सोम पर्वत पर निवास करते हैं. वे पर्वत पृथ्वी की नाभि पर स्थित हैं और उन के पत्ते खूब बड़ेबड़े होते हैं. बरसने वाले बादल उन के पिता हैं. वे गाय के दूध, पानी और स्तुतियों से यज्ञ स्थल पर पधार वहां प्रतिष्ठित होते हैं. (८)

Som resides on Mount. Those mountains are located on the navel of the earth and their leaves are very big. The rain clouds are their father. They come to the yajna site with cow's milk, water and eulogies and are revered there. (8)
