स॒त्रा मदा॑स॒स्तव॑ वि॒श्वज॑न्याः स॒त्रा रायोऽध॒ ये पार्थि॑वासः । स॒त्रा वाजा॑नामभवो विभ॒क्ता यद्दे॒वेषु॑ धा॒रय॑था असु॒र्य॑म् ॥ (१)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे इंद्र! यह बात सत्य है कि तुम्हारी सोमपान से उत्पन्न प्रसन्नता सबको हितकारक होती है. तीनों लोकों में स्थित तुम्हारी संपत्तियां भी लोगों का हित करती हैं. तुम निस्संदेह अन्न देने वाले एवं देवों में बल धारण करने वाले हो. (१)
EN English Translation
O Indra! It is true that the happiness created by your sompan is beneficial to all. Your properties located in the three lokas also benefit the people. You are surely the givers of food and the ones who are going to have strength among the gods. (1)
अनु॒ प्र ये॑जे॒ जन॒ ओजो॑ अस्य स॒त्रा द॑धिरे॒ अनु॑ वी॒र्या॑य । स्यू॒म॒गृभे॒ दुध॒येऽर्व॑ते च॒ क्रतुं॑ वृञ्ज॒न्त्यपि॑ वृत्र॒हत्ये॑ ॥ (२)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
यजमान इंद्र के बल की सदा विशेष प्रकार से पूजा करता है. यह सत्य है कि वीरता का काम करने के लिए इंद्र को आगे रखता है. शत्रुओं की घनी पंक्ति के रोकने वाले, हिंसक एवं उन पर आक्रमण करने वाले इंद्र वृत्र राक्षस को मारने के लिए जाते हैं. (२)
EN English Translation
The host always worships indra's force in a special way. It is true that it puts Indra ahead to do the work of heroism. Indra Vritra, who stops, violents and attacks them in a dense row of enemies, goes to kill the demon. (2)
तं स॒ध्रीची॑रू॒तयो॒ वृष्ण्या॑नि॒ पौंस्या॑नि नि॒युतः॑ सश्चु॒रिन्द्र॑म् । स॒मु॒द्रं न सिन्ध॑व उ॒क्थशु॑ष्मा उरु॒व्यच॑सं॒ गिर॒ आ वि॑शन्ति ॥ (३)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
परस्पर संगत मरुद्गण एवं वीर्यबल से युक्त तथा रथ में जुते हुए अश्व इंद्र की सेवा करते हैं. नदियां जिस प्रकार समुद्र से मिलती हैं, उसी प्रकार मंत्र-प्रधान स्तुतियां सर्वत्र व्यापक इंद्र से मिलती हैं. (३)
EN English Translation
Horses with mutually compatible deserts and semen power and with a yoke in the chariot serve Indra. Just as rivers meet the sea, so the mantra-oriented hymns meet the widespread Indra everywhere. (3)
स रा॒यस्खामुप॑ सृजा गृणा॒नः पु॑रुश्च॒न्द्रस्य॒ त्वमि॑न्द्र॒ वस्वः॑ । पति॑र्बभू॒थास॑मो॒ जना॑ना॒मेको॒ विश्व॑स्य॒ भुव॑नस्य॒ राजा॑ ॥ (४)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे इंद्र! तुम स्तुतियां सुनकर धन की सरिता बहा दो. धन बहुतों को प्रसन्नता एवं निवासस्थान देने वाला है. तुम मनुष्यों के अद्वितीय स्वामी एवं सारे संसार के राजा हो. (४)
EN English Translation
O Indra! You hear the praises and shed the flow of wealth. Money is going to give happiness and abode to many. You are the unique master of man and the king of all the worlds. (4)
स तु श्रु॑धि॒ श्रुत्या॒ यो दु॑वो॒युर्द्यौर्न भूमा॒भि रायो॑ अ॒र्यः । असो॒ यथा॑ नः॒ शव॑सा चका॒नो यु॒गेयु॑गे॒ वय॑सा॒ चेकि॑तानः ॥ (५)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे इंद्र! सुनने योग्य स्तोत्रों को जल्दी सुनो एवं हमारी सेवा की कामना करते हुए सूर्य के समान शत्रुओं का धन जीतो. तुम समय-समय पर बल से स्तुति के विषय और इव्यान्न द्वारा भली-भांति ज्ञात होकर पहले के समान हमारे पास रहो. (५)
EN English Translation
O Indra! Listen quickly to the hearable hymns and win the wealth of enemies like the sun, wishing for our service. From time to time, be well aware of the subject of praise by force and by Ivan, and be with Us as before. (5)
