यदि॑न्द्र॒ प्रागपा॒गुद॒ङ्न्य॑ग्वा हू॒यसे॒ नृभिः॑ । सिमा॑ पु॒रू नृषू॑तो अ॒स्यान॒वेऽसि॑ प्रशर्ध तु॒र्वशे॑ ॥ (१)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे इंद्र! यद्यपि तुम पूर्व, पश्चिम, उत्तर एवं दक्षिण के देशों में रहने वाले स्तोताओं द्वारा बुलाए जाते हो, तथापि स्तोताओं द्वारा राजा अनु के पुत्र के पास जाने को प्रेरित होते हो. स्तोता तुम्हे तुर्वश के पास जाने के लिए भी प्रेरित करते हैं. (१)
EN English Translation
O Indra! Although you are called by the Stotas living in the countries of the East, West, North and South, you are inspired by the Stoetas to go to the son of King Anu. Stotas also motivate you to go to Turvash. (1)
यद्वा॒ रुमे॒ रुश॑मे॒ श्याव॑के॒ कृप॒ इन्द्र॑ मा॒दय॑से॒ सचा॑ । कण्वा॑सस्त्वा॒ ब्रह्म॑भिः॒ स्तोम॑वाहस॒ इन्द्रा य॑च्छ॒न्त्या ग॑हि ॥ (२)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे इंद्र! जैसे तुम रुम, रुशम, श्यावक एवं कृप नामक राजाओं के साथ प्रसन्न होते हो, फिर भी स्तोत्र स्मरण रखने वाले कण्वगोत्रीय ऋषि तुम्हें स्तोत्र सुनाते हैं. तुम आओ. (२)
EN English Translation
O Indra! Just as you are pleased with the kings of Rum, Rusham, Shyavak and Krip, the Sages of Kanvagotriya, who remember the psalms, recite hymns to you. You come. (2)
यथा॑ गौ॒रो अ॒पा कृ॒तं तृष्य॒न्नेत्यवेरि॑णम् । आ॒पि॒त्वे नः॑ प्रपि॒त्वे तूय॒मा ग॑हि॒ कण्वे॑षु॒ सु सचा॒ पिब॑ ॥ (३)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे इंद्र! जैसे गौर मृग पानी के लिए प्यासा होने पर बिना घास वाले एवं जलपूर्ण स्थान पर आता है, उसी प्रकार हम कण्वगोत्रीय ऋषियों की मित्रता पाकर तुम शीघ्र आओ और हमारे साथ सोमरस पिओ. (३)
EN English Translation
O Indra! Just as the gaur deer comes to a place without grass and water when thirsting for water, so we, having the friendship of the sages of the Kanvagotriyas, come quickly and drink somras with us. (3)
मन्द॑न्तु त्वा मघवन्नि॒न्द्रेन्द॑वो राधो॒देया॑य सुन्व॒ते । आ॒मुष्या॒ सोम॑मपिबश्च॒मू सु॒तं ज्येष्ठं॒ तद्द॑धिषे॒ सहः॑ ॥ (४)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे धनस्वामी इंद्र! सोमरस तुम्हें इस प्रकार मत्त करे कि तुम उसे निचोड़ने वाले को धन दो. तुमने यह सोमरस पिया है. तुमने इसी महान् एवं प्रशंसायोग्य सोमरस के लिए अधिक मात्रा में शक्ति धारण की है. (४)
EN English Translation
O Dhanaswami Indra! May somers worship you in such a way that you give money to the one who squeezes it. You've drunk this somers. You have possessed a greater amount of power for this great and praiseworthy Somras. (4)
प्र च॑क्रे॒ सह॑सा॒ सहो॑ ब॒भञ्ज॑ म॒न्युमोज॑सा । विश्वे॑ त इन्द्र पृतना॒यवो॑ यहो॒ नि वृ॒क्षा इ॑व येमिरे ॥ (५)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
इंद्र ने अपनी शक्ति द्वारा शत्रुओं को वश में किया है एवं अपने ओज से दूसरों का क्रोध समाप्त किया है. हे महान् इंद्र! तुम्हारे सभी शत्रु वृक्ष के समान धराशायी हो गए हैं. (५)
EN English Translation
Indra has subdued the enemies by his power and has ended the anger of others with his power. O great Indra! All your enemies have been dashed like trees. (5)
स॒हस्रे॑णेव सचते यवी॒युधा॒ यस्त॒ आन॒ळुप॑स्तुतिम् । पु॒त्रं प्रा॑व॒र्गं कृ॑णुते सु॒वीर्ये॑ दा॒श्नोति॒ नम॑उक्तिभिः ॥ (६)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे इंद्र! जो तुम्हारी स्तुति करता है, वह युद्ध में वज्र के समान विक्रम दिखने वाले हजार वीर प्राप्त करता है. जो नमस्कार शब्द के साथ तुम्हें हव्य देता है वह शोभन वीर्ययुक्त पुत्र प्राप्त करता है. (६)
EN English Translation
O Indra! He who praises you receives a thousand heroes who look vikram like a thunderbolt in battle. The one who greets you with the word 'greeting salutation' receives a son with a warm semen. (6)
मा भे॑म॒ मा श्र॑मिष्मो॒ग्रस्य॑ स॒ख्ये तव॑ । म॒हत्ते॒ वृष्णो॑ अभि॒चक्ष्यं॑ कृ॒तं पश्ये॑म तु॒र्वशं॒ यदु॑म् ॥ (७)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे उग्र इंद्र! तुम्हारी मित्रता पाकर हम न भयभीत हों और न थर्कें. हे अभिलाषापूरक इंद्र! तुम्हारे महान् कार्य कहने योग्य हैं. हमने तुर्वश एवं यदु राजाओं को देखा है. (७)
EN English Translation
O furious Indra! We should not be afraid of your friendship, nor should we be afraid. Oh, this desireful Indra! Your great deeds are worth saying. We have seen the Turvash and Yadu kings. (7)
स॒व्यामनु॑ स्फि॒ग्यं॑ वावसे॒ वृषा॒ न दा॒नो अ॑स्य रोषति । मध्वा॒ सम्पृ॑क्ताः सार॒घेण॑ धे॒नव॒स्तूय॒मेहि॒ द्रवा॒ पिब॑ ॥ (८)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
अभिलाषापूरक इंद्र ने अपने शरीर के वामभाग से सभी प्राणियों को ढक लिया है. हवि देने वाला इंद्र को क्रोधित नहीं करता है. हे इंद्र! शहद मिले हुए एवं आनंद देने वाले सोमरस के सामने जल्दी आओ एवं उसे पिओ. (८)
EN English Translation
The desireful Indra has covered all beings with the left part of his body. The one who gives the havi does not make Indra angry. O Indra! Come quickly in front of the honey-fed and pleasing somras and drink it. (8)
अ॒श्वी र॒थी सु॑रू॒प इद्गोमा॒ँ इदि॑न्द्र ते॒ सखा॑ । श्वा॒त्र॒भाजा॒ वय॑सा सचते॒ सदा॑ च॒न्द्रो या॑ति स॒भामुप॑ ॥ (९)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे इंद्र! तुम्हारा मित्र घोड़ोंवाला, रथवाला, गोवाला एवं सौंदर्ययुक्त बनता है. वह शीघ्र प्राप्त होने वाला धन पाता है एवं सबके लिए प्रसन्नता उत्पन्न करता हुआ सभा में जाता है. (९)
EN English Translation
O Indra! Your friend becomes a horseman, a chariot-wallah, a gowala and a beauté. He gets the money that is quick to be received and goes to the assembly, creating happiness for all. (9)
ऋश्यो॒ न तृष्य॑न्नव॒पान॒मा ग॑हि॒ पिबा॒ सोमं॒ वशा॒ँ अनु॑ । नि॒मेघ॑मानो मघवन्दि॒वेदि॑व॒ ओजि॑ष्ठं दधिषे॒ सहः॑ ॥ (१०)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
जैसे प्यासा ऋश्य मृग जल के पास आता है, उसी प्रकार तुम पात्र में रखे गए सोमरस के सामने आओ एवं उसे इच्छा के अनुसार पिओ. हे धनस्वामी इंद्र! तुम प्रतिदिन नीचे की ओर वर्षा करते हुए अत्यंत ओजवाला बल धारण करो. (१०)
EN English Translation
Just as the thirsty antelope comes near the water, so come before the somras kept in the vessel and drink it according to your desire. O Dhanaswami Indra! You should have a very energetic force every day while you rain downwards. (10)
अध्व॑र्यो द्रा॒वया॒ त्वं सोम॒मिन्द्रः॑ पिपासति । उप॑ नू॒नं यु॑युजे॒ वृष॑णा॒ हरी॒ आ च॑ जगाम वृत्र॒हा ॥ (११)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे अध्वर्युगण! तुम सोमरस पीने के इच्छुक इंद्र के लिए सोम निचोड़ो. दोनों अभिलाषापूरक घोड़े रथ में जोते गए हैं एवं वृत्रनाशक इंद्र आए हैं. (११)
EN English Translation
O teacher! Squeeze the som to Indra you want to drink somras. Both the desire-filled horses have been plowed in the chariot and the vrithrashakta Indra has come. (11)
स्व॒यं चि॒त्स म॑न्यते॒ दाशु॑रि॒र्जनो॒ यत्रा॒ सोम॑स्य तृ॒म्पसि॑ । इ॒दं ते॒ अन्नं॒ युज्यं॒ समु॑क्षितं॒ तस्येहि॒ प्र द्र॑वा॒ पिब॑ ॥ (१२)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे इंद्र! तुम जिस हव्यदाता का सोम पीकर संतोष पाते हो, इस बात को वह अपने आप ही जानता है. तुम्हारे योग्य सोमरस पात्र में रखा है. तुम उसके पास आकर उसे पिओ. (१२)
EN English Translation
O Indra! The person whose soulmate you find satisfaction by drinking the som, he knows it on his own. Your worthy somras is placed in the pot. You come to him and drink it. (12)
र॒थे॒ष्ठाया॑ध्वर्यवः॒ सोम॒मिन्द्रा॑य सोतन । अधि॑ ब्र॒ध्नस्याद्र॑यो॒ वि च॑क्षते सु॒न्वन्तो॑ दा॒श्व॑ध्वरम् ॥ (१३)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे अध्वर्युगण! रथ पर बैठे इंद्र के लिए सोमरस निचोड़ो. चमड़े के ऊपर एक पत्थर पर दूसरा पत्थर रखा है. यजमान यज्ञ पूरा करने वाले सोमरस को निचोड़ता हुआ सुशोभित है. (१३)
EN English Translation
O teacher! Squeeze the somras for Indra sitting on the chariot. One stone is placed on top of the leather on the other stone. The host is adorned with a squeezing somras that completes the yajna. (13)
उप॑ ब्र॒ध्नं वा॒वाता॒ वृष॑णा॒ हरी॒ इन्द्र॑म॒पसु॑ वक्षतः । अ॒र्वाञ्चं॑ त्वा॒ सप्त॑योऽध्वर॒श्रियो॒ वह॑न्तु॒ सव॒नेदुप॑ ॥ (१४)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
अभिलाषापूरक एवं अंतरिक्ष में बार-बार चलने वाले हरि नामक घोड़े इंद्र को हमारे यज्ञ में लावें. यज्ञ की शोभा बढ़ाने वाले एवं गतिशील घोड़े तुम्हें यज्ञों के पास ले जावें. (१४)
EN English Translation
May the horse called Hari, who is full of desire and repeatedly walking in space, bring Indra to our yagna. May the horses adorning the yajna and the moving take you to the yajnas. (14)
प्र पू॒षणं॑ वृणीमहे॒ युज्या॑य पुरू॒वसु॑म् । स श॑क्र शिक्ष पुरुहूत नो धि॒या तुजे॑ रा॒ये वि॑मोचन ॥ (१५)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हम अधिक पाने के लिए पूषा का वरण करते हैं. हे बहुतों द्वारा बुलाए गए एवं पाप से छुटकारा दिलाने वाले इंद्र! तुम और पूषा ऐसी इच्छा करो कि हम अपनी बुद्धि से धन पाने और शत्रुनाश के लिए योग्य बनें. (१५)
EN English Translation
We choose pusha to get more. O Indra, who has been called by many and redeemed from sin! You and God wish that we should be worthy of wealth and destruction of enmity from our wisdom. (15)
सं नः॑ शिशीहि भु॒रिजो॑रिव क्षु॒रं रास्व॑ रा॒यो वि॑मोचन । त्वे तन्नः॑ सु॒वेद॑मु॒स्रियं॒ वसु॒ यं त्वं हि॒नोषि॒ मर्त्य॑म् ॥ (१६)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे इंद्र! नाई के हाथ में रहने वाला छुरा जितना तेज होता है, हमारी बुद्धि उतनी ही तेज करो. हे पाप से छुड़ाने वाले इंद्र! हमें धन दो. तुम्हारी गाएं हमारे लिए सरलता से मिल जावें. वही धन तुम स्तोता को देते हो. (१६)
EN English Translation
O Indra! The faster the knife in the hand of the barber, the faster our intellects. O Indra, who delivers from sin! Give us money. Let your sings be easy for us. That's the money you give to The Stota. (16)
वेमि॑ त्वा पूषन्नृ॒ञ्जसे॒ वेमि॒ स्तोत॑व आघृणे । न तस्य॑ वे॒म्यर॑णं॒ हि तद्व॑सो स्तु॒षे प॒ज्राय॒ साम्ने॑ ॥ (१७)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे पूषा! मैं तुम्हें प्रसन्न करना चाहता हूं. हे दीप्तिसंपन्न पूषा! मैं तुम्हारी स्तुति करना चाहता हूं. मैं किसी अन्य देवता की स्तुति नहीं करना चाहता, क्योंकि वे सुख नहीं देते. हे निवास देने वाले पूषा! स्तोता एवं साममंत्र जानने वाले पज्र को वह धन दो. (१७)
EN English Translation
O God! I want to please you. O bright god! I want to praise you. I don't want to praise any other god, because they don't give happiness. O god who gives the dwelling! Give that money to the pajra who knows the hymn and the sammantra. (17)
परा॒ गावो॒ यव॑सं॒ कच्चि॑दाघृणे॒ नित्यं॒ रेक्णो॑ अमर्त्य । अ॒स्माकं॑ पूषन्नवि॒ता शि॒वो भ॑व॒ मंहि॑ष्ठो॒ वाज॑सातये ॥ (१८)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे दीप्तिशाली एवं मरणरहित पूषा! हमारी गाएं किस समय चरकर लौटती हैं? हमारा गोधन नित्य हो. हे अभिलाषापूरक पूषा! तुम हमारे रक्षक और कल्याणकर्ता बनो. तुम हमें अन्न देने के लिए महान् बनो. (१८)
EN English Translation
O glorious and dying God! At what time do our cows return? Let our godhan be constant. This is a wishful prayer! You be our protector and welfare. Be great for giving us food. (18)
स्थू॒रं राधः॑ श॒ताश्वं॑ कुरु॒ङ्गस्य॒ दिवि॑ष्टिषु । राज्ञ॑स्त्वे॒षस्य॑ सु॒भग॑स्य रा॒तिषु॑ तु॒र्वशे॑ष्वमन्महि ॥ (१९)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
दीप्तिशाली एवं सौभाग्ययुक्त राजा कुरंग ने स्वर्ग पाने के लिए यज्ञ किया. उस में हमने बहुत से मनुष्यों के साथ सौ घोड़ों के अतिरिक्त बहुत सा धन पाया. (१९)
EN English Translation
The bright and fortunate King Kurang performed a yagna to get to heaven. In that we found much wealth in addition to a hundred horses with many men. (19)
धी॒भिः सा॒तानि॑ का॒ण्वस्य॑ वा॒जिनः॑ प्रि॒यमे॑धैर॒भिद्यु॑भिः । ष॒ष्टिं स॒हस्रानु॒ निर्म॑जामजे॒ निर्यू॒थानि॒ गवा॒मृषिः॑ ॥ (२०)

मुझ मेधातिथि ने कण्वपुत्र तथा हव्य धारण करने वाले मेधातिथि ऋषि द्वारा तथा उनके स्तोताओं द्वारा सेवा करने योग्य और तेजस्वी प्रियमेध नामक ऋषियों द्वारा सेवित परम पवित्र साठ हजार गायों को यज्ञ के अंत में पाया. (२०)
EN English Translation
I found at the end of the yagna the most holy sixty thousand cows served by the sage Of Kanvaputra and the Sage Of Medhatithi, who holds the haavya, and by his stoetas, worthy of service and by the sages named The Glorious Priyamedha. (20)
वृ॒क्षाश्चि॑न्मे अभिपि॒त्वे अ॑रारणुः । गां भ॑जन्त मे॒हनाश्वं॑ भजन्त मे॒हना॑ ॥ (२१)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
मुझे गायरूपी धन मिला तो घोड़ों ने भी प्रसन्नता प्रकट की थी. उनका तात्पर्य यह था कि मेधातिथि ने उत्तम गाएं और घोड़े पाए हैं. (२१)
EN English Translation
When I got the money of cow, the horses also expressed happiness. What he meant was that Medhatithi had got the best cows and horses. (21)
