ए॒ष प्र कोशे॒ मधु॑माँ अचिक्रद॒दिन्द्र॑स्य॒ वज्रो॒ वपु॑षो॒ वपु॑ष्टरः । अ॒भीमृ॒तस्य॑ सु॒दुघा॑ घृत॒श्चुतो॑ वा॒श्रा अ॑र्षन्ति॒ पय॑सेव धे॒नवः॑ ॥ (१)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
इंद्र के वज्र के समान, मधुर रस युक्त एवं बीजों को बोने वालों में श्रेष्ठ सोम द्रोणकलश में शब्द करते हैं. फलों का दोहन करने वाली, जल बरसाने वाली एवं शब्द करने वाली सोमकिरणें रंभाती हुई गायों के समान जाती हैं. (१)
EN English Translation
Like indra's thunderbolt, the best of those who have sweet juices and sow seeds, som speaks the word in dronakalash. Fruit-tapping, water-pouring and word-making somkirans are like ramming cows. (1)
स पू॒र्व्यः प॑वते॒ यं दि॒वस्परि॑ श्ये॒नो म॑था॒यदि॑षि॒तस्ति॒रो रजः॑ । स मध्व॒ आ यु॑वते॒ वेवि॑जान॒ इत्कृ॒शानो॒रस्तु॒र्मन॒साह॑ बि॒भ्युषा॑ ॥ (२)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
प्राचीन सोम निचुड़ते हैं. अपनी माता के द्वारा भेजा हुआ बाज पक्षी सोम को स्वर्ग से लाया था. सोम अपने मधुर रस को तीनों लोकों से अलग करते हैं. कृशानु नाम वाले धनुषधारी के बाणों से डरकर सोम इधर-उधर जाते हुए मधुर रस के साथ मिलते हैं. (२)
EN English Translation
The ancient mons are nichud. The hawk bird sent by his mother had brought Som from heaven. Mon separates his sweet juice from the three lokas. Afraid of the arrows of a bow-bearing named Krishnanu, Som goes around and meets with sweet juice. (2)
ते नः॒ पूर्वा॑स॒ उप॑रास॒ इन्द॑वो म॒हे वाजा॑य धन्वन्तु॒ गोम॑ते । ई॒क्षे॒ण्या॑सो अ॒ह्यो॒३॒॑ न चार॑वो॒ ब्रह्म॑ब्रह्म॒ ये जु॑जु॒षुर्ह॒विर्ह॑विः ॥ (३)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
स्त्रियों के समान दर्शनीय, रमणीय, हव्य का भक्षण करने वाले, प्राचीन तथा आधुनिक सोम मुझ महान् गोस्वामी के पास अन्न पाने के लिए आवें. (३)
EN English Translation
Like women, let's come to the great Goswami to get food, as spectacular, delightful, devout of the human being, the ancient and modern Mon. (3)
अ॒यं नो॑ वि॒द्वान्व॑नवद्वनुष्य॒त इन्दुः॑ स॒त्राचा॒ मन॑सा पुरुष्टु॒तः । इ॒नस्य॒ यः सद॑ने॒ गर्भ॑माद॒धे गवा॑मुरु॒ब्जम॒भ्यर्ष॑ति व्र॒जम् ॥ (४)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
बहुत से लोगों द्वारा प्रशंसित व अग्नि की उत्तरवेदी पर वर्तमान सोम हमें मारने वाले शत्रुओं को जानकर मारें. सोम ओषधियों में गर्भ धारण करते हैं एवं हमारी दुधारू गायों के समूह की ओर जाते हैं. (४)
EN English Translation
Admired by many people and killed by the present Mon on the North-Vedi of Fire, knowing the enemies who killed us. Som conceives in the herbs and leads to our group of milch cows. (4)
चक्रि॑र्दि॒वः प॑वते॒ कृत्व्यो॒ रसो॑ म॒हाँ अद॑ब्धो॒ वरु॑णो हु॒रुग्य॒ते । असा॑वि मि॒त्रो वृ॒जने॑षु य॒ज्ञियोऽत्यो॒ न यू॒थे वृ॑ष॒युः कनि॑क्रदत् ॥ (५)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
सब कर्मो के कर्त्ता, कर्मकुशल, रसात्मक, अधिक गुण वाले व अपराजेय सोम इधर- उधर जाते हैं. विपत्ति आने पर सबके मित्र सोम शब्द करते हुए इस प्रकार बरसते हैं, जिस प्रकार घोड़ा घोड़ियों में जाता है. (५)
EN English Translation
The creator of all the karmas, the karma-efficient, the rasatika, the more virtuous and unbeatable Som goes here and there. When there is a calamity, everyone's friends shower the word 'Som' in this way, just as the horse goes into the horses. (5)
