प्र व॒ इन्द्रा॑य॒ माद॑नं॒ हर्य॑श्वाय गायत । सखा॑यः सोम॒पाव्ने॑ ॥ (१)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे मित्रो! तुम हरि नामक अश्चों वाले एवं सोमरस पीने वाले इंद्र को प्रसन्न करने वाली स्तुतियां गाओ. (१)
EN English Translation
Oh, my friends! You sing praises that please Indra, who is named Hari and who drinks somras. (1)
शंसेदु॒क्थं सु॒दान॑व उ॒त द्यु॒क्षं यथा॒ नरः॑ । च॒कृ॒मा स॒त्यरा॑धसे ॥ (२)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे इंद्र! तुम हमें अन्न देने के अभिलाषी बनो. हे शतक्रतु! तुम हमें गाय देने की कामना करो. हे निवासदाता इंद्र! तुम हमें सोना देने की कामना करो. (२)
EN English Translation
O Indra! Be willing to give us food. O century! Wish you to give us the cow. O Lord Indra! Wish you to give us gold. (2)
त्वं न॑ इन्द्र वाज॒युस्त्वं ग॒व्युः श॑तक्रतो । त्वं हि॑रण्य॒युर्व॑सो ॥ (३)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे स्तोता! शोभनदान वाले एवं सत्यधन इंद्र के प्रति जिस प्रकार अन्य स्तोता दीप्तिकारक स्तोत्र बोलते हैं, उसी प्रकार तुम भी बोलो और हम भी बोलेंगे. (३)
EN English Translation
This is the hymn! Just as other hymns speak to The Shobhandan Walas and Satyadhan Indra, so do you and we will also speak. (3)
व॒यमि॑न्द्र त्वा॒यवो॒ऽभि प्र णो॑नुमो वृषन् । वि॒द्धी त्व१॒॑स्य नो॑ वसो ॥ (४)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे अभिलाषापूरक इंद्र! तुम्हारी अभिलाषा करने वाले हम लोग तुम्हारी अधिक स्तुति करते हैं. हे निवासदाता इंद्र! हमारी स्तुति को तुम शीघ्र जानो. (४)
EN English Translation
Oh, this desireful Indra! We who wish you more praise you. O Lord Indra! You will know our praise soon. (4)
मा नो॑ नि॒दे च॒ वक्त॑वे॒ऽर्यो र॑न्धी॒ररा॑व्णे । त्वे अपि॒ क्रतु॒र्मम॑ ॥ (५)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे स्वामी इंद्र! तुम हमें कठोर वचन बोलने वाले, निंदा करने वाले एवं दुष्टों के वश में मत करना. मेरा स्तोत्र तुम्हें प्राप्त हो. (५)
EN English Translation
O King Indra! Don't put us under the control of harsh words, slanderers and evil people. May you receive my hymn. (5)
त्वं वर्मा॑सि स॒प्रथः॑ पुरोयो॒धश्च॑ वृत्रहन् । त्वया॒ प्रति॑ ब्रुवे यु॒जा ॥ (६)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे वृत्रहंता इंद्र! तुम कवच के समान हमारे रक्षक, सब जगह प्रसिद्ध व हमारे आगे युद्ध करने वाले हो. मैं तुम्हारी सहायता से शत्रुओं का नाश करूंगा. (६)
EN English Translation
O Vrithrahanta Indra! You are like armor our protector, famous everywhere and the one who fights ahead of us. I will destroy the enemies with your help. (6)
म॒हाँ उ॒तासि॒ यस्य॒ तेऽनु॑ स्व॒धाव॑री॒ सहः॑ । म॒म्नाते॑ इन्द्र॒ रोद॑सी ॥ (७)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे इंद्र! तुम महान् हो. तुम्हारे बल को अन्नयुक्त द्यावा-पृथिवी स्वीकार करते हैं. (७)
EN English Translation
O Indra! You're great. Your strength is accepted by the food-rich dyava-earthis. (7)
तं त्वा॑ म॒रुत्व॑ती॒ परि॒ भुव॒द्वाणी॑ स॒याव॑री । नक्ष॑माणा स॒ह द्युभिः॑ ॥ (८)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे इंद्र! तुम्हारे साथ चलने वाले तेजों के कारण व्याप्त होती हुई एवं स्तोताओं के वचनों से युक्त स्तुति तुम्हें प्राप्त हो. (८)
EN English Translation
O Indra! May you receive praise that is pervaded by the brightness that goes on with you and containing the words of the psalms. (8)
ऊ॒र्ध्वास॒स्त्वान्विन्द॑वो॒ भुव॑न्द॒स्ममुप॒ द्यवि॑ । सं ते॑ नमन्त कृ॒ष्टयः॑ ॥ (९)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे स्वर्ग के समीप एवं दर्शनीय इंद्र! हमारे सोम तुम्हारे उद्देश्य से पूर्ण हैं एवं प्रजाएं तुम्हें प्रणाम करती हैं. (९)
EN English Translation
O indra near to heaven and beholden! Our mons are complete with your purpose and the people worship you. (9)
प्र वो॑ म॒हे म॑हि॒वृधे॑ भरध्वं॒ प्रचे॑तसे॒ प्र सु॑म॒तिं कृ॑णुध्वम् । विशः॑ पू॒र्वीः प्र च॑रा चर्षणि॒प्राः ॥ (१०)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे महान् धनों को बढ़ाने वाले पुरुषो! तुम महान् इंद्र के उद्देश्य से सोम तैयार करो एवं उत्तम ज्ञान वाले इंद्र के प्रति शोभनस्तुति बोलो. हे प्रजाओं की अभिलाषा पूर्ण करने वाले इंद्र! जो लोग तुम्हें हव्य से पूर्ण करते हैं, तुम उनके सामने जाओ. (१०)
EN English Translation
O men who raise great wealth! Prepare the som for the purpose of the great Indra and speak shobhanstuti towards indra with the best knowledge. O Indra, who fulfills the desires of the people! Those who perfect you with a word, you go before them. (10)
उ॒रु॒व्यच॑से म॒हिने॑ सुवृ॒क्तिमिन्द्रा॑य॒ ब्रह्म॑ जनयन्त॒ विप्राः॑ । तस्य॑ व्र॒तानि॒ न मि॑नन्ति॒ धीराः॑ ॥ (११)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
बुद्धिमान् लोग महान् व्याप्ति वाले एवं महान् इंद्र को लक्ष्य करके स्तुतियों एवं हव्य का निर्माण करते है. धीर पुरुष इंद्रसंबंधी व्रतों को न्ट नहीं करते हैं. (११)
EN English Translation
Wise people create praises and greetings by aiming at the great indra and the great indra. Dhir purushas do not observe indrarshi vratas. (11)
इन्द्रं॒ वाणी॒रनु॑त्तमन्युमे॒व स॒त्रा राजा॑नं दधिरे॒ सह॑ध्यै । हर्य॑श्वाय बर्हया॒ समा॒पीन् ॥ (१२)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे स्तोता! सब प्रकार से विश्व के स्वामी एवं बाधाहीन क्रोध वाले इंद्र की स्तुतियां शत्रुओं को पराजित करने के लिए की जाती हैं. तुम इंद्र की स्तुति के लिए बंधुओं को प्रेरित करो. (१२)
EN English Translation
This is the hymn! In every way, indra, the lord of the world and with unimpeded anger, is praised to defeat the enemies. You inspire the brothers to praise Indra. (12)
