पर्यू॒ षु प्र ध॑न्व॒ वाज॑सातये॒ परि॑ वृ॒त्राणि॑ स॒क्षणिः॑ । द्वि॒षस्त॒रध्या॑ ऋण॒या न॑ ईयसे ॥ (१)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे सोम! तुम अन्न पाने के लिए युद्ध में जाओ. हे सहनशील सोम! तुम शत्रुओं के पास जाओ. तुम हमारे अंगों के विनाशक बनकर शत्रुओं को मारने के लिए जाओ. (१)
EN English Translation
Hey Mon! You go to war to get food. O tolerant Mon! You go to the enemies. You go to kill enemies by becoming the destroyer of our limbs. (1)
अनु॒ हि त्वा॑ सु॒तं सो॑म॒ मदा॑मसि म॒हे स॑मर्य॒राज्ये॑ । वाजा॑ँ अ॒भि प॑वमान॒ प्र गा॑हसे ॥ (२)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे निचुड़े हुए सोम! हमारे ऋत्विज् तुम्हारी स्तुति करते हैं. हे शुद्ध होते हुए सोम! तुम अपने महान् राज्य में मनुष्यों का पालन करने के लिए शत्रुओं की सेना की ओर जाते हो. (२)
EN English Translation
O unsettled Mon! Our rituals praise you. O you are pure, Mon! You go to the army of enemies to follow men in your great kingdom. (2)
अजी॑जनो॒ हि प॑वमान॒ सूर्यं॑ वि॒धारे॒ शक्म॑ना॒ पयः॑ । गोजी॑रया॒ रंह॑माणः॒ पुरं॑ध्या ॥ (३)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे शुद्ध होते हुए सोम! तुमने जलधारण करने वाले अंतरिक्ष में अपने बल से सूर्य को उत्पन्न किया है. तुम स्तोताओं को गाएं देने वाले, ज्ञानों से युक्त एवं वेगशाली हो. (३)
EN English Translation
O you are pure, Mon! You have created the sun by your force in the water-holding space. You are the ones who sing to the hymns, full of knowledge and are swift. (3)
अजी॑जनो अमृत॒ मर्त्ये॒ष्वाँ ऋ॒तस्य॒ धर्म॑न्न॒मृत॑स्य॒ चारु॑णः । सदा॑सरो॒ वाज॒मच्छा॒ सनि॑ष्यदत् ॥ (४)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे मरणरहित सोम! तुमने सच्चे एवं कल्याणकारी जल को धारण करने वाले अंतरिक्ष में सूर्य को इसलिए उत्पन्न किया था कि वह मनुष्यों के सामने जा सके. तुम सबकी सेवा करते हुए सदा संग्राम की ओर जाते हो. (४)
EN English Translation
O mortal Mon! You created the sun in space that holds true and good water so that it could go before man. You always go to the struggle while serving everyone. (4)
अ॒भ्य॑भि॒ हि श्रव॑सा त॒तर्दि॒थोत्सं॒ न कं चि॑ज्जन॒पान॒मक्षि॑तम् । शर्या॑भि॒र्न भर॑माणो॒ गभ॑स्त्योः ॥ (५)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे सोम! जिस प्रकार कोई मनुष्य दूसरे लोगों के पानी पीने के लिए नित्यजल वाला तालाब खोदता है अथवा कोई भुजाओं की दसों उंगलियों से अंजलि बना कर जल भरता है, उसी प्रकार तुम अन्नप्राप्ति के लिए दशापवित्र को पार करके जाते हो. (५)
EN English Translation
Hey Mon! Just as a man digs a pond with regular water to drink other people's water, or someone fills the water by making an anjali with ten fingers of the arms, so you cross the dashapavitra to get food. (5)
आदीं॒ के चि॒त्पश्य॑मानास॒ आप्यं॑ वसु॒रुचो॑ दि॒व्या अ॒भ्य॑नूषत । वारं॒ न दे॒वः स॑वि॒ता व्यू॑र्णुते ॥ (६)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
दीप्तिशाली सूर्य तब तक अंधकार भी नहीं हटा पाए थे कि तभी सूर्य को देखने वाले एवं दिव्य वसुरुच नामक लोगों ने अपने मित्र सोम की स्तुति आरंभ कर दी थी. (६)
EN English Translation
The bright sun could not even remove the darkness until then that the people who saw the sun and named The Divine Vasurucha started praising their friend Soma. (6)
त्वे सो॑म प्रथ॒मा वृ॒क्तब॑र्हिषो म॒हे वाजा॑य॒ श्रव॑से॒ धियं॑ दधुः । स त्वं नो॑ वीर वी॒र्या॑य चोदय ॥ (७)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे सोम! प्राचीन एवं यज्ञ के निमित्त कुश तोड़ने वाले यजमानों ने महान् बल और अन्न पाने के लिए तुम में अपनी बुद्धि को धारण किया था. हे वीर सोम! तुम संग्राम में बल प्रदर्शन के लिए हमें भी भेजो. (७)
EN English Translation
Hey Mon! The ancient and the yajmas who broke the Kush for the sake of yajna had instilled in you their wisdom in order to get the great power and the food. O Veer Mon! You also send us for the force demonstration in sangram. (7)
दि॒वः पी॒यूषं॑ पू॒र्व्यं यदु॒क्थ्यं॑ म॒हो गा॒हाद्दि॒व आ निर॑धुक्षत । इन्द्र॑म॒भि जाय॑मानं॒ सम॑स्वरन् ॥ (८)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
लोग स्वर्ग से पीने योग्य, प्राचीन व प्रशंसनीय सोम को महान् तथा गहन अंतरिक्ष के अभिमुख होकर दुहते हैं. स्तोता इंद्र को लक्ष्य करके उत्पन्न सोम की स्तुति करते हैं. (८)
EN English Translation
People milk the drinkable, ancient and admirable mon from heaven facing the great and deep space. The stotas praise the som created by targeting Indra. (8)
अध॒ यदि॒मे प॑वमान॒ रोद॑सी इ॒मा च॒ विश्वा॒ भुव॑ना॒भि म॒ज्मना॑ । यू॒थे न नि॒ष्ठा वृ॑ष॒भो वि ति॑ष्ठसे ॥ (९)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे शुद्ध होते हुए सोम! तुम इस द्यावा-पृथिवी, लोकों एवं सभी प्राणियों पर अपने बल से इस प्रकार अधिकार कर लेते हो, जिस प्रकार कोई बैल गायों के झुंड का अधिकारी बन जाता है. (९)
EN English Translation
O you are pure, Mon! You take over this earth, the people, and all beings by your own force, just as a bull becomes the possessor of a herd of cows. (9)
सोमः॑ पुना॒नो अ॒व्यये॒ वारे॒ शिशु॒र्न क्रीळ॒न्पव॑मानो अक्षाः । स॒हस्र॑धारः श॒तवा॑ज॒ इन्दुः॑ ॥ (१०)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हजारों धाराओं वाले, सैकड़ों शक्तियों से युक्त, दीप्तिशाली एवं छनते हुए सोम भेड़ के बालों से बने दशापवित्र पर बच्चे के समान खेल करते हैं. (१०)
EN English Translation
With thousands of streams, with hundreds of powers, the radiant and filtered Mons play like a child on dasapavittra made of sheep's hair. (10)
ए॒ष पु॑ना॒नो मधु॑माँ ऋ॒तावेन्द्रा॒येन्दुः॑ पवते स्वा॒दुरू॒र्मिः । वा॒ज॒सनि॑र्वरिवो॒विद्व॑यो॒धाः ॥ (११)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
शुद्ध होते हुए, मधुरता युक्त, यज्ञ वाले, दीप्तिशाली, निचुड़ने वाले, स्वादिष्ट रस धारा के समूहरूप, अन्न के दाता, धन लाभ कराने वाले एवं आयु देने वाले सोम इंद्र के लिए छनते हैं. (११)
EN English Translation
While being pure, sweet, sacrificial, radiant, squeezing, a group of delicious ras streams, the giver of food, the giver of wealth and the life-giver, Soma, who gives life, is filtered for Indra. (11)
स प॑वस्व॒ सह॑मानः पृत॒न्यून्सेध॒न्रक्षां॒स्यप॑ दु॒र्गहा॑णि । स्वा॒यु॒धः सा॑स॒ह्वान्सो॑म॒ शत्रू॑न् ॥ (१२)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे सोम! तुम युद्धाभिलाषी शत्रुओं को हराते हुए, दुर्गम राक्षसों को दूर भगाते हुए एवं शोभन आयुध धारा करके शत्रुओं को दुःखी करते हुए शुद्ध बनो. (१२)
EN English Translation
Hey Mon! Be pure, defeating the war-ridden enemies, driving away the inaccessible demons, and grieving the enemies by streaming the aura. (12)
