पिबा॑ सु॒तस्य॑ र॒सिनो॒ मत्स्वा॑ न इन्द्र॒ गोम॑तः । आ॒पिर्नो॑ बोधि सध॒माद्यो॑ वृ॒धे॒३॒॑ऽस्माँ अ॑वन्तु ते॒ धियः॑ ॥ (१)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे इंद्र! हमारे निचोड़े हुए सरस एवं गोदुग्धयुक्त सोमरस को पीकर प्रसन्न बनो. हे हमारे साथ प्रसन्न होने योग्य इंद्र! तुम हमारे मित्र के रूप में हमें उन्नत बनाने के लिए बढ़ो. तुम्हारी कृपा हमारी रक्षा करे. (१)
EN English Translation
O Indra! Be happy to drink our squeezed sarus and somras. O Indra worthy of being pleased with us! You grow to upgrade us as our friend. Please protect us. (1)
भू॒याम॑ ते सुम॒तौ वा॒जिनो॑ व॒यं मा नः॑ स्तर॒भिमा॑तये । अ॒स्माञ्चि॒त्राभि॑रवताद॒भिष्टि॑भि॒रा नः॑ सु॒म्नेषु॑ यामय ॥ (२)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हम तुम्हारी कृपा के कारण अन्नों के स्वामी बनें. तुम शत्रु का पक्ष लेकर हमें मत मारना. अपने विविध रक्षासाधनों द्वारा हमें बचाओ एवं सदा सुखी बनाओ. (२)
EN English Translation
Let us be masters of the grains because of your grace. Don't kill us by taking the side of the enemy. Save us through your various defenses and make us happy forever. (2)
इ॒मा उ॑ त्वा पुरूवसो॒ गिरो॑ वर्धन्तु॒ या मम॑ । पा॒व॒कव॑र्णाः॒ शुच॑यो विप॒श्चितो॒ऽभि स्तोमै॑रनूषत ॥ (३)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे अनेक संपत्तियों के स्वामी इंद्र! मेरे ये स्तुतिवचन तुम्हारी वृद्धि करें. अग्नि के समान तेजस्वी एवं पवित्र विद्वान् लोग तुम्हारी स्तुति करते हैं. (३)
EN English Translation
O Lord of many properties Indra! These praises of mine increase yours. As bright as agni and holy scholars praise you. (3)
अ॒यं स॒हस्र॒मृषि॑भिः॒ सह॑स्कृतः समु॒द्र इ॑व पप्रथे । स॒त्यः सो अ॑स्य महि॒मा गृ॑णे॒ शवो॑ य॒ज्ञेषु॑ विप्र॒राज्ये॑ ॥ (४)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
ये इंद्र हजारों ऋषियों की शक्ति के सहारे उन्नति को प्राप्त हुए हैं. इंद्र की वास्तविक महिमा का वर्णन ब्राहमणों के राज्यरूप यज्ञ में किया जाता है. (४)
EN English Translation
These Indras have attained progress with the power of thousands of sages. The true glory of Indra is described in the yajna, the kingdom form of the Brahmins. (4)
इन्द्र॒मिद्दे॒वता॑तय॒ इन्द्रं॑ प्रय॒त्य॑ध्व॒रे । इन्द्रं॑ समी॒के व॒निनो॑ हवामह॒ इन्द्रं॒ धन॑स्य सा॒तये॑ ॥ (५)

हम इंद्र को यज्ञ के प्रारंभ में एवं समाप्ति पर बुलाते हैं. हम सेवा करते हुए इंद्र को बुलाते हैं. (५)
EN English Translation
We call Indra at the beginning and end of the yajna. We call Indra while serving. (5)
इन्द्रो॑ म॒ह्ना रोद॑सी पप्रथ॒च्छव॒ इन्द्रः॒ सूर्य॑मरोचयत् । इन्द्रे॑ ह॒ विश्वा॒ भुव॑नानि येमिर॒ इन्द्रे॑ सुवा॒नास॒ इन्द॑वः ॥ (६)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
इंद्र ने अपनी शक्ति की महत्ता से द्यावा-पृथिवी का विस्तार किया है एवं सूर्य को चमकीला बनाया है. समस्त भुवन इंद्र के नियमों में बंधे हैं. सोमरस इंद्र के अधिकार में है. (६)
EN English Translation
Indra has expanded the dyava-prithvivi by the importance of his power and made the sun bright. All Bhuvans are bound by indra's laws. The Somras is in the possession of Indra. (6)
अ॒भि त्वा॑ पू॒र्वपी॑तय॒ इन्द्र॒ स्तोमे॑भिरा॒यवः॑ । स॒मी॒ची॒नास॑ ऋ॒भवः॒ सम॑स्वरन्रु॒द्रा गृ॑णन्त॒ पूर्व्य॑म् ॥ (७)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे इंद्र! स्तोता लोग सबसे पहले सोमरस पीने को स्तुतियों द्वारा तुम्हें बुलाते हैं. ऋभुगुण परस्पर मिलकर तुम्हारी स्तुति करते हैं. रुद्रों ने भी तुझ प्राचीन की स्तुति. (७)
EN English Translation
O Indra! Psalmists first call you by eulogies to drink somerus. The rigoras praise you together. Rudras also praised you ancient. (7)
अ॒स्येदिन्द्रो॑ वावृधे॒ वृष्ण्यं॒ शवो॒ मदे॑ सु॒तस्य॒ विष्ण॑वि । अ॒द्या तम॑स्य महि॒मान॑मा॒यवोऽनु॑ ष्टुवन्ति पू॒र्वथा॑ ॥ (८)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
सोमरस पीने के बाद जब सारे शरीर में नशा चढ़ता है तब इंद्र इसी यजमान की शक्ति और ओज बढ़ाते हैं. स्तोता जिस प्रकार पहले इंद्र की महिमा की स्तुति करते थे, उसी प्रकार आज भी करते हैं. (८)
EN English Translation
After drinking somras, when the whole body is intoxicated, Indra increases the power and oz of this host. Just as the Stotas used to praise the glory of Indra before, they do so even today. (8)
तत्त्वा॑ यामि सु॒वीर्यं॒ तद्ब्रह्म॑ पू॒र्वचि॑त्तये । येना॒ यति॑भ्यो॒ भृग॑वे॒ धने॑ हि॒ते येन॒ प्रस्क॑ण्व॒मावि॑थ ॥ (९)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे शोभनशक्ति वाले इंद्र! मैं सबसे पहले उत्तम अन्न पाने के लिए तुमसे याचना करता हूं. मैं तुमसे वह शक्ति एवं अन्न मांगता हूं, जिसके द्वारा तुमने यज्ञहीन लोगों का हितकारी धन भृगु को दिया एवं प्रस्कण्व की रक्षा की. (९)
EN English Translation
O Indra with the power of adornment! I first beg of all to ask you to get the best food. I ask of you the power and the food by which you gave the beneficial wealth of the sacrificial people to Bhrigu and protected the offering. (9)
येना॑ समु॒द्रमसृ॑जो म॒हीर॒पस्तदि॑न्द्र॒ वृष्णि॑ ते॒ शवः॑ । स॒द्यः सो अ॑स्य महि॒मा न सं॒नशे॒ यं क्षो॒णीर॑नुचक्र॒दे ॥ (१०)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे इंद्र! तुम्हारा वह बल अभिलाषापूरक है, जिसने सागर का पर्याप्त जल बनाया. तुम्हारी महिमा की सीमा नहीं है. धरती उसी महिमा के पीछे चलती है. (१०)
EN English Translation
O Indra! Your strength is full of desire, which created enough water of the sea. Your glory is not the limit. The earth follows the same glory. (10)
श॒ग्धी न॑ इन्द्र॒ यत्त्वा॑ र॒यिं यामि॑ सु॒वीर्य॑म् । श॒ग्धि वाजा॑य प्रथ॒मं सिषा॑सते श॒ग्धि स्तोमा॑य पूर्व्य ॥ (११)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे इंद्र! मैं तुमसे जो शोभनबल वाला धन मांगता हूं, मुझे वह धन प्रदान करो. सेवा करने को इच्छुक एवं हव्य धारण करने वाले यजमान को सबसे पहले धन दो. हे प्राचीन इंद्र! स्तोता को इसके बाद धन देना. (११)
EN English Translation
O Indra! The money I ask of you, give me that money. Give money first to the host who is willing to serve and possess the right. O ancient Indra! Give money to the parrot after this. (11)
श॒ग्धी नो॑ अ॒स्य यद्ध॑ पौ॒रमावि॑थ॒ धिय॑ इन्द्र॒ सिषा॑सतः । श॒ग्धि यथा॒ रुश॑मं॒ श्याव॑कं॒ कृप॒मिन्द्र॒ प्रावः॒ स्व॑र्णरम् ॥ (१२)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे इंद्र! स्तोत्रों के द्वारा सेवा करने वाले हमारे यजमान को वह धन दो, जिस धन के द्वारा तुमने राजा पुरु की रक्षा की थी. तुमने जिस प्रकार रुशम, श्यावक एवं कृप की रक्षा की थी, वैसे ही शोभन हवि वाले यजमान की रक्षा करो. (१२)
EN English Translation
O Indra! Give our host who serves through the psalms the money by which you protected King Puru. Just as you protected the rasam, the shy and the kripa, so protect the host of Shobhan Havi. (12)
कन्नव्यो॑ अत॒सीनां॑ तु॒रो गृ॑णीत॒ मर्त्यः॑ । न॒ही न्व॑स्य महि॒मान॑मिन्द्रि॒यं स्व॑र्गृ॒णन्त॑ आन॒शुः ॥ (१३)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
वह कौन नया व्यक्ति है जो सदा गतिशील एवं प्रेरणाप्रद स्तुतियों द्वारा इंद्र की स्तुति करे. इंद्र की स्तुति करने वाले स्तोता इंद्र की महिमा एवं पहचान को नहीं पा सकते. (१३)
EN English Translation
Who is the new person who will always praise Indra with dynamic and inspiring praises? The stotas who praise Indra cannot find the glory and identity of Indra. (13)
कदु॑ स्तु॒वन्त॑ ऋतयन्त दे॒वत॒ ऋषिः॒ को विप्र॑ ओहते । क॒दा हवं॑ मघवन्निन्द्र सुन्व॒तः कदु॑ स्तुव॒त आ ग॑मः ॥ (१४)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे इंद्र देव! कौन स्तुति करने वाला तुम्हारे लिए यज्ञ पूर्ण करने की अभिलाषा करता है? कोन बुद्धिमान् ऋषि तुम्हारी स्तुति करने की सामर्थ्य रखता है? हे धनस्वामी इंद्र! तुम सोमरस निचोड़ने वाले की पुकार पर कब आते हो? तुम स्तोता के बुलाने पर कब आते हो? (१४)
EN English Translation
O Indra Dev! Which praiser wishes to complete the yajna for you? Which wise sage has the power to praise you? O Dhanswami Indra! When do you come to the call of the somerus squeezer? When do you come when the psalm calls? (14)
उदु॒ त्ये मधु॑मत्तमा॒ गिरः॒ स्तोमा॑स ईरते । स॒त्रा॒जितो॑ धन॒सा अक्षि॑तोतयो वाज॒यन्तो॒ रथा॑ इव ॥ (१५)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
प्रसिद्ध एवं अतिशय मधुर स्तुतिवचन एवं स्तोत्र शत्रुविजयी, धनस्वामी, विनाशहीन- रक्षासाधन वाले एवं अन्नाभिलाषी रथ के समान बोले जाते हैं. (१५)
EN English Translation
Famous and very sweet praise and stotras are spoken like shatruvijayi, dhanswami, destruction-protecting and annabhilashi rath. (15)
कण्वा॑ इव॒ भृग॑वः॒ सूर्या॑ इव॒ विश्व॒मिद्धी॒तमा॑नशुः । इन्द्रं॒ स्तोमे॑भिर्म॒हय॑न्त आ॒यवः॑ प्रि॒यमे॑धासो अस्वरन् ॥ (१६)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
कण्वगोत्रीय ऋषियों के समान भृगुगोत्रीय ऋषियों ने भी प्रसिद्ध एवं सर्वत्र व्याप्त इंद्र को पाया है. प्रियमेध नामक लोगों ने इंद्र की महिमा बढ़ाते हुए स्तुतियों द्वारा पूजा की थी. (१६)
EN English Translation
Like the Kanvagotrian sages, the bhrigugotrian sages have also found the famous and omnipresent Indra. People named Priyamedha had worshipped Indra by praising him while exalting him. (16)
यु॒क्ष्वा हि वृ॑त्रहन्तम॒ हरी॑ इन्द्र परा॒वतः॑ । अ॒र्वा॒ची॒नो म॑घव॒न्सोम॑पीतय उ॒ग्र ऋ॒ष्वेभि॒रा ग॑हि ॥ (१७)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे वृत्रहनन में परमकुशल इंद्र! तुम अपने दोनों घोड़ों को रथ में जोतो. हे धनस्वामी एवं शक्तिशाली इंद्र! तुम सोमरस पीने के लिए दर्शनीय मरुतों के साथ दूर के स्थान से हमारे सामने आओ. (१७)
EN English Translation
O Supreme Indra in Vrithrahanan! You plough both your horses in the chariot. O rich and mighty Indra! You come before us from a distant place with spectacular maruts to drink the somras. (17)
इ॒मे हि ते॑ का॒रवो॑ वाव॒शुर्धि॒या विप्रा॑सो मे॒धसा॑तये । स त्वं नो॑ मघवन्निन्द्र गिर्वणो वे॒नो न शृ॑णुधी॒ हव॑म् ॥ (१८)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे इंद्र! यज्ञकर्म करने वाले एवं बुद्धिमान् ये यजमान यज्ञ में सम्मिलित होने के लिए तुम्हारी स्तुतियां बोलते हैं. हे धनस्वामी एवं स्तुतियोग्य इंद्र! जिस प्रकार अभिलाषी व्यक्ति ध्यान से सुनता है, उसी प्रकार तुम हमारी पुकार सुनो. (१८)
EN English Translation
O Indra! These yajmaans and wise do the yajnakarma speak your praises for joining the yajna. O rich and praiseworthy Indra! Just as the desireful person listens carefully, so do you listen to Our call. (18)
निरि॑न्द्र बृह॒तीभ्यो॑ वृ॒त्रं धनु॑भ्यो अस्फुरः । निरर्बु॑दस्य॒ मृग॑यस्य मा॒यिनो॒ निः पर्व॑तस्य॒ गा आ॑जः ॥ (१९)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे इंद्र! तुमने विशाल धनुषों द्वारा वृत्र को मारा था. तुमने मायावी अर्बुद एवं मृग को मारा था. तुमने पर्वतों से गायों को बाहर निकाला था. (१९)
EN English Translation
O Indra! You hit the vrikra by huge bows. You killed the elusive tumor and the antelope. You took the cows out of the mountains. (19)
निर॒ग्नयो॑ रुरुचु॒र्निरु॒ सूर्यो॒ निः सोम॑ इन्द्रि॒यो रसः॑ । निर॒न्तरि॑क्षादधमो म॒हामहिं॑ कृ॒षे तदि॑न्द्र॒ पौंस्य॑म् ॥ (२०)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे इंद्र! तुमने अंतरिक्ष से विशाल एवं हिंसक वृत्र को हटाकर अपनी शक्ति को प्रकाशित किया. उस समय सभी अग्नियां, सूर्य एवं इंद्र को प्रसन्न करने वाले सोमरस प्रकाशित हुए थे. (२०)
EN English Translation
O Indra! You have illuminated your power by removing the huge and violent circle from space. At that time all the agnis, the Somras, which pleased the sun and Indra, were illuminated. (20)
यं मे॒ दुरिन्द्रो॑ म॒रुतः॒ पाक॑स्थामा॒ कौर॑याणः । विश्वे॑षां॒ त्मना॒ शोभि॑ष्ठ॒मुपे॑व दि॒वि धाव॑मानम् ॥ (२१)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
इंद्र एवं मरुतों ने मुझे जो कुछ प्रदान किया, वही कुरुयान के पुत्र पाकस्थामा ने दिया. वह धन समस्त संपत्तियों के बीच इस प्रकार शोभा पाता है, जिस प्रकार स्वर्ग में गति करता हुआ तेजस्वी सूर्य. (२१)
EN English Translation
What Indra and the Maruts gave me, pakasthama, the son of Kuruyana, gave me. That wealth adorns all the possessions in such a way that the bright sun moving in heaven. (21)
रोहि॑तं मे॒ पाक॑स्थामा सु॒धुरं॑ कक्ष्य॒प्राम् । अदा॑द्रा॒यो वि॒बोध॑नम् ॥ (२२)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
पाकस्थामा ने मुझे लाल रंग वाला, शोभन पीठ वाला, लगाम से युक्त एवं भांति-भांति की संपत्तियों का ज्ञान कराने वाला घोड़ा दिया था. (२२)
EN English Translation
Pakasthama had given me a horse with a red color, a swollen back, with a rein and a variety of properties. (22)
यस्मा॑ अ॒न्ये दश॒ प्रति॒ धुरं॒ वह॑न्ति॒ वह्न॑यः । अस्तं॒ वयो॒ न तुग्र्य॑म् ॥ (२३)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
उस घोड़े के आगे चलने वाले दस घोड़े मुझे वहन करते हैं. इसी तरह तुग्र के पुत्र भुज्यु को घोड़ों ने वहन किया था. (२३)
EN English Translation
The ten horses that walk in front of that horse carry me. Similarly, Tughur's son Bhujyu was carried by horses. (23)
आ॒त्मा पि॒तुस्त॒नूर्वास॑ ओजो॒दा अ॒भ्यञ्ज॑नम् । तु॒रीय॒मिद्रोहि॑तस्य॒ पाक॑स्थामानं भो॒जं दा॒तार॑मब्रवम् ॥ (२४)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
अपने पिता के उपयुक्त पुत्र, निवास हेतु घर एवं ओजस्वी पदार्थ देने वाले, शत्रुओं के नाशक A उपभोग करने वाले तथा लाल रंग का घोड़ा प्रदान करने वाले पाकस्थामा की स्तुति मैं करता हूं. (२४)
EN English Translation
I praise the perfect son of his father, the protector of his father, the one who gave houses and valuables for habitation, the destroyer of the enemies, the one who consumes and the one who provides a red horse. (24)
