods who wake up in the morning not let us violence us and let the gods who are to destroy our enemies. (16)
इति॑ चि॒न्नु प्र॒जायै॑ पशु॒मत्यै॒ देवा॑सो॒ वन॑ते॒ मर्त्यो॑ व॒ आ दे॑वासो वनते॒ मर्त्यो॑ वः । अत्रा॑ शि॒वां त॒न्वो॑ धा॒सिम॒स्या ज॒रां चि॑न्मे॒ निरृ॑तिर्जग्रसीत ॥ (१७)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे देवो! यजमान लोग संतान एवं पशु पाने के लिए शीघ्र तुम्हारी सेवा करते है. निर्त्ति इस यज्ञ में उत्तम अन्न द्वारा मेरा शरीर पुष्ट बनावें एवं मेरा बुढ़ापा दूर करें. (१७)
EN English Translation
Oh, God! Hosts serve you quickly to get children and animals. Let the nirti make my body strong with the best food in this yajna and remove my old age. (17)
तां वो॑ देवाः सुम॒तिमू॒र्जय॑न्ती॒मिष॑मश्याम वसवः॒ शसा॒ गोः । सा नः॑ सु॒दानु॑र्मृ॒ळय॑न्ती दे॒वी प्रति॒ द्रव॑न्ती सुवि॒ताय॑ गम्याः ॥ (१८)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे दीप्तिशाली वसुओ! हम तुम्हारी गायरूपी स्तुति से शक्तिकारक दूधरूपी अन्न प्राप्त करें. वह शोभन दान वाली देवी हमें सुख पहुंचाती हुई शीघ्र हमारे सामने आवे. (१८)
EN English Translation
O glorious Vasuo! Let us get powerful milk-like food from your cowly praise. May that godly goddess of shobhan daan come before us soon, bringing us happiness. (18)
अ॒भि न॒ इळा॑ यू॒थस्य॑ मा॒ता स्मन्न॒दीभि॑रु॒र्वशी॑ वा गृणातु । उ॒र्वशी॑ वा बृहद्दि॒वा गृ॑णा॒नाभ्यू॑र्ण्वा॒ना प्र॑भृ॒थस्या॒योः ॥ (१९)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
गायों के समूह का निर्माण करने वाली इड़ा एवं उर्वशी सब नदियों के साथ मिलकर हम पर अनुग्रह करें. परम दीप्तिशाली उर्वशी शब्द करती हुई हमारे यज्ञ की प्रशंसा करती है एवं यजमानों को अपने प्रकाश से ढकती है. (१९)
EN English Translation
May Ida and Urvashi, who form a group of cows, join hands with all the rivers and have mercy on us. The most radiant Urvashi praises our yajna by saying the words and covers the hosts with her light. (19)

ऊर्जव्य राजा को पुष्ट करने वाले देवगण हमारी बार-बार रक्षा करें. (२०)

May the devas who confirm the Energya king protect us again and again. (20)
