अग्निं वो वृधन्तमध्वराणां पुरूतमम् । अच्छा नप्त्रे सहस्वते ॥ (१)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे यजमानो! अग्नि अकूत शक्ति के भंडार हैं. वह बढ़ोतरी करने वाले व श्रेष्ठतम हैं. आप सभी अग्नि के निकट पहुंचिए. (१)
EN English Translation
O hosts! Agni is a storehouse of immense power. He is the grower and the best. You all get close to the agni. (1)
अयं यथा न आभुवत्त्वष्टा रूपेव तक्ष्या । अस्य क्रत्वा यशस्वतः ॥ (२)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे यजमानो! त्वष्टा (बढ़ई) जैसे लकड़ी को रूप (आकार) प्रदान करते हैं, तदवत (उसी प्रकार) अग्नि हमें यश और स्वरूप प्रदान करते हैं. (२)
EN English Translation
O hosts! Just as tvashta (carpenter) gives form (shape) to wood, tadavat (similarly) agni gives us fame and form. (2)
अयं विश्वा अभि श्रियोऽग्निर्देवेषु पत्यते । आ वाजैरुप नो गमत् ॥ (३)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे अग्नि! आप सभी सुख व देवताओं को भी संरक्षण प्रदान करते हैं. आप अन्नबल के साथ हमारे समीप पधारने की कृपा कीजिए. (३)
EN English Translation
O agni! You also provide protection to all happiness and gods. Please come to us with food. (3)
इममिन्द्र सुतं पिब ज्येष्ठममर्त्यं मदम् । शुक्रस्य त्वाभ्यक्षरन्धारा ऋतस्य सादने ॥ (४)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे इंद्र! यज्ञ में सोमरस की मददायी बड़ीबड़ी चमकीली धाराएं झर रही हैं. आप यज्ञ सदन में पधारिए और सोमरस को पीजिए. (४)
EN English Translation
O Indra! In the yajna, large bright streams are flowing to the mad of Someras. You come to the Yagya Sadan and drink someras. (4)
न किष्ट्वद्रथीतरो हरी यदिन्द्र यच्छसे । न किष्ट्वानु मज्मना न किः स्वश्व आनशे ॥ (५)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे इंद्र! आप जैसा कोई अन्य वीर है ही नहीं, न ही आप जैसा कोई घोड़ों का पालनहार, न ही घोड़ों का स्वामी, न ही आप जैसा कोई बलवान है. आप घोड़ों से चलने वाले रथ में विराजते हैं. (५)
EN English Translation
O Indra! There is no other hero like you, no horse keeper like you, nor the master of horses, nor is there anyone as strong as you. You sit in a horse-driven chariot. (5)
इन्द्राय नूनमर्चतोक्थानि च ब्रवीतन । सुता अमत्सुरिन्दवो ज्येष्ठं नमस्यता सहः ॥ (६)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे यजमानो! आप निश्चित रूप से इंद्र की ही पूजा कीजिए. आप उन के लिए प्रार्थना गाइए. इंद्र देवों में ज्येष्ठ (बड़े) हैं. आप अपने पुत्रों सहित उन्हें नमन कीजिए. (६)
EN English Translation
O hosts! You must worship Indra. You sing prayers for them. Indra is the eldest of the gods. You bow down to them along with your sons. (6)
इन्द्र जुषस्व प्र वहा याहि शूर हरिह । पिबा सुतस्य मतिर्न मधोश्चकानश्चारुर्मदाय ॥ (७)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे इंद्र! आप शूरवीर व घोड़ों के स्वामी हैं. आप आइए. आप के पुत्र (यजमान) आप को प्रसन्न करने के लिए सोमरस भेंट कर रहे हैं. आप उस मधुर सोमरस को पीने की कृपा कीजिए. (७)
EN English Translation
O Indra! You are a knight and a master of horses. You come. Your son (host) is offering Someras to please you. Please drink that sweet someras. (7)
इन्द्र जठरं नव्यं न पृणस्व मधोर्दिवो न । अस्य सुतस्य स्वा३र्नोप त्वा मदाः सुवाचो अस्थुः ॥ (८)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे इंद्र! आप जैसे अपने दिव्यलोक में अपने पुत्रों की प्रार्थनाओं को सुन कर प्रसन्न होते हैं, वैसे ही आप मधुर दिव्य सोमरस को पी कर प्रसन्न होने की कृपा कीजिए. (८)
EN English Translation
O Indra! Just as you are happy to listen to the prayers of your sons in your divine land, please be happy by drinking the sweet divine Someras. (8)
इन्द्रस्तुराषाण्मित्रो न जघान वृत्रं यतिर्न । बिभेद वलं भृगुर्न ससाहे शत्रून्मदे सोमस्य ॥ (९)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे इंद्र! आप दुश्मनों के नाशक व शत्रुजित् हैं. भृगु ऋषि ने जिस प्रकार वल राक्षस को मार गिराया, उसी प्रकार सोमरस पान से ऊर्जस्वी हो कर आप भी हमारे शत्रुओं को मार गिराएं. (९)
EN English Translation
O Indra! You are the destroyer and enemy of enemies. Just as Bhrigu Rishi killed the demon Val, in the same way, you should also kill our enemies by being energetic with someras paan. (9)
