एष कविरभिष्टुतः पवित्रे अधि तोशते । पुनानो घ्नन्नप द्विषः ॥ (१)

कवि और ज्ञानी सोमरस की उपासना करते हैं. यह पाप (रोग) नाशक, स्फूर्तिदायी और तृप्तिदायी है. इस का रस कूट कर निकाला जाता है. (१)
EN English Translation
Poets and knowledgeable people worship Someras. This sin (disease) is destructive, energizing and satiating. The juice of this is extracted by crushing. (1)
एष इन्द्राय वायवे स्वर्जित्परि षिच्यते । पवित्रे दक्षसाधनः ॥ (२)

सोम इंद्र और वायु के लिए छन कर नीचे भूलोक पर पधारते हैं. वे पवित्र और स्वर्गिक सुखदाता हैं. (२)
EN English Translation
Som filters for Indra and Vayu and comes down to the earth. They are holy and heavenly comforters. (2)
एष नृभिर्वि नीयते दिवो मूर्धा वृषा सुतः । सोमो वनेषु विश्ववित् ॥ (३)

सोम सर्वज्ञाता, शक्तिशाली और सर्वश्रेष्ठ हैं. मनुष्य (यजमान) इन्हें वन में वन की उपयोगी वस्तुओं और ओषध के रूप में पाते हैं. (३)
EN English Translation
Som is omniscient, powerful and the best. Humans (hosts) find them in the forest as useful objects and weapons of the forest. (3)
एष गव्युरचिक्रदत्पवमानो हिरण्ययुः । इन्दुः सत्राजिदस्तृतः ॥ (४)

सोम का स्वरूप रसीला व स्फूर्तिदायी हैं. वे सर्वज्ञाता हैं. मनुष्य लकड़ी के बने बरतनों से इन्हें यज्ञ में ले जाते हैं. (४)
EN English Translation
The form of Som is succulent and invigorating. They are omniscient. Humans take them to the yagna with wooden utensils. (4)
एष शुष्म्यसिष्यददन्तरिक्षे वृषा हरिः । पुनान इन्दुरिन्द्रमा ॥ (५)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
सोम अंतरिक्ष में शोभित होते हैं. ये घोड़े की तरह बलवान और हरे हैं. ये छलनी में छनते हैं. ये सादर इंद्र के पास जाते हैं. (५)
EN English Translation
Som graces space. They are as strong and green as horses. They filter in the sieve. They go to Indra. (5)
एष शुष्म्यदाभ्यः सोमः पुनानो अर्षति । देवावीरघशँसहा ॥ (६)

सोम देवताओं के रक्षक, पापियों के संहारक, अविनाशी और दिव्य और वे कलश में विराजते हैं. (६)
EN English Translation
Soma is the protector of the gods, the destroyer of sinners, the indestructible and the divine and he sits in the kalash. (6)
