त्वम॑ग्ने य॒ज्ञानां॒ होता॒ विश्वे॑षां हि॒तः । दे॒वेभि॒र्मानु॑षे॒ जने॑ ॥ (१)

हे अग्नि! तुम समस्त यज्ञों को पूर्ण करने वाले हो. देवों ने मानवी प्रजाओं में तुम्हें होता बनाया है. (१)
EN English Translation
O agni! You are going to complete all the yajnas. The gods have created you among the human beings. (1)
स नो॑ म॒न्द्राभि॑रध्व॒रे जि॒ह्वाभि॑र्यजा म॒हः । आ दे॒वान्व॑क्षि॒ यक्षि॑ च ॥ (२)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे अग्नि! तुम प्रसन्नता देने वाली ज्वालाओं द्वारा हमारे यज्ञ में देवों का यजन करो. तुम देवों को यहां लाओ एवं उन्हें हव्य दो. (२)
EN English Translation
O agni! You worship the gods in our yajna through the flames of pleasure. Bring the gods here and give them a havya. (2)
वेत्था॒ हि वे॑धो॒ अध्व॑नः प॒थश्च॑ दे॒वाञ्ज॑सा । अग्ने॑ य॒ज्ञेषु॑ सुक्रतो ॥ (३)

हे यज्ञविधाता एवं शोभनयज्ञकर्मयुक्त अग्नि! तुम यज्ञ में देवों के छोटे एवं बड़े मार्गों को शीघ्रता से जानते हो. (३)
EN English Translation
O agni with yajnavidhata and shobhanayagyakarma! You know quickly the small and big ways of the gods in the yagna. (3)
त्वामी॑ळे॒ अध॑ द्वि॒ता भ॑र॒तो वा॒जिभिः॑ शु॒नम् । ई॒जे य॒ज्ञेषु॑ य॒ज्ञिय॑म् ॥ (४)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे अग्नि! भरत ने सुख पाने के लिए ऋत्विजों के साथ मिलकर तुम्हारी स्तुति की थी एवं तुझ यज्ञयोग्य अग्नि का हव्यान्नों द्वारा यजन किया था. (४)
EN English Translation
O agni! Bharata had praised you together with the ritvijas to get happiness and had made you use the sacrificial agni through the havanas. (4)
त्वमि॒मा वार्या॑ पु॒रु दिवो॑दासाय सुन्व॒ते । भ॒रद्वा॑जाय दा॒शुषे॑ ॥ (५)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे अग्नि! तुमने सोमरस निचोड़ने वाले दिवोदास को जिस प्रकार उत्तम धन अधिक मात्रा में दिए थे, उसी प्रकार हव्य देने वाले मुझ भरद्वाज को दो. (५)
EN English Translation
O agni! Just as you gave more money to Divodas, who squeezed the Somras, give more money to me, so give it to me, who gives the haavya. (5)
त्वं दू॒तो अम॑र्त्य॒ आ व॑हा॒ दैव्यं॒ जन॑म् । शृ॒ण्वन्विप्र॑स्य सुष्टु॒तिम् ॥ (६)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे मरणरहित एवं देवदूत अग्नि! तुम मेधावी भरद्वाज की शोभन स्तुति को सुनते हुए इस यज्ञ में देवों को लाओ. (६)
EN English Translation
Oh, without death and agni, the angel! You bring the gods to this yagna while listening to the praises of the meritorious Bharadwaj. (6)
त्वाम॑ग्ने स्वा॒ध्यो॒३॒॑ मर्ता॑सो दे॒ववी॑तये । य॒ज्ञेषु॑ दे॒वमी॑ळते ॥ (७)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे अग्नि देव! शोभन चिंतन वाले मनुष्य देवों को प्रसन्न करने के हेतु यज्ञों में तुम्हारी स्तुति करते हैं. (७)
EN English Translation
O God of agni! People with good thought praises for you in the yagnas to please the gods. (7)
तव॒ प्र य॑क्षि सं॒दृश॑मु॒त क्रतुं॑ सु॒दान॑वः । विश्वे॑ जुषन्त का॒मिनः॑ ॥ (८)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे अग्नि! हम सब दानशील यजमान तुम्हारे दर्शनीय तेज की पूजा तथा सेवा करते हैं. (८)
EN English Translation
O agni! We all worship and serve your glorious glory. (8)
त्वं होता॒ मनु॑र्हितो॒ वह्नि॑रा॒सा वि॒दुष्ट॑रः । अग्ने॒ यक्षि॑ दि॒वो विशः॑ ॥ (९)

हे ज्वालाओं द्वारा हव्य वहन करने वाले एवं उत्तम विद्वान् अग्नि! मनु ने तुम्हें यज्ञ का होता नियुक्त किया है. तुम देवों का यजन करो. (९)
EN English Translation
O agni that is borne by flames and the best scholarly agni! Manu has appointed you to be a yagna. You worship the gods. (9)
अग्न॒ आ या॑हि वी॒तये॑ गृणा॒नो ह॒व्यदा॑तये । नि होता॑ सत्सि ब॒र्हिषि॑ ॥ (१०)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे अग्नि! देवों को हव्य देने के लिए तुम्हारी स्तुति की जा रही है. तुम हव्य भक्षण के लिए आओ एवं बिछे हुए कुशों पर बैठो. (१०)
EN English Translation
O agni! You are being praised for giving a greeting to the gods. You come to eat the havya and sit on the bedding. (10)
तं त्वा॑ स॒मिद्भि॑रङ्गिरो घृ॒तेन॑ वर्धयामसि । बृ॒हच्छो॑चा यविष्ठ्य ॥ (११)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे अगांररूप अग्नि! हम समिधाओं एवं घृत द्वारा तुम्हें बढ़ाते हैं. हे अतिशय युवा अग्नि! तुम अधिक दीप्त बनो. (११)
EN English Translation
Oh, the agni! We increase you by the committees and the abrasives. O very young agni! You become more luminous. (11)
स नः॑ पृ॒थु श्र॒वाय्य॒मच्छा॑ देव विवाससि । बृ॒हद॑ग्ने सु॒वीर्य॑म् ॥ (१२)

हे अग्नि देव! तुम हमें विस्तीर्ण प्रशंसनीय महान् शोभन व शक्ति से युक्त धन दो. (१२)
EN English Translation
O God of agni! You give us wealth with vast admirable great splendor and power. (12)
त्वाम॑ग्ने॒ पुष्क॑रा॒दध्यथ॑र्वा॒ निर॑मन्थत । मू॒र्ध्नो विश्व॑स्य वा॒घतः॑ ॥ (१३)

हे अग्नि! शीश के समान सारे जगत् को धारण करने वाले कमल पत्र पर अथर्वा ऋषि ने तुम्हारा मंथन किया था. (१३)
EN English Translation
O agni! The sage Atharva had churned you on the lotus letter that holds the whole world like shisha. (13)
तमु॑ त्वा द॒ध्यङ्ङृषिः॑ पु॒त्र ई॑धे॒ अथ॑र्वणः । वृ॒त्र॒हणं॑ पुरंद॒रम् ॥ (१४)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे शन्रुहंता एवं असुर-नगरनाशक अग्नि! अथर्वा ऋषि के पुत्र दध्यङ् ने तुम्हें प्रज्वलित किया था. (१४)
EN English Translation
O Shanruhanta and asura-city-destroying agni! The son of sage Atharva, Dadyang, ignited you. (14)
तमु॑ त्वा पा॒थ्यो वृषा॒ समी॑धे दस्यु॒हन्त॑मम् । ध॒नं॒ज॒यं रणे॑रणे ॥ (१५)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे शत्रुहंता एवं प्रत्येक युद्ध में धन जीतने वाले अग्नि! पाथ्यवृषा नामक ऋषि ने तुम्हें भली प्रकार प्रज्वलित किया था. (१५)
EN English Translation
O enemy and agni that wins wealth in every war! The sage named Pathyavrisha had ignited you well. (15)
एह्यू॒ षु ब्रवा॑णि॒ तेऽग्न॑ इ॒त्थेत॑रा॒ गिरः॑ । ए॒भिर्व॑र्धास॒ इन्दु॑भिः ॥ (१६)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे अग्नि! यहां आओ. हम तुम्हारे निमित्त उत्तम स्तुतियां बोलते हैं, उन्हें एवं इसी प्रकार की अन्य बातों को सुनो. तुम इस सोमरस द्वारा बढ़ो. (१६)
EN English Translation
O agni! Come here. We speak good praises for you, listen to them and other similar things. You grow by this somras. (16)
यत्र॒ क्व॑ च ते॒ मनो॒ दक्षं॑ दधस॒ उत्त॑रम् । तत्रा॒ सदः॑ कृणवसे ॥ (१७)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे अग्नि! जिस किसी यजमान के प्रति तुम्हारा मन अनुग्रहपूर्ण है, उसे तुम शक्तिदायक उत्तम अन्न देते हो एवं वहीं निवास करते हो. (१७)
EN English Translation
O agni! To any host to whom your heart is gracious, you give him the best food of strength and dwell there. (17)
न॒हि ते॑ पू॒र्तम॑क्षि॒पद्भुव॑न्नेमानां वसो । अथा॒ दुवो॑ वनवसे ॥ (१८)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे अग्नि! तुम्हारा तेज हमारी दृष्टि को नष्ट करने वाला न हो. तुम थोड़े यजमानों को ही गृह देते हो. तुम हमारी सेवा स्वीकार करो. (१८)
EN English Translation
O agni! Let your speed not be the destroyer of our vision. You only give houses to a few hosts. You accept our service. (18)
आग्निर॑गामि॒ भार॑तो वृत्र॒हा पु॑रु॒चेत॑नः । दिवो॑दासस्य॒ सत्प॑तिः ॥ (१९)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हम हव्य के स्वामी, दिवोदास राजा के शत्रुओं का नाश करने वाले अधिक ज्ञान वाले एवं यजमानों के पालक अग्नि से स्तुतियों के सहित मिलते हैं. (१९)
EN English Translation
We meet the masters of Havya, the destroyers of the enemies of the King Of Divodas, with praises from the agni, the guardian of the hosts. (19)
स हि विश्वाति॒ पार्थि॑वा र॒यिं दाश॑न्महित्व॒ना । व॒न्वन्नवा॑तो॒ अस्तृ॑तः ॥ (२०)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
काष्ठों को जलाने वाले, शत्रुओं के आक्रमण से रहित एवं अपराजित अग्नि अपनी महिमा से सभी सांसारिक संपत्तियां हमें दें. (२०)
EN English Translation
Give us all worldly possessions by its glory, the agni that burns woods, devoid of the attack of enemies and the undefeated agni. (20)
स प्र॑त्न॒वन्नवी॑य॒साग्ने॑ द्यु॒म्नेन॑ सं॒यता॑ । बृ॒हत्त॑तन्थ भा॒नुना॑ ॥ (२१)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे अग्नि! तुम प्राचीन के समान ही नवीन तेज से युक्त होकर अपनी किरणों द्वारा आकाश का विस्तार करते हो. (२१)
EN English Translation
O agni! You expand the sky by your rays with the same new brightness as the ancient. (21)
प्र वः॑ सखायो अ॒ग्नये॒ स्तोमं॑ य॒ज्ञं च॑ धृष्णु॒या । अर्च॒ गाय॑ च वे॒धसे॑ ॥ (२२)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे मित्र ऋत्विजो! तुम यज्ञविधाता एवं शत्रुविनाशक अग्नि के प्रति यह स्तोत्र गाओ तथा हव्य दो. (२२)
EN English Translation
Oh my friend, Ritvizo! You sing this hymn to the sacrificialism and the enemy-destroying agni and give the havya. (22)
स हि यो मानु॑षा यु॒गा सीद॒द्धोता॑ क॒विक्र॑तुः । दू॒तश्च॑ हव्य॒वाह॑नः ॥ (२३)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
देवों को बुलाने वाले, परम मेधावी, मानवों के यज्ञों के समय देवदूत एवं हव्य वहन करने वाले अग्नि हमारे यज्ञ में बिछाये हुए कुशों पर बैठे. (२३)
EN English Translation
The agnis that call the gods, the supremely meritorious, the angels and the ones who carry the havan at the time of the yagnas of human beings, sat on the kushas laid out in our yajna. (23)
ता राजा॑ना॒ शुचि॑व्रतादि॒त्यान्मारु॑तं ग॒णम् । वसो॒ यक्षी॒ह रोद॑सी ॥ (२४)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे निवास स्थान देने वाले अग्नि! तुम इस यज्ञ में दीप्तिसंपन्न एवं पवित्रकर्मा मित्र, वरुण, आदित्य मरुद्गण तथा धरती-आकाश का यजन करो. (२४)
EN English Translation
O agni that gives the abode! You may worship the bright and holy one in this yajna, the friend of Varuna, Aditya Marudgana and the earth and the sky. (24)
वस्वी॑ ते अग्ने॒ संदृ॑ष्टिरिषय॒ते मर्त्या॑य । ऊर्जो॑ नपाद॒मृत॑स्य ॥ (२५)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे बलपुत्र एवं मरणरहित अग्नि! तुम्हारा प्रशंसायोग्य तेज यजमान को अन्न देता है. (२५)
EN English Translation
O son of strength and a agni without death! Your praiseworthy fast gives food to the host. (25)
क्रत्वा॒ दा अ॑स्तु॒ श्रेष्ठो॒ऽद्य त्वा॑ व॒न्वन्सु॒रेक्णाः॑ । मर्त॑ आनाश सुवृ॒क्तिम् ॥ (२६)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे अग्नि! यज्ञकर्म द्वारा तुम्हारी सेवा करने वाला यजमान श्रेष्ठ एवं शोभन धन वाला हो तथा सदा तुम्हारी स्तुति करता रहे. (२६)
EN English Translation
O agni! May the host who serves you through yajnakarma be the best and the one with riches and may he praise you forever. (26)
ते ते॑ अग्ने॒ त्वोता॑ इ॒षय॑न्तो॒ विश्व॒मायुः॑ । तर॑न्तो अ॒र्यो अरा॑तीर्व॒न्वन्तो॑ अ॒र्यो अरा॑तीः ॥ (२७)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे अग्नि! तुम्हारे स्तोता तुम्हारे द्वारा रक्षित होकर एवं अन्न की इच्छा करते हुए समस्त अन्नों को प्राप्त करें, आक्रमणकारी शत्रुओं को हरावें एवं उन्हें मार डालें. (२७)
EN English Translation
O agni! May your stos receive all the grain, protected by you and desiring food, defeating the invading enemies and killing them. (27)
अ॒ग्निस्ति॒ग्मेन॑ शो॒चिषा॒ यास॒द्विश्वं॒ न्य१॒॑त्रिण॑म् । अ॒ग्निर्नो॑ वनते र॒यिम् ॥ (२८)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
अग्नि अपने तीखे तेज द्वारा समस्त राक्षसों का विनाश करें एवं हमें धन दें. (२८)
EN English Translation
May agni destroy all the demons with its sharp sharpness and give us wealth. (28)
सु॒वीरं॑ र॒यिमा भ॑र॒ जात॑वेदो॒ विच॑र्षणे । ज॒हि रक्षां॑सि सुक्रतो ॥ (२९)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे जातवेद एवं विशेषद्रष्टा अग्नि! तुम इसे शोभन पुत्रादि से युक्त धन दो. हे शोभन कर्म वाले! राक्षसों का नाश करो. (२९)
EN English Translation
O Jataveda and Vishadar Agni! You give it money containing shobhan putradi. O you who are good deeds! Destroy the monsters. (29)
त्वं नः॑ पा॒ह्यंह॑सो॒ जात॑वेदो अघाय॒तः । रक्षा॑ णो ब्रह्मणस्कवे ॥ (३०)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे जातवेद अग्नि! तुम पाप से हमारी रक्षा करो. हे मंत्रों के रचयिता अग्नि! अहित चाहने वालों से हमारी रक्षा करो. (३०)
EN English Translation
O Jativeda Agni! You protect us from sin. O agni, the creator of mantras! Protect us from those who want to be offended. (30)
