ऋत॑स्य गोपा॒वधि॑ तिष्ठथो॒ रथं॒ सत्य॑धर्माणा पर॒मे व्यो॑मनि । यमत्र॑ मित्रावरु॒णाव॑थो यु॒वं तस्मै॑ वृ॒ष्टिर्मधु॑मत्पिन्वते दि॒वः ॥ (१)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे जल के रक्षक एवं सत्यधर्म से युक्त मित्र एवं वरुण! तुम विस्तृत आकाश में स्थित अपने रथ में बैठते हो. हे मित्र व वरुण! इस यज्ञ में तुम जिस यजमान की रक्षा करते हो, उसके लिए आकाश से मधुर वर्षा होती है. (१)
EN English Translation
O protector of water and a friend of truth and Varuna! You sit in your chariot located in the wide sky. Oh my friend and Varun! In this yajna, there is a sweet rain from the sky for the host you protect. (1)
स॒म्राजा॑व॒स्य भुव॑नस्य राजथो॒ मित्रा॑वरुणा वि॒दथे॑ स्व॒र्दृशा॑ । वृ॒ष्टिं वां॒ राधो॑ अमृत॒त्वमी॑महे॒ द्यावा॑पृथि॒वी वि च॑रन्ति त॒न्यवः॑ ॥ (२)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे स्वर्ग को देखने वाले मित्र एवं वरुण! तुम इस यज्ञ में सुशोभित होकर संसार पर शासन करते हो. हम तुमसे धन, वर्षा एवं स्वर्ग की प्रार्थना करते हैं. तुम्हारी किरणें धरती एवं आकाश में फैलती हैं. (२)
EN English Translation
O friends who see heaven and Varuna! You rule the world by adorning it in this yajna. We pray to you for wealth, rain and heaven. Your rays spread across the earth and the sky. (2)
स॒म्राजा॑ उ॒ग्रा वृ॑ष॒भा दि॒वस्पती॑ पृथि॒व्या मि॒त्रावरु॑णा॒ विच॑र्षणी । चि॒त्रेभि॑र॒भ्रैरुप॑ तिष्ठथो॒ रवं॒ द्यां व॑र्षयथो॒ असु॑रस्य मा॒यया॑ ॥ (३)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे परम सुशोभित, उग्र, जल बरसाने वाले, धरती तथा आकाश के स्वामी एवं सबको देखने वाले मित्र व वरुण! तुम सुंदर मेघों के साथ हमारी स्तुति सुनने को आओ एवं मेघ के सामर्थ्य से आकाश से जल बरसाओ. (३)
EN English Translation
O the most adorned, the fierce, the one who rains water, the lord of the earth and the sky, and the friends and Varuna who see all! Come to hear Our praise with the beautiful clouds and pour out water from the sky by the power of the cloud. (3)
मा॒या वां॑ मित्रावरुणा दि॒वि श्रि॒ता सूर्यो॒ ज्योति॑श्चरति चि॒त्रमायु॑धम् । तम॒भ्रेण॑ वृ॒ष्ट्या गू॑हथो दि॒वि पर्ज॑न्य द्र॒प्सा मधु॑मन्त ईरते ॥ (४)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे मित्र एवं वरुण! आकाश में यह तुम्हारी माया है, जो शोभन रूप वाले तुम्हारे आयुध के रूप में तेजस्वी सूर्य विचरण करता है. तुम बादल और वर्षा द्वारा आकाश में सूर्य की रक्षा करते हो. हे बादल! तुम मित्र एवं वरुण की प्रेरणा से मधुर जल बरसाते हो. (४)
EN English Translation
Oh my friend and Varun! In the sky it is your Maya, which makes the sun wander as bright as your umbit with a adornment form. You protect the sun in the sky by clouds and rain. Oh, the clouds! You shower sweet water with the inspiration of friends and Varuna. (4)
रथं॑ युञ्जते म॒रुतः॑ शु॒भे सु॒खं शूरो॒ न मि॑त्रावरुणा॒ गवि॑ष्टिषु । रजां॑सि चि॒त्रा वि च॑रन्ति त॒न्यवो॑ दि॒वः स॑म्राजा॒ पय॑सा न उक्षतम् ॥ (५)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे मित्र व वरुण! युद्धार्थी शूर के समान मरुद्गण जलवर्षा करने के लिए तुम्हारी कृपा से सुंदर द्वारों वाले रथ में घोड़े जोड़े हैं एवं विभिन्न लोकों में घूमते हैं. हे भली प्रकार सुशोभित मित्र एवं वरुण! तुम मरुतों के साथ हमारे कल्याण के लिए आकाश से वर्षा करो. (५)
EN English Translation
Oh my friend and Varun! Like the warlord knights, the deserts have joined horses in the chariot with beautiful gates by your grace and roam around in different realms. O well-groomed friend and Varun! You rain down from the sky for our welfare with the Maruts. (5)
वाचं॒ सु मि॑त्रावरुणा॒विरा॑वतीं प॒र्जन्य॑श्चि॒त्रां व॑दति॒ त्विषी॑मतीम् । अ॒भ्रा व॑सत म॒रुतः॒ सु मा॒यया॒ द्यां व॑र्षयतमरु॒णाम॑रे॒पस॑म् ॥ (६)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे मित्र व वरुण! तुम्हारी कृपा से बादल अन्न का साधक, मनोहर एवं तेजस्वी गर्जन करता है. मरुद्गण अपनी शोभन यात्रा द्वारा बादलों को ढक लेते हैं. तुम मरुद्गण के साथ आकाश से लाल रंग की तथा दोषरहित वर्षा करते हो. (६)
EN English Translation
Oh my friend and Varun! By your grace, the seeker of cloud grain, the seeker of the food, the charming and the stunning roar. The deserts cover the clouds with their shobhan yatra. You rain red and faultlessly from the sky with the deserts. (6)
धर्म॑णा मित्रावरुणा विपश्चिता व्र॒ता र॑क्षेथे॒ असु॑रस्य मा॒यया॑ । ऋ॒तेन॒ विश्वं॒ भुव॑नं॒ वि रा॑जथः॒ सूर्य॒मा ध॑त्थो दि॒वि चित्र्यं॒ रथ॑म् ॥ (७)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे बुद्धिसंपन्न मित्र व वरुण! तुम वर्षा द्वारा यज्ञ की रक्षा करते हो एवं बादलों की माया के कारण जल के द्वारा सारे संसार को सुशोभित बनाते हो. तुम गतिशील एवं पूज्य सूर्य को आकाश में धारण करो. (७)
EN English Translation
O wise friend and Varuna! You protect the yajna by rain and beautify the whole world through water because of the maya of the clouds. You hold the moving and revered sun in the sky. (7)
