पिबा॒ सोम॑मिन्द्र॒ मन्द॑तु त्वा॒ यं ते॑ सु॒षाव॑ हर्य॒श्वाद्रिः॑ । सो॒तुर्बा॒हुभ्यां॒ सुय॑तो॒ नार्वा॑ ॥ (१)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे इंद्र! तुम सोमरस पिओ. सोम तुम्हें प्रसन्न करे. हे हरि नामक घोड़ों के स्वामी! जैसे लगाम द्वारा घोड़ा वश में किया जाता है, उसी प्रकार सोमरस निचोड़ने वाले के दोनों हाथों द्वारा पकड़े गए पत्थरों ने तुम्हारे लिए सोम तैयार किया है. (१)
EN English Translation
O Indra! You drink somras. Mon please you. O lord of horses named Hari! Just as the horse is subdued by the reins, so the stones held by both hands of the somas squeezer have prepared a mon for you. (1)
यस्ते॒ मदो॒ युज्य॒श्चारु॒रस्ति॒ येन॑ वृ॒त्राणि॑ हर्यश्व॒ हंसि॑ । स त्वामि॑न्द्र प्रभूवसो ममत्तु ॥ (२)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे हरि नामक घोड़ों के स्वामी एवं अधिक धन वाले इंद्र! जो सोम तुम्हारे अनुकूल भली प्रकार निचोड़ा गया एवं नशीला है एवं जिसे पीकर तुम राक्षसों को मारते हो, वह सोमरस तुम्हें प्रसन्न बनावे. (२)
EN English Translation
O Lord of horses named Hari and Indra with more wealth! The mon who is well squeezed and intoxicated according to you and the one by which you kill the demons, let the Somras please you. (2)
बोधा॒ सु मे॑ मघव॒न्वाच॒मेमां यां ते॒ वसि॑ष्ठो॒ अर्च॑ति॒ प्रश॑स्तिम् । इ॒मा ब्रह्म॑ सध॒मादे॑ जुषस्व ॥ (३)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे धनस्वामी इंद्र! मैं वसिष्ठ तुम्हारी प्रशंसा के रूप में जो बातें कहता हूं, उन्हें भली प्रकार समझो एवं यज्ञ में उन्हें स्वीकार करो. (३)
EN English Translation
O Dhanaswami Indra! Understand well the things that I say as praises to you and accept them in the yajna. (3)
श्रु॒धी हवं॑ विपिपा॒नस्याद्रे॒र्बोधा॒ विप्र॒स्यार्च॑तो मनी॒षाम् । कृ॒ष्वा दुवां॒स्यन्त॑मा॒ सचे॒मा ॥ (४)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे इंद्र! मुझ सोमपानकर्ता के पत्थर की पुकार सुनो एवं स्तुति करने वाले विद्वान् की स्तुति समझो. तुम मेरे सहायक बनकर मेरी इन सेवाओं को समझो. (४)
EN English Translation
O Indra! Listen to the call of my sompaner's stone and understand the praise of the scholar who praises me. You understand these services of mine by becoming my assistant. (4)
न ते॒ गिरो॒ अपि॑ मृष्ये तु॒रस्य॒ न सु॑ष्टु॒तिम॑सु॒र्य॑स्य वि॒द्वान् । सदा॑ ते॒ नाम॑ स्वयशो विवक्मि ॥ (५)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे शत्रुहिंसक इंद्र! तुम्हारी शक्ति को जानने वाला मैं तुम्हारी स्तुतियों को नहीं त्याग सकता. मैं तुम्हारा असाधारण यशवाला नाम सदा बोलूंगा. (५)
EN English Translation
O enemy, the violent Indra! I, who knows your power, cannot forsake your praises. I will always speak your exceptionally successful name. (5)
भूरि॒ हि ते॒ सव॑ना॒ मानु॑षेषु॒ भूरि॑ मनी॒षी ह॑वते॒ त्वामित् । मारे अ॒स्मन्म॑घव॒ञ्ज्योक्कः॑ ॥ (६)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे इंद्र! मनुष्यों में तुम्हारे बहुत से सवन हैं. स्तोता तुम्हें ही अधिक बुलाता है. चिरकाल तक अपने को हमसे अलग मत रखना. (६)
EN English Translation
O Indra! You have many of your friends among the human beings. The stota calls you more of the same. Don't keep yourself separate from us forever. (6)
तुभ्येदि॒मा सव॑ना शूर॒ विश्वा॒ तुभ्यं॒ ब्रह्मा॑णि॒ वर्ध॑ना कृणोमि । त्वं नृभि॒र्हव्यो॑ वि॒श्वधा॑सि ॥ (७)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे शूर इंद्र! ये सब सवन तुम्हारे हेतु ही हैं. ये उन्नतिकारक स्तोत्र मैं तुम्हारे निमित्त ही बोलता हूं. तुम अनेक प्रकार से मानवों द्वारा बुलाने योग्य हो. (७)
EN English Translation
O Shur Indra! All these things are for you. I speak for you this progressive hymn. You deserve to be called by humans in many ways. (7)
नू चि॒न्नु ते॒ मन्य॑मानस्य द॒स्मोद॑श्नुवन्ति महि॒मान॑मुग्र । न वी॒र्य॑मिन्द्र ते॒ न राधः॑ ॥ (८)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे दर्शनीय इंद्र! तुम्हारी स्तुतियां सुनकर तुम्हारी महिमा कौन नहीं जानेगा? हे उग्र इंद्र! तुम्हारी शक्ति और धन को कौन नहीं समझेगा. (८)
EN English Translation
O seeable Indra! Who will not know your glory when he hears your praises? O furious Indra! Who will not understand your power and wealth? (8)
ये च॒ पूर्व॒ ऋष॑यो॒ ये च॒ नूत्ना॒ इन्द्र॒ ब्रह्मा॑णि ज॒नय॑न्त॒ विप्राः॑ । अ॒स्मे ते॑ सन्तु स॒ख्या शि॒वानि॑ यू॒यं पा॑त स्व॒स्तिभिः॒ सदा॑ नः ॥ (९)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे इंद्र! सभी प्राचीन एवं नवीन ऋषि तुम्हारे लिए स्तोत्र बनाते हैं. तुम्हारी मित्रता हमारे लिए मंगलकारी हो. तुम कल्याणसाधनों द्वारा हमारी सदा रक्षा करो. (९)
EN English Translation
O Indra! All the ancient and new sages make hymns for you. May your friendship be good to us. You always protect us by means of welfare. (9)
