मो षु त्वा॑ वा॒घत॑श्च॒नारे अ॒स्मन्नि री॑रमन् । आ॒रात्ता॑च्चित्सध॒मादं॑ न॒ आ ग॑ही॒ह वा॒ सन्नुप॑ श्रुधि ॥ (१)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे इंद्र! हमसे दूरवर्ती यजमान तुम्हें पाकर प्रसन्न न हों. इसलिए तुम दूर से भी हमारे यज्ञ में आओ एवं हमारी स्तुति सुनो. (१)
EN English Translation
O Indra! Don't let the hosts far away from us be pleased to find you. So come to our yajna from afar and listen to our praise. (1)
इ॒मे हि ते॑ ब्रह्म॒कृतः॑ सु॒ते सचा॒ मधौ॒ न मक्ष॒ आस॑ते । इन्द्रे॒ कामं॑ जरि॒तारो॑ वसू॒यवो॒ रथे॒ न पाद॒मा द॑धुः ॥ (२)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे इंद्र! तुम्हारे निमित्त निचोड़े गए सोमरस के चारों ओर ये स्तोता इस प्रकार बैठते हैं, जैसे शहद पर मधुमक्खियां बैठती हैं. धनकामी स्तोता इंद्र को अपनी स्तुति इस प्रकार समर्पित करते हैं, जिस प्रकार लोग रथ पर पैर रखते हैं. (२)
EN English Translation
O Indra! These hymns sit around the somras squeezed for you like bees sit on honey. Dhankami Stota dedicates his praises to Indra in the same way that people set foot on the chariot. (2)
रा॒यस्का॑मो॒ वज्र॑हस्तं सु॒दक्षि॑णं पु॒त्रो न पि॒तरं॑ हुवे ॥ (३)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
धन का अभिलाषी मैं वज्रधारी एवं शोभनदान वाले इंद्र को इस प्रकार बुलाता हूं, जिस प्रकार पिता को पुत्र बुलाता है. (३)
EN English Translation
I call Indra, a vajradhari and a beacon, the seeker of wealth, in the same way that the father is called the son. (3)
इ॒म इन्द्रा॑य सुन्विरे॒ सोमा॑सो॒ दध्या॑शिरः । ताँ आ मदा॑य वज्रहस्त पी॒तये॒ हरि॑भ्यां या॒ह्योक॒ आ ॥ (४)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
दही मिला हुआ यह सोमरस इंद्र के लिए ही निचोड़ा गया है. हे वज्रहस्त इंद्र! इस सोम को आनंद हेतु पीने के लिए अपने घोड़ों द्वारा यज्ञशाला की ओर आओ. (४)
EN English Translation
This yogurt mixed has been squeezed only for somers Indra. O Lord Indra! Come to the yajnashala with your horses to drink this som for pleasure. (4)
श्रव॒च्छ्रुत्क॑र्ण ईयते॒ वसू॑नां॒ नू चि॑न्नो मर्धिष॒द्गिरः॑ । स॒द्यश्चि॒द्यः स॒हस्रा॑णि श॒ता दद॒न्नकि॒र्दित्स॑न्त॒मा मि॑नत् ॥ (५)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
इंद्र के कान याचना सुनने वाले हैं. उनसे हम धन मांगते हैं. वे इन्हें सुनकर निष्फल न करें. जो इंद्र याचना के बाद ही हजारों एवं सैकड़ों दान देते हैं, उन देने के इच्छुक इंद्र को कोई न रोके (५)
EN English Translation
Indra's ears are going to listen to the supplication. We ask them for money. They don't listen to them and fail. No one should stop Indra who gives thousands and hundreds of donations only after the request(5)
स वी॒रो अप्र॑तिष्कुत॒ इन्द्रे॑ण शूशुवे॒ नृभिः॑ । यस्ते॑ गभी॒रा सव॑नानि वृत्रहन्सु॒नोत्या च॒ धाव॑ति ॥ (६)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे वृत्रहंता इंद्र! जो तुम्हारे लिए गहरा सोम निचोड़ता है एवं तुम्हारे पीछे चलता है, वह वीर है. वह विरोधरहित एवं सेवकों द्वारा सेवित रहता है. (६)
EN English Translation
O Vrithrahanta Indra! He who squeezes the deep mon for you and follows you is brave. He is free of opposition and served by servants. (6)
भवा॒ वरू॑थं मघवन्म॒घोनां॒ यत्स॒मजा॑सि॒ शर्ध॑तः । वि त्वाह॑तस्य॒ वेद॑नं भजेम॒ह्या दू॒णाशो॑ भरा॒ गय॑म् ॥ (७)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे धनस्वामी इंद्र! तुम हव्य देने वालों के उपद्रव रोकने वाले कवच बनो एवं उनके उत्साही शत्रुओं को नष्ट करो. हम तुम्हारे द्वारा विनष्ट शत्रु का धन प्राप्त करें, हमें ऐसा घर दो जो मुश्किल से नष्ट हो सके. (७)
EN English Translation
O Dhanaswami Indra! Be the armor to stop the disturbance of those who give greetings and destroy their ardent enemies. Let us receive the wealth of the enemy you have destroyed, give us a house that can hardly be destroyed. (7)
सु॒नोता॑ सोम॒पाव्ने॒ सोम॒मिन्द्रा॑य व॒ज्रिणे॑ । पच॑ता प॒क्तीरव॑से कृणु॒ध्वमित्पृ॒णन्नित्पृ॑ण॒ते मयः॑ ॥ (८)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे सेवको! तुम सोम पीने वाले एवं वज्रधारी इंद्र के लिए सोम निचोड़ो, इंद्र को तृप्त करने के लिए पुरोडाश पकाओ एवं इद्र के प्रिय कर्त्तव्य कर्म करो. इंद्र यजमान को सुख देते हुए हव्य को पूरा करते हैं. (८)
EN English Translation
O servants! You squeeze the soma for the soo drinker and the vajradhari Indra, cook the purodash to satisfy indra and do the duties of edra's beloved. Indra fulfills the havya by giving happiness to the host. (8)
मा स्रे॑धत सोमिनो॒ दक्ष॑ता म॒हे कृ॑णु॒ध्वं रा॒य आ॒तुजे॑ । त॒रणि॒रिज्ज॑यति॒ क्षेति॒ पुष्य॑ति॒ न दे॒वासः॑ कव॒त्नवे॑ ॥ (९)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे सेवको! तुम सोम वाले यज्ञों को नष्ट मत करो, उत्साही बनो एवं महान् शत्रुनाशक इंद्र से धन पाने के लिए यज्ञकर्म करो. शीघ्र काम करने वाला व्यक्ति जीतता है, घर में निवास करता है एवं पुष्ट होता है. देव बुरा काम करने वाले का साथ नहीं देते. (९)
EN English Translation
O servants! Do not destroy the yagnas of Soma, be enthusiastic and do the yajnakarma to get wealth from the great enemy destroyer Indra. The person who works quickly wins, lives in the house and is confirmed. God does not support those who do bad things. (9)
नकिः॑ सु॒दासो॒ रथं॒ पर्या॑स॒ न री॑रमत् । इन्द्रो॒ यस्या॑वि॒ता यस्य॑ म॒रुतो॒ गम॒त्स गोम॑ति व्र॒जे ॥ (१०)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
शोभनदान वाले का रथ न कोई दूर फेंक सकता है एवं न उसे कोई अपने स्वार्थ के लिए पकड़ सकता है. इंद्र एवं मरुद्गण जिसके रक्षक हैं, वह गायों वाली गोशाला में जाएगा. (१०)
EN English Translation
No one can throw away the chariot of the adornment person, nor can anyone hold it for their own selfish ness. Indra and the deserts, whose protectors are, will go to the cowshed. (10)
गम॒द्वाजं॑ वा॒जय॑न्निन्द्र॒ मर्त्यो॒ यस्य॒ त्वम॑वि॒ता भुवः॑ । अ॒स्माकं॑ बोध्यवि॒ता रथा॑नाम॒स्माकं॑ शूर नृ॒णाम् ॥ (११)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे इंद्र! तुम जिस मनुष्य के रक्षक बनोगे, वह स्तुतियों द्वारा तुम्हें शक्तिशाली बनाता हुआ अन्न प्राप्त करेगा. हे शूर इंद्र! तुम हमारे रथों एवं पुत्रादि के रक्षक बनो. (११)
EN English Translation
O Indra! The man of whom you will become a protector will receive food that makes you powerful by the praises. O Shur Indra! Be the protectors of our chariots and our daughters. (11)
उदिन्न्व॑स्य रिच्य॒तेंऽशो॒ धनं॒ न जि॒ग्युषः॑ । य इन्द्रो॒ हरि॑वा॒न्न द॑भन्ति॒ तं रिपो॒ दक्षं॑ दधाति सो॒मिनि॑ ॥ (१२)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
विजयी व्यक्ति के धन के समान इंद्र का भाग सभी देवों से अधिक है. हरि नामक अश्वो के स्वामी इंद्र जिस यजमान को शक्तिशाली बनाते हैं, उसे शत्रु नहीं मार सकते. (१२)
EN English Translation
Indra's share, like the wealth of the victorious man, is greater than that of all the gods. The enemy cannot kill the host that Indra, the lord of the horse called Hari, makes powerful. (12)
मन्त्र॒मख॑र्वं॒ सुधि॑तं सु॒पेश॑सं॒ दधा॑त य॒ज्ञिये॒ष्वा । पू॒र्वीश्च॒न प्रसि॑तयस्तरन्ति॒ तं य इन्द्रे॒ कर्म॑णा॒ भुव॑त् ॥ (१३)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे मनुष्यो! अधिक, विधानयुक्त एवं सुंदर मंत्रों को यज्ञपात्र देवों में इंद्र को ही अर्पित करो. जो व्यक्ति अपने कर्म से इंद्र का मन आकर्षित कर लेता है, उसे अनेक पाश नहीं बांधते. (१३)
EN English Translation
O men! Moreover, offer the legislative and beautiful mantras to Indra in the sacrificial gods. The person who attracts Indra's mind with his karma, does not bind many loops to him. (13)
कस्तमि॑न्द्र॒ त्वाव॑सु॒मा मर्त्यो॑ दधर्षति । श्र॒द्धा इत्ते॑ मघव॒न्पार्ये॑ दि॒वि वा॒जी वाजं॑ सिषासति ॥ (१४)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे इंद्र! जो व्यक्ति तुम्हारे मन में रहता है, उसे कौन आदमी दबा सकता है? हे धनस्वामी इंद्र! जो तुम्हारे प्रति श्रद्धालु होकर हवि देता है, वह स्वर्ग एवं भविष्य में अन्न पाता है. (१४)
EN English Translation
O Indra! Who can suppress the person who lives in your mind? O Dhanaswami Indra! He who gives prayer to you, finds food in heaven and in the future. (14)
म॒घोनः॑ स्म वृत्र॒हत्ये॑षु चोदय॒ ये दद॑ति प्रि॒या वसु॑ । तव॒ प्रणी॑ती हर्यश्व सू॒रिभि॒र्विश्वा॑ तरेम दुरि॒ता ॥ (१५)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे धनवान् इंद्र! जो तुम्हें प्रिय धन देते हैं, उन्हें तुम युद्ध में उत्साहित करो. हे हरि नामक घोड़ों के स्वामी इंद्र! हम तुम्हारी कृपा से अपने स्तोताओं सहित पापों से पार हो जावें. (१५)
EN English Translation
O Rich Indra! Those who give you dear riches, encourage them to you in battle. O Indra, lord of horses named Hari! May we overcome sins, including your stoes, by your grace. (15)
तवेदि॑न्द्राव॒मं वसु॒ त्वं पु॑ष्यसि मध्य॒मम् । स॒त्रा विश्व॑स्य पर॒मस्य॑ राजसि॒ नकि॑ष्ट्वा॒ गोषु॑ वृण्वते ॥ (१६)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे इंद्र! यह अधम धन तुम्हारा है. तुम मध्यम धन के स्वामी हो. तुम समस्त उत्तम धन के राजा हो. यह बात सत्य है कि गो संबंधी दान देने से तुम्हें कोई रोक नहीं सकता. (१६)
EN English Translation
O Indra! This unshadowed wealth is yours. You are the master of medium wealth. You are the king of all the best wealth. It is true that nothing can stop you from donating about cow. (16)
त्वं विश्व॑स्य धन॒दा अ॑सि श्रु॒तो य ईं॒ भव॑न्त्या॒जयः॑ । तवा॒यं विश्वः॑ पुरुहूत॒ पार्थि॑वोऽव॒स्युर्नाम॑ भिक्षते ॥ (१७)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे इंद्र! तुम विश्व को धन देने वाले हो. होने वाले युद्धों में भी तुम धनद के रूप में प्रसिद्ध हो. हे बहुतों द्वारा बुलाए गए इंद्र! रक्षा के निमित्त सभी लोग तुमसे धन मांगते हैं. (१७)
EN English Translation
O Indra! You are going to give money to the world. Even in the wars that take place you are famous as Dhanad. O Indra called by many! Everyone asks you for money for the sake of protection. (17)
यदि॑न्द्र॒ याव॑त॒स्त्वमे॒ताव॑द॒हमीशी॑य । स्तो॒तार॒मिद्दि॑धिषेय रदावसो॒ न पा॑प॒त्वाय॑ रासीय ॥ (१८)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे इंद्र! जितने धन के तुम ईश्वर हो, उतने के ही हम भी स्वामी बनें. हे धन देने वाले इंद्र! मैं धन से स्तोता की रक्षा करूंगा एवं पाप के लिए धन नहीं दूंगा. (१८)
EN English Translation
O Indra! Of the wealth you are god, the more we should be masters. O Indra, who gives money! I will protect the stotha from money and will not give money for sin. (18)
शिक्षे॑य॒मिन्म॑हय॒ते दि॒वेदि॑वे रा॒य आ कु॑हचि॒द्विदे॑ । न॒हि त्वद॒न्यन्म॑घवन्न॒ आप्यं॒ वस्यो॒ अस्ति॑ पि॒ता च॒न ॥ (१९)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे इंद्र! तुम्हारा पूजक पुरुष कहीं हो, मैं उसे प्रतिदिन दान दूंगा. हे धनी इंद्र! तुम्हारे अतिरिक्त हमारा कोई भी जातीय एवं पिता नहीं है. (१९)
EN English Translation
O Indra! If your godly man is somewhere, I will give him every day. O rich Indra! We have no jati and father other than you. (19)
त॒रणि॒रित्सि॑षासति॒ वाजं॒ पुरं॑ध्या यु॒जा । आ व॒ इन्द्रं॑ पुरुहू॒तं न॑मे गि॒रा ने॒मिं तष्टे॑व सु॒द्र्व॑म् ॥ (२०)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
शीघ्र कर्म करने वाला व्यक्ति महान् कर्म के सहारे अन्न का भोग करता है. जैसे बढ़ई उत्तम लकड़ी की बनी पहिए की नेमि को झुकाता है, उसी प्रकार मैं बहुतों द्वारा बुलाए हुए इंद्र को स्तुति द्वारा झुकाऊंगा. (२०)
EN English Translation
A person who does quick deeds enjoys food on the basis of great karma. Just as the carpenter bows the name of the wheel made of fine wood, so I will bow down with praise to indra called by many. (20)
न दु॑ष्टु॒ती मर्त्यो॑ विन्दते॒ वसु॒ न स्रेध॑न्तं र॒यिर्न॑शत् । सु॒शक्ति॒रिन्म॑घव॒न्तुभ्यं॒ माव॑ते दे॒ष्णं यत्पार्ये॑ दि॒वि ॥ (२१)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
बुरी स्तुतियां करने वाला मनुष्य धन प्राप्त नहीं करता. धन हिंसक के पास भी नहीं जाता. हे धनस्वामी इंद्र! स्वर्ग एवं भविष्य में मुझ जैसे व्यक्ति को जो देने योग्य है, उसे उत्तमकर्म वाला ही पा सकता है. (२१)
EN English Translation
A man who makes evil praises does not receive wealth. Money doesn't even go to the violent. O Dhanaswami Indra! Only a person who is able to give to a person like me in heaven and in the future can find a good deed. (21)
अ॒भि त्वा॑ शूर नोनु॒मोऽदु॑ग्धा इव धे॒नवः॑ । ईशा॑नम॒स्य जग॑तः स्व॒र्दृश॒मीशा॑नमिन्द्र त॒स्थुषः॑ ॥ (२२)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे शूर इंद्र! हम बिना दुही गाय के समान चमस में सोम भरकर तुम्हारी स्तुति करते हैं. तुम जंगम प्राणियों एवं स्थिर पदार्थो के स्वामी एवं सबको देखने वाले हो. (२२)
EN English Translation
O Shur Indra! We praise you by filling som in a spoon like a cow without milk. You are the master of movable beings and fixed things and the seer of all. (22)
न त्वावा॑ँ अ॒न्यो दि॒व्यो न पार्थि॑वो॒ न जा॒तो न ज॑निष्यते । अ॒श्वा॒यन्तो॑ मघवन्निन्द्र वा॒जिनो॑ ग॒व्यन्त॑स्त्वा हवामहे ॥ (२३)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे धनस्वामी इंद्र! तुम्हारे समान स्वर्ग अथवा धरती में न कोई उत्पन्न हुआ है और न जन्म लेगा. हम घोड़ा, अन्न एवं गो चाहते हुए तुम्हें बुलाते हैं. (२३)
EN English Translation
O Dhanaswami Indra! No one has been born in heaven or earth like you and will not be born. We call you, wanting horse, grain and go. (23)
अ॒भी ष॒तस्तदा भ॒रेन्द्र॒ ज्यायः॒ कनी॑यसः । पु॒रू॒वसु॒र्हि म॑घवन्स॒नादसि॒ भरे॑भरे च॒ हव्यः॑ ॥ (२४)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे ज्येष्ठ इंद्र! मुझ कनिष्ठ को वह धन दो. तुम चिरकाल से अधिक धन वाले हो एवं प्रत्येक यज्ञ में बुलाए जाते हो. (२४)
EN English Translation
O eldest Indra! Give that money to my junior. You are richer than ever and are called to every yagna. (24)
परा॑ णुदस्व मघवन्न॒मित्रा॑न्सु॒वेदा॑ नो॒ वसू॑ कृधि । अ॒स्माकं॑ बोध्यवि॒ता म॑हाध॒ने भवा॑ वृ॒धः सखी॑नाम् ॥ (२५)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे धनस्वामी इंद्र! शत्रुओं को हमसे पराङ्मुख करो एवं हमारे लिए धन को सुलभ बनाओ. तुम हमारे रक्षक बनो एवं हम मित्रों के महान् धन के बढ़ाने वाले बनो. (२५)
EN English Translation
O Dhanaswami Indra! Turn the enemies away from us and make wealth accessible to us. Be our protectors and be the enhancers of the great wealth of our friends. (25)
इन्द्र॒ क्रतुं॑ न॒ आ भ॑र पि॒ता पु॒त्रेभ्यो॒ यथा॑ । शिक्षा॑ णो अ॒स्मिन्पु॑रुहूत॒ याम॑नि जी॒वा ज्योति॑रशीमहि ॥ (२६)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे इंद्र! हमारे लिए प्रज्ञान लाओ. जैसे पिता पुत्र को देता है, वैसे ही तुम हमें धन दो. हे बहुतों द्वारा बुलाए गए इंद्र! हम यज्ञजीवी प्रतिदिन सूर्य को प्राप्त करें. (२६)
EN English Translation
O Indra! Bring wisdom for us. Just as the Father gives to the Son, so give us wealth. O Indra called by many! We attain the sun every day. (26)
मा नो॒ अज्ञा॑ता वृ॒जना॑ दुरा॒ध्यो॒३॒॑ माशि॑वासो॒ अव॑ क्रमुः । त्वया॑ व॒यं प्र॒वतः॒ शश्व॑तीर॒पोऽति॑ शूर तरामसि ॥ (२७)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे इंद्र! अज्ञात हिंसक एवं शत्रु लोग हम पर आक्रमण न करें. हे शूर इंद्र! हम नम्र होकर तुम्हारे साथ बहुत से कार्यो में सफलता प्राप्त करें. (२७)
EN English Translation
O Indra! Let not unknown violent and hostile people attack us. O Shur Indra! May we be humble and get success in many tasks with you. (27)
