स्तु॒षे जनं॑ सुव्र॒तं नव्य॑सीभिर्गी॒र्भिर्मि॒त्रावरु॑णा सुम्न॒यन्ता॑ । त आ ग॑मन्तु॒ त इ॒ह श्रु॑वन्तु सुक्ष॒त्रासो॒ वरु॑णो मि॒त्रो अ॒ग्निः ॥ (१)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
मैं नई स्तुतियों द्वारा शोभन-कर्म वाले देवों की प्रशंसा करता हूं. मैं स्तोताओं के सुख की अभिलाषा करने वाले मित्र व वरुण की स्तुति करता हूं. शोभनबलसंपन्न मित्र, वरुण एवं अग्नि यहां आवें और मेरी स्तुतियां सुनें. (१)
EN English Translation
I admire the gods of adornment through new hymns. I admire varuna, a friend who longed for the happiness of the psalms. May the brave friends, Varun and Agni come here and listen to my praises. (1)
वि॒शोवि॑श॒ ईड्य॑मध्व॒रेष्वदृ॑प्तक्रतुमर॒तिं यु॑व॒त्योः । दि॒वः शिशुं॒ सह॑सः सू॒नुम॒ग्निं य॒ज्ञस्य॑ के॒तुम॑रु॒षं यज॑ध्यै ॥ (२)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
मैं समस्त प्रजाओं के यज्ञां में स्तुति के योग्य, दर्परहित कर्म वाले, स्वर्ग एवं धरती के स्वामी, स्वर्ग एवं शक्ति के पुत्र व यज्ञ के केतु अग्नि का यज्ञ करने के लिए यजमान की प्रेरणा देता हूं. (२)
EN English Translation
I inspire the host to perform the yajna of agni, worthy of praise, without deeds, the lord of heaven and earth, the son of heaven and power, and the ketu of yajna agni in the yagnas of all the people. (2)
अ॒रु॒षस्य॑ दुहि॒तरा॒ विरू॑पे॒ स्तृभि॑र॒न्या पि॑पि॒शे सूरो॑ अ॒न्या । मि॒थ॒स्तुरा॑ वि॒चर॑न्ती पाव॒के मन्म॑ श्रु॒तं न॑क्षत ऋ॒च्यमा॑ने ॥ (३)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
चमकते हुए सूर्य की रात-दिनरूपी दो विपरीत रूपवाली कन्याएं हैं. उन में एक तारों से सुशोभित है और दूसरी सूर्य से. एक दूसरी का विरोध करके घूमती हुई एवं पवित्र करने वाली रात-दिन की जोड़ी हमारी स्तुतियां सुनकर प्रसन्न हों. (३)
EN English Translation
There are two opposite girls of the sun night and day. One of them is beautified by stars and the other from the sun. May the night-day pair of people, who oppose each other, be happy to hear our praises. (3)
प्र वा॒युमच्छा॑ बृह॒ती म॑नी॒षा बृ॒हद्र॑यिं वि॒श्ववा॑रं रथ॒प्राम् । द्यु॒तद्या॑मा नि॒युतः॒ पत्य॑मानः क॒विः क॒विमि॑यक्षसि प्रयज्यो ॥ (४)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हमारी महान् स्तुति महान् धन के स्वामी, सबके आदरणीय एवं अपने रथ को पूर्ण करने वाले वायु के सामने उपस्थित हो. हे अतिशय यज्ञपात्र, दीप्तिसंपन्न रथ वाले, रथ में जुते हुए घोड़ों को वश में रखने वाले एवं दूरदर्शी वायु! तुम मेधावी स्तोता की धन से पूजा करो. (४)
EN English Translation
May our great praise be present before the wind that honors all, honored and completes your chariot. O the most sacrificial priests, the bright chariots, those who tame the horses that are woven in the chariot and the visionary wind! You worship the meritorious hymn with wealth. (4)
स मे॒ वपु॑श्छदयद॒श्विनो॒र्यो रथो॑ वि॒रुक्मा॒न्मन॑सा युजा॒नः । येन॑ नरा नासत्येष॒यध्यै॑ व॒र्तिर्या॒थस्तन॑याय॒ त्मने॑ च ॥ (५)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
अश्चिनीकुमारों का वह रथ मेरे शरीर को अपने तेज से ढक ले, जो विशेष तेजस्वी है एवं सोचने मात्र से जिस में घोड़े जुड़ जाते हैं. हे नेता अश्विनीकुमारो! उसी रथ के द्वारा तुम स्तोता एवं उसके पुत्र-पौत्रों की अभिलाषा पूर्ण करने जाओ. (५)
EN English Translation
Let that chariot of the Ashchinikumaras cover my body with its own brightness, which is specially bright and by thinking only to which the horses are added. O leader Ashwinikumaro! By that chariot you go to fulfill the desire of the psalm and his sons and grandsons. (5)
पर्ज॑न्यवाता वृषभा पृथि॒व्याः पुरी॑षाणि जिन्वत॒मप्या॑नि । सत्य॑श्रुतः कवयो॒ यस्य॑ गी॒र्भिर्जग॑तः स्थात॒र्जग॒दा कृ॑णुध्वम् ॥ (६)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे वर्षाकारक पर्जन्य एवं वायु! आकाश से प्राप्त करने योग्य एवं पूरक जल बरसाओ. हे स्तोत्र सुनने वाले एवं मेधावी मरुतो! तुम जिसके स्तोत्र सुनकर प्रसन्न बनो, उसको धनसंपन्न करना. (६)
EN English Translation
O rainfeder and air! Rain water from the sky which is obtainable and complementary. Listen to this hymn and the bright Maruto! You must prosper to him whose hymns you are pleased to hear. (6)
पावी॑रवी क॒न्या॑ चि॒त्रायुः॒ सर॑स्वती वी॒रप॑त्नी॒ धियं॑ धात् । ग्नाभि॒रच्छि॑द्रं शर॒णं स॒जोषा॑ दुरा॒धर्षं॑ गृण॒ते शर्म॑ यंसत् ॥ (७)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
पवित्र बनाने वाली, विचित्र रूपवाली, विचित्र गतिवाली एवं वीर-पत्नी सरस्वती हमारे यज्ञरूप कर्म को पूरा करे. वह देवपत्नियों के साथ प्रसन्न होकर स्तोता को दोषरहित तथा ठंड एवं हवा की गति से रहित घर एवं सुख दे. (७)
EN English Translation
May saraswati, the holy one, the strange-looking, the strange-moving and the heroic wife, complete our yajna-roop karma. He pleased with the devas and wives and give the hymn a house and happiness, free from faultless and without the speed of cold and wind. (7)
प॒थस्प॑थः॒ परि॑पतिं वच॒स्या कामे॑न कृ॒तो अ॒भ्या॑नळ॒र्कम् । स नो॑ रासच्छु॒रुध॑श्च॒न्द्राग्रा॒ धियं॑धियं सीषधाति॒ प्र पू॒षा ॥ (८)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
अभिलषित फल पाकर वश में होने वाला स्तोता सभी मार्गो के स्वामी एवं पूजनीय सूर्य के सामने स्तुतियों सहित उपस्थित हो. पूषा हमें सोने के सींग वाली गाएं दें एवं हमारे सभी कामों को पूरा करें. (८)
EN English Translation
The hymn, which is subdued by the desired fruit, should be present with praises before the lord of all the paths and the revered sun. Let Pusha sing us with a gold horn and complete all our work. (8)
प्र॒थ॒म॒भाजं॑ य॒शसं॑ वयो॒धां सु॑पा॒णिं दे॒वं सु॒गभ॑स्ति॒मृभ्व॑म् । होता॑ यक्षद्यज॒तं प॒स्त्या॑नाम॒ग्निस्त्वष्टा॑रं सु॒हवं॑ वि॒भावा॑ ॥ (९)

देवों को बुलाने वाले एवं दीप्तिसंपन्न अग्नि सबके प्रथम विभागकर्ता, प्रसिद्धि एवं अन्नः धारण करने वाले, सुंदर हाथों वाले, दानशील, शोभन-बाहुओं वाले, भासमान, गृहस्थों द्वारा यजनीय एवं सुखपूर्वक बुलाने योग्य त्वष्टा का यज्ञ करें. (९)
EN English Translation
Perform the yajna of the kind and joyfully called by the devotees of the gods and the haptisampana, the first divider of all, the ones who possess fame and food, those who possess beautiful hands, the daanshil, the adornment, the behosman, the housemates. (9)
भुव॑नस्य पि॒तरं॑ गी॒र्भिरा॒भी रु॒द्रं दिवा॑ व॒र्धया॑ रु॒द्रम॒क्तौ । बृ॒हन्त॑मृ॒ष्वम॒जरं॑ सुषु॒म्नमृध॑ग्घुवेम क॒विने॑षि॒तासः॑ ॥ (१०)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे स्तोता! इन स्तोत्रों द्वारा रात-दिन लोकपालक रुद्र की वृद्धि करो. हम बुद्धिमान् रुद्र द्वारा प्रेरित होकर महान्, दर्शनीय, जरारहित एवं शोभन-सुख वाले रुद्र का हवन समृद्धि के साथ करें. (१०)
EN English Translation
This is the hymn! Increase the Lokpalka Rudra day and night by these hymns. We should be inspired by the wise Rudra and perform the havan of the great, spectacular, unadorned and soothing Rudra with prosperity. (10)
आ यु॑वानः कवयो यज्ञियासो॒ मरु॑तो ग॒न्त गृ॑ण॒तो व॑र॒स्याम् । अ॒चि॒त्रं चि॒द्धि जिन्व॑था वृ॒धन्त॑ इ॒त्था नक्ष॑न्तो नरो अङ्गिर॒स्वत् ॥ (११)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे अतिशय युवा, ज्ञानसंपन्न एवं यज्ञपात्र मरुतो! तुम यजमान की सुंदर स्तुति के समीप आओ. हे नेताओ! तुम इस प्रकार वृद्धि पाकर एवं गतिशील किरणों के समान व्याप्त होकर विलक्षण वृक्षों वाले स्थान को वर्षा द्वारा सींचो. (११)
EN English Translation
O you very young, knowledgeable and sacrificial maruto! You come close to the beautiful praise of the host. Hey leaders! You can so grow and be covered like a moving ray and irrigate the place with extraordinary trees with rain. (11)
प्र वी॒राय॒ प्र त॒वसे॑ तु॒रायाजा॑ यू॒थेव॑ पशु॒रक्षि॒रस्त॑म् । स पि॑स्पृशति त॒न्वि॑ श्रु॒तस्य॒ स्तृभि॒र्न नाकं॑ वच॒नस्य॒ विपः॑ ॥ (१२)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे स्तोता! अतिशय वीर, शक्तिशाली एवं गतिशील मरुतों के लिए इस प्रकार स्तुति करो, जिस प्रकार ग्वाला पशुओं को हांकता है. आकाश में जिस प्रकार तारे होते हैं, उसी प्रकार मरुद्गण बुद्धिमान् स्तोता की सुनने योग्य स्तुतियों को अपने शरीर पर धारण करें (१२)
EN English Translation
This is the hymn! Praise the most heroic, powerful and dynamic maruts in the same way that the gwala moves the animals. Just as there are stars in the sky, so do the deserts hold on to your flesh the hearable praises of the wise hymn (12)
यो रजां॑सि विम॒मे पार्थि॑वानि॒ त्रिश्चि॒द्विष्णु॒र्मन॑वे बाधि॒ताय॑ । तस्य॑ ते॒ शर्म॑न्नुपद॒द्यमा॑ने रा॒या म॑देम त॒न्वा॒३॒॑ तना॑ च ॥ (१३)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे स्तोता! जिन विष्णु ने कष्ट में पड़े मनु के कल्याण के निमित्त तीनों लोकों को तीन चरणों के द्वारा नाप लिया था, वह ही तुम्हारी यज्ञशाला में दिव्यस्थान में निवास करें एवं हम पुत्र-पौत्रों सहित धन से प्रसन्न हों. (१३)
EN English Translation
This is the hymn! The Vishnu who measured the three lokas by three stages for the welfare of the afflicted Manu, may he dwell in the divine place in your yajnashala and may we, along with our sons and grandsons, be pleased with the wealth. (13)
तन्नोऽहि॑र्बु॒ध्न्यो॑ अ॒द्भिर॒र्कैस्तत्पर्व॑त॒स्तत्स॑वि॒ता चनो॑ धात् । तदोष॑धीभिर॒भि रा॑ति॒षाचो॒ भगः॒ पुरं॑धिर्जिन्वतु॒ प्र रा॒ये ॥ (१४)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हमारे स्तुतियां सुनकर प्रातः जागने वाले अग्नि, पर्वत एवं सविता हमें जल के साथ अन्न दें. विश्वेदेव ओषधियों के साथ हमें वही अन्न दें. अधिक बुद्धि वाले भग नामक देव हमें धन की प्रेरणा दें. (१४)
EN English Translation
On hearing our praises, the agni, the mountain and the savita who wake up in the morning, give us food with water. Give us the same food with vishvadev medicines. May the god named Bhaga with more wisdom inspire us of wealth. (14)
नु नो॑ र॒यिं र॒थ्यं॑ चर्षणि॒प्रां पु॑रु॒वीरं॑ म॒ह ऋ॒तस्य॑ गो॒पाम् । क्षयं॑ दाता॒जरं॒ येन॒ जना॒न्स्पृधो॒ अदे॑वीर॒भि च॒ क्रमा॑म॒ विश॒ आदे॑वीर॒भ्य१॒॑श्नवा॑म ॥ (१५)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे विश्वेदेव! तुम हमें रथयुक्त अनेक प्रजाओं को पूर्ण करने वाला अनेक पुत्रों सहित क्षयरहित एवं महान् यज्ञ का साधन धन अन्न एवं घर दो. इसके द्वारा हम देवयज्ञ न करने वाले शत्रुओं को पराजित करें एवं देवयज्ञ करने वालों को सहारा दें. (१५)
EN English Translation
O Vishwedev! You give us wealth, food and a house as a means of decayless and great sacrifice, along with many sons who complete many subjects with chariots. Through this, we should defeat the enemies who do not worship and support those who do devyagya. (15)
