त्वं ह्य॑ग्ने प्रथ॒मो म॒नोता॒स्या धि॒यो अभ॑वो दस्म॒ होता॑ । त्वं सीं॑ वृषन्नकृणोर्दु॒ष्टरी॑तु॒ सहो॒ विश्व॑स्मै॒ सह॑से॒ सह॑ध्यै ॥ (१)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे अग्नि! तुम्हीं देवों में श्रेष्ठ हो. उनका मन तुमसे संबद्ध है. हे दर्शनीय! तुम ही इस यज्ञ में देवों को बुलाने वाले हो. हे कामवर्षी! सभी शत्रुओं को पराजित करने के लिए तुम हमें अद्वितीय शक्ति दो. (१)
EN English Translation
O agni! You are the best of gods. Their mind is related to you. O you seeable! You are the one who is going to call the gods in this yajna. Oh, yearly! Give us unique power to defeat all enemies. (1)
अधा॒ होता॒ न्य॑सीदो॒ यजी॑यानि॒ळस्प॒द इ॒षय॒न्नीड्यः॒ सन् । तं त्वा॒ नरः॑ प्रथ॒मं दे॑व॒यन्तो॑ म॒हो रा॒ये चि॒तय॑न्तो॒ अनु॑ ग्मन् ॥ (२)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे अतिशय यज्ञपात्र व होता अग्नि! तुम हव्य ग्रहण करके प्रशंसनीय बनते हुए यज्ञवेदी पर बैठी. देव बनने की कामना करते हुए ऋत्विज् आदि विशाल धन पाने के लिए तुझ देवोत्तम अग्नि का अनुगमन करते हैं. (२)
EN English Translation
This is a very sacrificial and there was agni! You sat on the yajna vend, becoming admirable by accepting the greeting. Wishing to become a god, ritwij etc. follow your godly agni to get huge wealth. (2)
वृ॒तेव॒ यन्तं॑ ब॒हुभि॑र्वस॒व्यै॒३॒॑स्त्वे र॒यिं जा॑गृ॒वांसो॒ अनु॑ ग्मन् । रुश॑न्तम॒ग्निं द॑र्श॒तं बृ॒हन्तं॑ व॒पाव॑न्तं वि॒श्वहा॑ दीदि॒वांस॑म् ॥ (३)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे दीप्तिशाली, दर्शनीय, महान्, हव्य के स्वामी, सभी कालों में प्रकाशयुक्त एवं वसुओं के मार्ग से गमन करने वाले अग्नि! धन के अभिलाषी यजमान तुम्हारा अनुगमन करते हैं. (३)
EN English Translation
O glorious, spectacular, great, lord of the universe, the light-lit in all times and the agni that travels through the way of vasus! The host who desires wealth follows you. (3)
प॒दं दे॒वस्य॒ नम॑सा॒ व्यन्तः॑ श्रव॒स्यवः॒ श्रव॑ आप॒न्नमृ॑क्तम् । नामा॑नि चिद्दधिरे य॒ज्ञिया॑नि भ॒द्रायां॑ ते रणयन्त॒ संदृ॑ष्टौ ॥ (४)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
अन्न चाहने वाले यजमान स्तुतियों के साथ अग्नि के स्थान में जाकर दूसरों द्वारा बाधारहित धन पाते हैं. हे अग्नि! तुम्हारा दर्शन हो जाने पर वे तुम्हारी स्तुतियों में आनंद पाते हैं एवं तुम्हारे यज्ञसंबंधी नामों को बोलते हैं. (४)
EN English Translation
Food seekers go to the place of agni with host hymns and find unhindered wealth by others. O agni! When you have a vision, they find joy in your praises and speak your sacrificial names. (4)
त्वां व॑र्धन्ति क्षि॒तयः॑ पृथि॒व्यां त्वां राय॑ उ॒भया॑सो॒ जना॑नाम् । त्वं त्रा॒ता त॑रणे॒ चेत्यो॑ भूः पि॒ता मा॒ता सद॒मिन्मानु॑षाणाम् ॥ (५)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे अग्नि! ऋत्विज् आदि तुम्हें वेदी पर प्रज्वलित करते हैं. इसके कारण उनका पशुधन एवं पशुओं से अतिरिक्त धन बढ़ता है. हे दुःखविनाशक अग्नि! तुम स्तुति सुनकर मनुष्यों के रक्षक एवं माता-पिता बन जाते हो. (५)
EN English Translation
O agni! Ritwij etc. ignite you on the altar. By inviting you (agni), their extra wealth from livestock and animals increases. O sadness-remover agni! You hear praise and become protectors and parents of men. (5)
स॒प॒र्येण्यः॒ स प्रि॒यो वि॒क्ष्व१॒॑ग्निर्होता॑ म॒न्द्रो नि ष॑सादा॒ यजी॑यान् । तं त्वा॑ व॒यं दम॒ आ दी॑दि॒वांस॒मुप॑ ज्ञु॒बाधो॒ नम॑सा सदेम ॥ (६)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
पूज्य, प्रिय, प्रजाओं का होम पूर्ण करने वाले, आनंदप्रद एवं अतिशय यज्ञपात्र अग्नि यज्ञवेदी पर बैठते हैं. हे यज्ञशाला में प्रज्वलित अग्नि! हम घुटने झुकाकर स्तोत्र बोलते हुए तुम्हारे पास बैठे. (६)
EN English Translation
The revered, beloved, the home-fulfilling people, the blissful and the most sacrificial yajnapatra sit on the agni yajnavedi. O agni ignited in the yajnashala! We bowed our knees and sat beside you, speaking the hymn. (6)
तं त्वा॑ व॒यं सु॒ध्यो॒३॒॑ नव्य॑मग्ने सुम्ना॒यव॑ ईमहे देव॒यन्तः॑ । त्वं विशो॑ अनयो॒ दीद्या॑नो दि॒वो अ॑ग्ने बृह॒ता रो॑च॒नेन॑ ॥ (७)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे स्तुति-योग्य अग्नि! शोभन हृदयसंपन्न सुख के इच्छुक एवं देवाभिलाषी हम लोग तुम्हारी स्तुति करते हैं. हे तेजस्वी अग्नि! तुम महान् दीप्ति से प्रकाशित होकर हम स्तोताओं को स्वर्ग पहुंचाओ. (७)
EN English Translation
O agni of praise! We praise you, who are desirous of the joyful heart and the godly ones. O glorious agni! You, having been illuminated by the great glory, bring us hymns to heaven. (7)
वि॒शां क॒विं वि॒श्पतिं॒ शश्व॑तीनां नि॒तोश॑नं वृष॒भं च॑र्षणी॒नाम् । प्रेती॑षणिमि॒षय॑न्तं पाव॒कं राज॑न्तम॒ग्निं य॑ज॒तं र॑यी॒णाम् ॥ (८)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हम लोग यजमानादि नित्य प्रजाओं के स्वामी, क्रांतदर्शी, शत्रुनाशक, कामना पूर्ण करने वाले, स्तोताओं के गंतव्य, अन्न के निर्माता एवं दीप्तियुक्त अग्नि की स्तुति धन पाने के लिए करते हैं. (८)
EN English Translation
We worship the host, the masters of the eternal people, the revolutionaries, the enemies, the wish-givers, the destinations of the hymns, the maker of food and the radiant agni to gain wealth. (8)
सो अ॑ग्न ईजे शश॒मे च॒ मर्तो॒ यस्त॒ आन॑ट् स॒मिधा॑ ह॒व्यदा॑तिम् । य आहु॑तिं॒ परि॒ वेदा॒ नमो॑भि॒र्विश्वेत्स वा॒मा द॑धते॒ त्वोतः॑ ॥ (९)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे अग्नि! जो यजमान तुम्हारा यज्ञ करता है, तुम्हारी स्तुति करता है, समिधाओं के साथ तुम्हें हव्य देता है, स्तुतियों के साथ तुम्हें आहुति देता है, वह तुम्हारे द्वारा रक्षित होकर सभी संपत्तियां प्राप्त करता है. (९)
EN English Translation
O agni! The host who sacrifices you, praises you, greets you with samidahas, sacrifices you with praises, receives all the possessions protected by you. (9)
अ॒स्मा उ॑ ते॒ महि॑ म॒हे वि॑धेम॒ नमो॑भिरग्ने स॒मिधो॒त ह॒व्यैः । वेदी॑ सूनो सहसो गी॒र्भिरु॒क्थैरा ते॑ भ॒द्रायां॑ सुम॒तौ य॑तेम ॥ (१०)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे महान् अग्नि! हम स्तुतियों, समिधाओं एवं हव्य द्वारा तुम्हारी बहुत सेवा करते हैं. हे बलपुत्र अग्नि! हम स्तोत्रों एवं स्तुतिवचनों द्वारा वेदी पर तुम्हारी सेवा करते हैं तथा तुम्हारा कल्याणकारी अनुग्रह पाने का प्रयत्न करते हैं. (१०)
EN English Translation
O great agni! We serve you a lot through praises, committees and goodwill. O son of strength, agni! We serve you on the altar through hymns and hymns of praise and seek your welfare grace. (10)
आ यस्त॒तन्थ॒ रोद॑सी॒ वि भा॒सा श्रवो॑भिश्च श्रव॒स्य१॒॑स्तरु॑त्रः । बृ॒हद्भि॒र्वाजैः॒ स्थवि॑रेभिर॒स्मे रे॒वद्भि॑रग्ने वित॒रं वि भा॑हि ॥ (११)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे अग्नि! तुमने अपनी दीप्ति से धरती-आकाश को प्रकाशित किया है. तुम स्तुतियां सुनकर रक्षा करते हो. तुम महान् अन्नों एवं प्रचुर धनों के साथ हमारे समीप प्रज्वलित बनो. (११)
EN English Translation
O agni! You have illuminated the earth and the sky with your brightness. You protect by listening to praises. May you ignite near us with great grains and abundant riches. (11)
नृ॒वद्व॑सो॒ सद॒मिद्धे॑ह्य॒स्मे भूरि॑ तो॒काय॒ तन॑याय प॒श्वः । पू॒र्वीरिषो॑ बृह॒तीरा॒रेअ॑घा अ॒स्मे भ॒द्रा सौ॑श्रव॒सानि॑ सन्तु ॥ (१२)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे धनस्वामी अग्नि! हमें सेवकों सहित धन एवं हमारे पुत्र-पौत्रों को पशु दो. हमें कामपूरक व पापरहित पर्याप्त अन्न एवं कल्याणकारी सौभाग्य दो. (१२)
EN English Translation
O rich godly agni! Give us wealth, including servants, and animals to our sons and grandsons. Give us enough food and welfare good fortune, full and sinless. (12)
पु॒रूण्य॑ग्ने पुरु॒धा त्वा॒या वसू॑नि राजन्व॒सुता॑ ते अश्याम् । पु॒रूणि॒ हि त्वे पु॑रुवार॒ सन्त्यग्ने॒ वसु॑ विध॒ते राज॑नि॒ त्वे ॥ (१३)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे धनयुक्त एवं तेजस्वी अग्नि! हम तुमसे अनेक प्रकार की संपत्ति प्राप्त करें. हे सर्वप्रिय अग्नि! हम तुमसे बहुत से धन पावें. (१३)
EN English Translation
O rich and glorious agni! We get many types of property from you. O beloved agni! We get a lot of money from you. (13)
