भूय॒ इद्वा॑वृधे वी॒र्या॑य॒ँ एको॑ अजु॒र्यो द॑यते॒ वसू॑नि । प्र रि॑रिचे दि॒व इन्द्रः॑ पृथि॒व्या अ॒र्धमिद॑स्य॒ प्रति॒ रोद॑सी उ॒भे ॥ (१)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
इंद्र वीरतापूर्ण-कार्य करने के लिए बार-बार बढ़े हैं. प्रमुख एवं जरारहित इंद्र स्तोताओं को धन देते हैं एवं धरती-आकाश से भी बढ़कर हैं. इनका आधा भाग ही धरती-आकाश के बराबर है. (१)
EN English Translation
Indra has risen repeatedly to do heroic work. The major and slightly less Indra gives wealth to the stomatas and is more than the earth and the sky. Only half of them is equal to the earth and the sky. (1)
अधा॑ मन्ये बृ॒हद॑सु॒र्य॑मस्य॒ यानि॑ दा॒धार॒ नकि॒रा मि॑नाति । दि॒वेदि॑वे॒ सूर्यो॑ दर्श॒तो भू॒द्वि सद्मा॑न्युर्वि॒या सु॒क्रतु॑र्धात् ॥ (२)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हम इंद्र के उस बल की स्तुति करते हैं, जो असुरों को मारने में कुशल है. इंद्र जिन कामों को धारण करते हैं, कोई भी उन्हें नष्ट नहीं कर सकता. इंद्र प्रतिदिन गोलाकार सूर्य को देखने योग्य बनाते हैं. शोभन-कर्म वाले इंद्र ने सारे संसार को विस्तृत किया है. (२)
EN English Translation
We praise the force of Indra, who is skilled in killing the asuras. No one can destroy the works that Indra possesses. Indra makes the sun visible every day. Indra, who has a shobhan-karma, has expanded the whole world. (2)
अ॒द्या चि॒न्नू चि॒त्तदपो॑ न॒दीनां॒ यदा॑भ्यो॒ अर॑दो गा॒तुमि॑न्द्र । नि पर्व॑ता अद्म॒सदो॒ न से॑दु॒स्त्वया॑ दृ॒ळ्हानि॑ सुक्रतो॒ रजां॑सि ॥ (३)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे इंद्र! पहले के समान आज भी तुम्हारा नदियों से संबंधित जलरूपी कर्म विद्यमान है. तुमने इनके बहने के लिए मार्ग बनाया था. खाना खाने के लिए बैठे मनुष्यों के समान पर्वत तुम्हारी आज्ञा से बैठ गए थे. हे शोभन कर्म वाले इंद्र! तुमने लोकों को दृढ़ बनाया है. (३)
EN English Translation
O Indra! As before, even today your water-like work related to rivers exists. You made way for them to flow. The mountains sat down by your command like men sitting to eat. O Indra with shobhan karma! You have made the people firm. (3)
स॒त्यमित्तन्न त्वावा॑ँ अ॒न्यो अ॒स्तीन्द्र॑ दे॒वो न मर्त्यो॒ ज्याया॑न् । अह॒न्नहिं॑ परि॒शया॑न॒मर्णोऽवा॑सृजो अ॒पो अच्छा॑ समु॒द्रम् ॥ (४)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे इंद्र! यह बात सत्य है कि तुम्हारे समान दूसरा नहीं है. कोई भी मनुष्य या देव तुमसे बड़ा नहीं है. तुमने जल को रोककर सोए हुए मेघ को मारा एवं जल को समुद्र में बहने के लिए स्वतंत्र बनाया. (४)
EN English Translation
O Indra! It's true that there is no other like you. No man or god is greater than you. You stopped the water and hit the sleeping cloud and made the water free to flow into the sea. (4)
त्वम॒पो वि दुरो॒ विषू॑ची॒रिन्द्र॑ दृ॒ळ्हम॑रुजः॒ पर्व॑तस्य । राजा॑भवो॒ जग॑तश्चर्षणी॒नां सा॒कं सूर्यं॑ ज॒नय॒न्द्यामु॒षास॑म् ॥ (५)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे इंद्र! तुमने वृत्र असुर द्वारा रोके हुए जल को बहने के लिए स्वच्छंद बनाया एवं मेघ के दृढ़ जलावरोध को नष्ट किया था. तुम सूर्य, उषा एवं स्वर्ग को एक साथ ही प्रकाशित करते हुए प्रजाओं के राजा बने. (५)
EN English Translation
O Indra! You made the water held by the Vrithra Asura free to flow and destroyed the fortified water resistance of the cloud. You became the king of the people, illuminating the sun, usha and heaven together. (5)
