प्रत्यु अदर्श्यायत्यू३च्छन्ती दुहिता दिवः । अपो मही वृणुते चक्षुषा तमो ज्योतिष्कृणोति सूनरि ॥ (१)

अंधेरे को दूर कर के आती हुई सूर्य की पुत्री उषा सब को दिखाई दे रही है. वह अपने प्रकाश से घनघोर अंधेरे को दूर कर देती है. (१)
EN English Translation
Usha, the daughter of the sun, is visible to everyone, coming away from the darkness. She removes the dark darkness with her light. (1)
इमा उ वां दिविष्टय उस्रा हवन्ते अश्विना । अयं वामह्वेऽवसे शचीवसू विशंविशँ हि गच्छथः ॥ (२)

हे अश्विनीकुमारो! प्रकाश चाहने वाले यजमान आप को बुलाते हैं. मैं भी कर्म को धन मानने वाले आप को बुलाता हूं. हम अपनी रक्षा के लिए आप दोनों को बुलाते हैं. हम आप दोनों को तृप्त (प्रसन्न) करने के लिए बुलाते हैं. आप स्तुति करने वाले हर एक यजमान के पास पधारते हो. (२)
EN English Translation
O Ashwinikumaro! The hosts who want light call you. I also call you who consider karma as wealth. We call both of you to protect us. We call you both to satisfy (please). You come to every host who praises you. (2)
कु ष्ठः को वामश्विना तपानो देवा मर्त्यः । घ्नता वामश्मया क्षपमाणोँशुनेत्थमु आदुन्यथा ॥ (३)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे अश्विनीकुमारो! आप प्रकाश वाले हैं. इस पृथ्वी पर रहने वाला कौन आप को प्रकाशित कर सकता है. जो यजमान आप के लिए पत्थरों से सोम कूटकूट कर थक जाता है, वह राजा के समान इच्छानुसार भोग करने वाला होता है. (३)
EN English Translation
O Ashwinikumaro! You're light. Who lives on this earth can illuminate you. The host who gets tired of doing soma with stones for you, he is going to enjoy as per the wish of the king. (3)
अयं वां मधुमत्तमः सुतः सोमो दिविष्टिषु । तमश्विना पिबतं तिरो अह्न्यं धत्तँ रत्नानि दाशुषे ॥ (४)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे अश्विनीकुमारो! आप के लिए होने वाले यज्ञों में यह मीठा सोमरस तैयार किया गया है. यह सोमरस हम ने एक दिन पहले तैयार किया है. आप इस का सेवन कीजिए. आप हवि देने वाले यजमान को श्रेष्ठ धन प्रदान कीजिए. (४)
EN English Translation
O Ashwinikumaro! This sweet someras has been prepared in the yagyas for you. This somersus we prepared the day before. You consume it. You give the best money to the host who gives the promise. (4)
आ त्वा सोमस्य गल्दया सदा याचन्नहं ज्या । भूर्णिं मृगं न सवनेषु चुक्रुधं क ईशानं न याचिषत् ॥ (५)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे इंद्र! आप शेर के समान शक्तिशाली हैं. आप भरणपोषण करने में समर्थ हैं. हम आप को यज्ञ में सोमरस प्रदान करते हैं. हम विजय दिलाने वाली प्रार्थना से आप से याचना करते हैं. आप हम पर गुस्सा मत कीजिए. ऐसा कौन व्यक्ति है, जो अपने स्वामी से याचना नहीं करता है. (५)
EN English Translation
O Indra! You are as powerful as a lion. You are able to maintain. We offer you somersas in yajna. We beseech you with a victory prayer. Don't get angry at us. Who is the person who does not plead with his master? (5)
अध्वर्यो द्रावया त्वँ सोममिन्द्रः पिपासति । उपो नूनं युयुजे वृष्णा हरी आ च जगाम वृत्रहा ॥ (६)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे पुरोहित! आप सोमरस को जल्दी तैयार कीजिए. इंद्र जल्दी सोमरस पीना चाहते हैं. उन्होंने अपने घोड़े रथ में जोत लिए हैं. वृत्रासुर का नाश करने वाले इंद्र पहुंच भी गए. (६)
EN English Translation
O priest! You prepare somers early. Indra wants to drink somers early. He has ploughed his horses in the chariot. Indra, who destroyed Vritrasura, also reached. (6)
अभी षतस्तदा भरेन्द्र ज्यायः कनीयसः । पुरूवसुर्हि मघवन्बभूविथ भरेभरे च हव्यः ॥ (७)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे इंद्र! आप सब से बड़े हैं. आप सब ओर से ला कर श्रेष्ठ धन मुझ तुच्छ मनुष्य को प्रदान कीजिए. आप धनवान हैं और युद्ध में सहायता के लिए बुलाने योग्य हैं. (७)
EN English Translation
O Indra! You are the biggest. Bring the best money from all sides and give me the despised man. You are wealthy and worthy of being called to assist in war. (7)
यदिन्द्र यावतस्त्वमेतावदहमीशीय । स्तोतारमिद्दधिषे रदावसो न पापत्वाय रँसिषम् ॥ (८)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे इंद्र! आप जितने धन के स्वामी हैं, हम भी उतने धन के स्वामी हो जाएं. आप धन देने वाले हैं. स्तुति करने वालों को धन देने की इच्छा है. पापियों को धन देने की इच्छा नहीं है. (८)
EN English Translation
O Indra! Let us also become the masters of as much wealth as you are. You are going to give money. There is a desire to give money to those who praise. Sinners do not want to give money. (8)
त्वमिन्द्र प्रतूर्तिष्वभि विश्वा असि स्पृधः । अशस्तिहा जनिता वृत्रतूरसि त्वं तूर्य तरुष्यतः ॥ (९)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे इंद्र! आप युद्धों में शत्रुओं का नाश करते हैं. आप शत्रुओं को बाधा पहुंचाने वाले हैं. आप प्राकृतिक विपत्तियों का नाश करने वाले हैं. आप हमारे शत्रुओं के लिए आपत्तियां पैदा करने वाले हैं. आप दुष्टों के नाशक हैं. (९)
EN English Translation
O Indra! You destroy enemies in wars. You are going to obstruct enemies. You are going to destroy natural calamities. You are going to create objections for our enemies. You are the destroyer of the wicked. (9)
प्र यो रिरिक्ष ओजसा दिवः सदोभ्यस्परि । न त्वा विव्याच रज इन्द्र पार्थिवमति विश्वं ववक्षिथ ॥ (१०)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे इंद्र! स्वर्गलोक में आप की प्रतिष्ठा है. पूरी पृथ्वी का कणकण भी आप को घेर नहीं सकता, व्याप्त नहीं कर सकता. आप पूरे संसार को व्याप्त करने में समर्थ हैं. (१०)
EN English Translation
O Indra! You have a reputation in heaven. Even the particle particle of the whole earth cannot surround you, cannot pervade it. You are capable of pervading the whole world. (10)
