त्यमू षु वाजिनं देवजूतँ सहोवानं तरुतारँ रथानाम् । अरिष्टनेमिं पृतनाजमाशुँ स्वस्तये तार्क्ष्यमिहा हुवेम ॥ (१)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे यजमानो! हम अपने कल्याण के लिए ताक्ष्य (गरुड़) का आह्वान करते हैं. वे देवदूत और बलवान हैं. वे युद्धों में हमारा भला कर सकते हैं. वे शत्रुजित् व अबाध गति वाले हैं. वे बहुत तेज गति से उड़ने में समर्थ हैं. (१)
EN English Translation
O hosts! We invoke Takshya (Garuda) for our welfare. They are angels and strong. They can do us good in wars. They are hostile and uninhibited. They are capable of flying at a very fast speed. (1)
त्रातारमिन्द्रमवितारमिन्द्रँ हवेहवे सुहवँ शूरमिन्द्रम् । हुवे नु शक्रं पुरुहूतमिन्द्रमिदँ हविर्मघवा वेत्विन्द्रः ॥ (२)

हे यजमानो! हम अपने कल्याण के लिए इंद्र का आह्वान करते हैं. वे हमारे त्राता (रक्षक), सहायक, शक्तिशाली व सक्षम हैं. वे बहुत से उपासकों द्वारा स्तुत्य (उपासना योग्य) और धनवान हैं. वे हवि के अन्न को ग्रहण करने की कृपा करें. (२)
EN English Translation
O hosts! We invoke Indra for our welfare. They are our protectors, helpers, powerful and capable. They are praiseworthy (worshipable) and wealthy by many worshippers. Please may they take Havi's food. (2)
यजामह इन्द्रं वज्रदक्षिणँ हरीणाँ रथ्य३ं विव्रतानाम् । प्र श्मश्रुभिर्दोधुवदूर्ध्वधा भुवद्वि सेनाभिर्भयमानो वि राधसा ॥ (३)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे यजमानो! इंद्र हाथ में वज्र धारण करते हैं. वे वेगशील हैं. वे रथ पर विराजमान हैं. वे अपनी दाढ़ीमूंछों से शत्रु को डराने वाले व उपासकों को धनवैभव प्रदान करने वाले हैं. (३)
EN English Translation
O hosts! Indra holds a thunderbolt in his hand. They are progressive. They are sitting on the chariot. They are going to scare the enemy with their beards and wipes and provide wealth to the worshipers. (3)
सत्राहणं दाधृषिं तुम्रमिन्द्रं महामपारं वृशभँ सुवज्रम् । हन्ता यो वृत्रँ सनितोत वाजं दाता मघानि मघवा सुराधाः ॥ (४)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे यजमानो! इंद्र शत्रुओं के जत्थों के नाशक हैं. उन्हें भयभीत करने वाले हैं. इंद्र बहुत शक्तिमान हैं. वे वज्रधारी, वृत्रनाशक, अन्नदाता व यजमानों को धन देने वाले हैं. (४)
EN English Translation
O hosts! Indra is the destroyer of the batches of enemies. They are going to scare them. Indra is very powerful. They are going to give money to vajradhari, vritrashak, annadata and hosts. (4)
यो नो वनुष्यन्नभिदाति मर्त उगणा वा मन्यमानस्तुरो वा । क्षिधी युधा शवसा वा तमिन्द्राभी ष्याम वृषमणस्त्वोताः ॥ (५)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे इंद्र! आप हमारी रक्षा कीजिए. आप की कृपा से हम शत्रुओं को हरा सकें. हम शत्रुओं को मारने के इच्छुक हैं. हम मारक अस्त्रशस्त्र के साथ आक्रमण करने के लिए तैयार हैं. हम दृढ़ निश्चय वाले हैं. (५)
EN English Translation
O Indra! You protect us. By your grace, we can defeat the enemies. We are willing to kill enemies. We are ready to attack with antidote weapons. We are determined. (5)
यं वृत्रेषु क्षितय स्पर्धमाना यं युक्तेषु तुरयन्तो हवन्ते । यँ शूरसातौ यमपामुपज्मन्यं विप्रासो वाजयन्ते स इन्द्रः ॥ (६)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे इंद्र! यजमान युद्ध में सहायता के लिए आप को पुकारते हैं. आप उन की पुकार सुनते हैं. आप अस्त्रशस्त्र वाले योद्धाओं के बुलाने पर उन की सहायता करते हैं. जल वर्षा के लिए आप से ही निवेदन किया जाता है. ब्राह्मणगण आप को ही हवि समर्पित करते हैं. (६)
EN English Translation
O Indra! The hosts call on you for assistance in the war. You hear their call. You help armed warriors when they call them. You are requested for water rain. Brahmins dedicate havi to you. (6)
इन्द्रापर्वता बृहता रथेन वामीरिष आ वहतँ सुवीराः । वीतँ हव्यान्यध्वरेषु देवा वर्धेथां गीर्भीरिडया मदन्ता ॥ (७)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे इंद्र! आप पर्वतवासी, विशाल रथ वाले एवं उपासना योग्य हैं. अच्छी संतान वाले यजमान आप को हवि भेंट करते हैं. आप उस हवि का भोग लगाते हैं. आप उस हवि से प्रसन्न होते हैं. आप हमारी प्रार्थनाओं से और यशस्वी बनिए. आप हमें अन्न प्रदान करने की कृपा कीजिए. (७)
EN English Translation
O Indra! You are a mountain dweller, a huge chariot and a worshipper. Hosts with good children offer you havi. You enjoy that havi. You are happy with that havi. May you be more successful with our prayers. Please provide us food. (7)
इन्द्राय गिरो अनिशितसर्गा अपः प्रैरयत्सगरस्य बुध्नात् । यो अक्षेणेव चक्रियौ शचीभिर्विष्वक्तस्तम्भ पृथिवीमुत द्याम् ॥ (८)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे इंद्र! आप ने अपने सामर्थ्य से स्वर्गलोक और पृथ्वीलोक को उसी तरह घेर रखा है, जैसे लोहे की पट्टी चारों ओर से पहिए को घेरे रखती हैं. हमारी प्रार्थनाएं अंतरिक्ष से जल बरसाने की सामर्थ्य रखती हैं. (८)
EN English Translation
O Indra! You have surrounded heaven and earth with your power, just as iron bars surround the wheel from all sides. Our prayers have the power to rain water from space. (8)
आ त्वा सखायः सख्या ववृत्युस्तिरः पुरू चिदर्णवां जगम्याः । पितुर्नपातमा दधित वेधा अस्मिन्क्षये प्रतरां दीद्यानः ॥ (९)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे इंद्र! आप अंतरिक्षलोक में मौजूद हैं. हम आप के मित्र हैं. हम उत्तम प्रार्थनाओं से आप का आह्वान करते हैं. आप के प्रभाव और कृपा से हमें पुत्र और पौत्रों की प्राप्ति हो. (९)
EN English Translation
O Indra! You exist in space. We are your friends. We call upon you with the best prayers. With your influence and grace, we get sons and grandsons. (9)
को अद्य युङ्क्ते धुरि गा ऋतस्य शिमीवतो भामिनो दुर्हृणायून् । आसन्नेषामप्सुवाहो मयोभून्य एषां भृत्यामृणधत्स जीवात् ॥ (१०)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे इंद्र! आप के अलावा आप के रथ में इन घोड़ों को जोत सकने की किस की सामर्थ्य है? आप के घोड़े रथ की धुरी की सहायता से गति पाते हैं, क्षमतावान हैं. आप शत्रुओं पर क्रोध करने वाले व सुखदायी हैं. आप के घोड़ों का भृत्य (भरणपोषण करने वाला) ही जीवन धारण करता है. (१०)
EN English Translation
O Indra! Apart from you, who has the ability to till these horses in your chariot? Your horses are capable, get speed with the help of the axis of the chariot. You are angry and happy with enemies. Only the one who feeds your horses takes life. (10)
