इ॒यं वा॑म॒स्य मन्म॑न॒ इन्द्रा॑ग्नी पू॒र्व्यस्तु॑तिः । अ॒भ्राद्वृ॒ष्टिरि॑वाजनि ॥ (१)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे इंद्र एवं अग्नि! इस स्तोता से यह उत्तम स्तुति उसी प्रकार उत्पन्न हुई है, जिस प्रकार बादल से वर्षा होती है. (१)
EN English Translation
O Indra and Agni! From this hymn, this fine praise is produced in the same way as it rains from the cloud. (1)
शृ॒णु॒तं ज॑रि॒तुर्हव॒मिन्द्रा॑ग्नी॒ वन॑तं॒ गिरः॑ । ई॒शा॒ना पि॑प्यतं॒ धियः॑ ॥ (२)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे इंद्र एवं अग्नि! तुम स्तोता की पुकार सुनो और उसकी स्तुति स्वीकार करो. तुम सबके स्वामी हो, इसलिए यज्ञकर्म को पूरा करो. (२)
EN English Translation
O Indra and Agni! You listen to the call of the Psalms and accept his praise. You are the master of all, so complete the yajnakarma. (2)
मा पा॑प॒त्वाय॑ नो न॒रेन्द्रा॑ग्नी॒ माभिश॑स्तये । मा नो॑ रीरधतं नि॒दे ॥ (३)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे नेता इंद्र एवं अग्नि! हमें हीनभाव, पराजय एवं निंदा के वश में मत करना. (३)
EN English Translation
O leader Indra and Agni! Don't subject us to inferiority, defeat and condemnation. (3)
इन्द्रे॑ अ॒ग्ना नमो॑ बृ॒हत्सु॑वृ॒क्तिमेर॑यामहे । धि॒या धेना॑ अव॒स्यवः॑ ॥ (४)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हम अपनी रक्षा की अभिलाषा से विस्तृत हव्यरूप अन्न, शोभनस्तुति एवं यज्ञकर्म- सहित-स्तुतिवचन इंद्र एवं अग्नि के पास भेजते हैं. (४)
EN English Translation
We send the praises to Indra and Agni, with the intention of protecting us, to Indra and Agni, with the intention of protecting us. (4)
ता हि शश्व॑न्त॒ ईळ॑त इ॒त्था विप्रा॑स ऊ॒तये॑ । स॒बाधो॒ वाज॑सातये ॥ (५)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
बुद्धिमान् लोग अपनी रक्षा के लिए इंद्र व अग्नि दोनों की इस प्रकार स्तुति करते हैं. समान कष्ट भोगने वाले लोग अन्न पाने के लिए स्तुति करते हैं. (५)
EN English Translation
Wise people praise both Indra and Agni for their protection in this way. People suffering the same praise for getting food. (5)
ता वां॑ गी॒र्भिर्वि॑प॒न्यवः॒ प्रय॑स्वन्तो हवामहे । मे॒धसा॑ता सनि॒ष्यवः॑ ॥ (६)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
स्तुति करने के इच्छुक हव्य अन्न से युक्त एवं धन की अभिलाषा वाले हम यज्ञ का फल पाने के लिए स्तुति द्वारा उन दोनों को बुलाते हैं. (६)
EN English Translation
We, who are willing to praise, are those who are rich in food and desirous of wealth, we call both of them by praise to get the fruits of the yajna. (6)
इन्द्रा॑ग्नी॒ अव॒सा ग॑तम॒स्मभ्यं॑ चर्षणीसहा । मा नो॑ दुः॒शंस॑ ईशत ॥ (७)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे शत्रुओं को हराने वाले इंद्र एवं अग्नि! तुम अन्न लेकर हमारे पास आओ. बुरे वचन बोलने वाला हमारा स्वामी न बने. (७)
EN English Translation
O Indra and Agni who defeat the enemies! You bring us food. Do not become our master who speaks bad words. (7)
मा कस्य॑ नो॒ अर॑रुषो धू॒र्तिः प्रण॒ङ्मर्त्य॑स्य । इन्द्रा॑ग्नी॒ शर्म॑ यच्छतम् ॥ (८)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे इंद्र एवं अग्नि! हमें किसी भी मनुष्य द्वारा हिंसा प्राप्त न हो. हमें तुम सुख दो. (८)
EN English Translation
O Indra and Agni! Let us not receive violence by any human being. Give us you pleasure. (8)
गोम॒द्धिर॑ण्यव॒द्वसु॒ यद्वा॒मश्वा॑व॒दीम॑हे । इन्द्रा॑ग्नी॒ तद्व॑नेमहि ॥ (९)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे इंद्र एवं अग्नि! हम तुमसे जिन गायों, स्वर्ण एवं अश्वों से युक्त धन को मांगते हैं, उसका हम उपभोग करें. (९)
EN English Translation
O Indra and Agni! Let us consume the money we ask of you with cows, gold and horses. (9)
यत्सोम॒ आ सु॒ते नर॑ इन्द्रा॒ग्नी अजो॑हवुः । सप्ती॑वन्ता सप॒र्यवः॑ ॥ (१०)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
सोमरस निचुड़ जाने पर यज्ञकर्म के नेता जनसेवा की अभिलाषा से उत्तम घोड़ों वाले इंद्र एवं अग्नि को बार-बार बुलाते हैं. (१०)
EN English Translation
When the Somras go to Nikud, the leaders of the yajnakarma repeatedly call Indra and Agni, who have the best horses, with the desire of public service. (10)
उ॒क्थेभि॑र्वृत्र॒हन्त॑मा॒ या म॑न्दा॒ना चि॒दा गि॒रा । आ॒ङ्गू॒षैरा॒विवा॑सतः ॥ (११)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हम उवथों, स्तुतियों एवं स्तोत्रों द्वारा शत्रुनाशकों में श्रेष्ठ एवं अतिशय प्रसन्न इंद्र एवं अग्नि की सेवा करते हैं. (११)
EN English Translation
We serve Indra and Agni, the best and the most happy of the enemies through hymns, hymns and hymns. (11)
ताविद्दुः॒शंसं॒ मर्त्यं॒ दुर्वि॑द्वांसं रक्ष॒स्विन॑म् । आ॒भो॒गं हन्म॑ना हतमुद॒धिं हन्म॑ना हतम् ॥ (१२)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे इंद्र एवं अग्नि! तुम दुष्टविचारों एवं बुरे ज्ञान वाले, शक्तिशाली एवं हमारी संपत्ति का अपहरण करने वाले मनुष्य को आयुध द्वारा इस प्रकार नष्ट करो जैसे घड़ा फोड़ा जाता है. (१२)
EN English Translation
O Indra and Agni! You destroy the man of wicked thoughts and evil knowledge, the mighty and the one who hijacks our property, by the weapon, as if a pitcher is smashed. (12)
