अ॒भी न॑वन्ते अ॒द्रुहः॑ प्रि॒यमिन्द्र॑स्य॒ काम्य॑म् । व॒त्सं न पूर्व॒ आयु॑नि जा॒तं रि॑हन्ति मा॒तरः॑ ॥ (१)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
गाएं जिस प्रकार प्रथम अवस्था में उत्पन्न बछड़े को चाटती हैं, उसी प्रकार द्रोहरहित जल इंद्र के प्रिय एवं सुंदर सोम के पास जाते हैं. (१)
EN English Translation
Just as the cows lick the calf produced in the first stage, the water without desolation goes to Indra's beloved and beautiful Som. (1)
पु॒ना॒न इ॑न्द॒वा भ॑र॒ सोम॑ द्वि॒बर्ह॑सं र॒यिम् । त्वं वसू॑नि पुष्यसि॒ विश्वा॑नि दा॒शुषो॑ गृ॒हे ॥ (२)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे दीप्तिशाली एवं शुद्ध होते हुए सोम! तुम हमारे लिए दोनों लोकों में बढ़ने वाला धन लाओ एवं यजमान के घर में रहकर उसके पृथ्वी संबंधी एवं दिव्य धन को पुष्ट करो. (२)
EN English Translation
O glorious and pure Mon! Bring us the wealth that grows in both the realms and stay in the house of the host and confirm his earthly and divine wealth. (2)
त्वं धियं॑ मनो॒युजं॑ सृ॒जा वृ॒ष्टिं न त॑न्य॒तुः । त्वं वसू॑नि॒ पार्थि॑वा दि॒व्या च॑ सोम पुष्यसि ॥ (३)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे सोम! तुम अपने मन के समान वेग वाली सोम की धारा को पात्रों में उसी प्रकार गिराओ. जिस प्रकार मेघ वर्षा करते हैं. तुम धरती संबंधी एवं दिव्य धनों को बढ़ाते हो. (३)
EN English Translation
Hey Mon! You drop the stream of som with the same velocity as your mind in the characters. The way the clouds rain. You increase the earthly and divine wealth. (3)
परि॑ ते जि॒ग्युषो॑ यथा॒ धारा॑ सु॒तस्य॑ धावति । रंह॑माणा॒ व्य१॒॑व्ययं॒ वारं॑ वा॒जीव॑ सान॒सिः ॥ (४)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे निचुड़े हुए सोम! स्तोताओं द्वारा सेवा योग्य एवं वेग वाली तुम्हारी धारा भेड़ के बालों से बने दशापवित्र पर इस प्रकार दौड़ती है, जैसे शत्रुंजयी वीर का घोड़ा दौड़ता है. (४)
EN English Translation
O unsettled Mon! Your stream, serviceable and fastened by the Psalms, runs on the dasapavitra made of sheep's hair in such a way as the horse of the enemy hero runs. (4)
क्रत्वे॒ दक्षा॑य नः कवे॒ पव॑स्व सोम॒ धार॑या । इन्द्रा॑य॒ पात॑वे सु॒तो मि॒त्राय॒ वरु॑णाय च ॥ (५)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे इंद्र, मित्र और वरुण के पान हेतु निचुड़े हुए तथा क्रांतदर्शी सोम! तुम हमें ज्ञान और बल देने के लिए धारा के रूप में नीचे गिरो. (५)
EN English Translation
O Indra, the friend and Varuna's paan, the wandering and the revolutionary soma! You give us knowledge and force to fall down as stream. (5)
पव॑स्व वाज॒सात॑मः प॒वित्रे॒ धार॑या सु॒तः । इन्द्रा॑य सोम॒ विष्ण॑वे दे॒वेभ्यो॒ मधु॑मत्तमः ॥ (६)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे अतिशय अन्नदाता एवं निचुड़े हुए सोम! तुम धारा के रूप में नीचे गिरो एवं इंद्र, विष्णु आदि देवों के लिए मधुरतम बनो. (६)
EN English Translation
O very annadata and a deserted Mon! You fall down as stream and become the sweetest to the gods like Indra, Vishnu etc. (6)
त्वां रि॑हन्ति मा॒तरो॒ हरिं॑ प॒वित्रे॑ अ॒द्रुहः॑ । व॒त्सं जा॒तं न धे॒नवः॒ पव॑मान॒ विध॑र्मणि ॥ (७)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे पवमान सोम! पैदा हुए बछड़ों को जिस प्रकार गाएं चाटती हैं, उसी प्रकार हव्यधारक यज्ञ में द्रोहरहित एवं माताओं के समान जल हरे रंग वाले तुमको चाटते हैं. (७)
EN English Translation
O Lord Mon! Just as cows lick the born calves, in the same way, the devotees lick you in the yagya without treason and water green like mothers. (7)
पव॑मान॒ महि॒ श्रव॑श्चि॒त्रेभि॑र्यासि र॒श्मिभिः॑ । शर्ध॒न्तमां॑सि जिघ्नसे॒ विश्वा॑नि दा॒शुषो॑ गृ॒हे ॥ (८)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे सोम! तुम अपनी नानाविध किरणों के साथ महान् और आश्रययोग्य अंतरिक्ष में जाते हो. हे वेगशाली सोम! तुम हविदाता यजमान के घर में ठहर कर अंधकाररूपी सभी राक्षसों को समाप्त करते हो. (८)
EN English Translation
O Mon! You go into great and shelterable space with your various rays. O fast mon! You stay in the house of the havitata host and eliminate all the demons in the form of darkness. (8)
त्वं द्यां च॑ महिव्रत पृथि॒वीं चाति॑ जभ्रिषे । प्रति॑ द्रा॒पिम॑मुञ्चथाः॒ पव॑मान महित्व॒ना ॥ (९)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे महान् कर्म वाले सोम! तुम द्यावा-पृथिवी को ठीक से धारण करते हो. हे पवमान सोम! तुम महत्त्व से युक्त होकर कवच धारण करते हो. (९)
EN English Translation
O mon of great deeds! You hold the earth properly. O Pawman Mon! You wear armor with importance. (9)
