प्रप्र वस्त्रिष्टुभमिषं वन्दद्वीरायेन्दवे । धिया वो मेधसातये पुरन्ध्या विवासति ॥ (१)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे यजमानो! आप वीर इंद्र को हवि प्रदान करो. वे यज्ञ को पूरा करने में बुद्धि से किए गए श्रेष्ठ कार्यो की प्रशंसा व मनोकामनाएं पूरी करते हैं. वे यजमानों का सम्मान करते हैं. (१)
EN English Translation
O hosts! You give the heroic Indra a boost. They praise and fulfill the wishes of the best work done with intelligence in completing the yajna. They respect the hosts. (1)
कश्यपस्य स्वर्विदो यावाहुः सयुजाविति । ययोर्विश्वमपि व्रतं यज्ञं धीरा निचाय्य ॥ (२)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
इंद्र के घोड़े अपनेआप को जानने वाले व सर्वज्ञ हैं. ये घोड़े इंद्र को यज्ञ में ले जाने में लगे रहते हैं. विद्वान् कहते हैं कि यज्ञ में जाने का निश्चय होते ही ये घोड़े अपनेआप रथ में जुत जाते हैं. (२)
EN English Translation
Indra's horses are self-knowing and omniscient. These horses are engaged in taking Indra to the yagna. Scholars say that as soon as they are determined to go to the yagna, these horses automatically get stuck in the chariot. (2)
अर्चत प्रार्चता नरः प्रियमेधासो अर्चत । अर्चन्तु पुत्रका उत पुरमिद्धृष्ण्वर्चत ॥ (३)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे यजमानो! इंद्र आप को अपनी कृपा से ऐसी संतान प्रदान करते हैं, जो यज्ञ में रुचि रखती हों. वे यजमानों की आकांक्षा पूरी करते हैं. वे शत्रुजित् हैं. आप सभी इंद्र की अर्चना कीजिए. (३)
EN English Translation
O hosts! Indra, by his grace, gives you such children, who are interested in yajna. They fulfill the aspirations of the hosts. They are enemies. All of you worship Indra. (3)
उक्थमिन्द्राय शँस्यं वर्धनं पुरुनिःषिधे । शक्रो यथा सुतेषु नो रारणत्सख्येषु च ॥ (४)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे यजमानो! आप क्षमतावान इंद्र के लिए प्रार्थना गाइए. आप उन शत्रुनाशक के लिए रेष्ठ प्रार्थना गाइए. ऐसा करने से हम पर, हमारी संतान पर और हमारे मित्रों पर उन की कृपा होगी. (४)
EN English Translation
O hosts! You sing prayers for the mighty Indra. You sing a prayer for those destroyers. By doing this, they will be kind to us, our children and our friends. (4)
विश्वानरस्य वस्पतिमनानतस्य शवसः । एवैश्च चर्षणीनामूती हुवे रथानाम् ॥ (५)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे मरुदगणो! आप के सैनिकों पर आक्रमण होता है तो इंद्र रक्षा करते हैं. वे शत्रुओं के सैनिकों पर आक्रमण करने वाले हैं. उन को कोई नहीं जीत सकता. हम रथों की रक्षा हेतु उन शक्तिमान को आमंत्रित करते हैं. (५)
EN English Translation
O Marudagano! If your soldiers are attacked, Indra protects. They are going to attack the soldiers of the enemies. No one can win them. We invite those Shaktimaans to protect the chariots. (5)
स घा यस्ते दिवो नरो धिया मर्तस्य शमतः । ऊती स बृहतो दिवो द्विषो अँहो न तरति ॥ (६)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे इंद्र! वह व्यक्ति आप के दिव्य संरक्षण में रहता है. वह व्यक्ति पाप एवं दुश्मनों से रक्षित रहता है, जो व्यक्ति यजमान की प्रभावी प्रार्थनाओं से आप का सखा बन जाता है. (६)
EN English Translation
O Indra! That person lives under the divine protection of you. That person is protected from sin and enemies, the person who becomes your friend with the effective prayers of the host. (6)
विभोष्ट इन्द्र राधसो विभ्वी रातिः शतक्रतो । अथा नो विश्वचर्षणे द्युम्नँ सुदत्र मँहय ॥ (७)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे इंद्र! आप धनवान, सर्वज्ञाता, सैकड़ों यज्ञ करने वाले, विलक्षण महिमाशाली हैं. आप हमें धन दीजिए और संपन्न बनाइए. (७)
EN English Translation
O Indra! You are rich, omniscient, performing hundreds of sacrifices, extraordinarily glorious. You give us money and make it prosperous. (7)
वयश्चित्ते पतत्रिणो द्विपाच्चतुष्पादर्जुनि । उषः प्रारन्नृतूँरनु दिवो अन्तेभ्यस्परि ॥ (८)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे उषा! आप प्रकाशवाली हैं. आप जब उदय हो जाती हैं तो अंतरिक्ष में पक्षी दूरदूर तक उड़ते हैं. पशु भी विचरण करते हैं. मनुष्य भी गतिशील हो जाते हैं. (८)
EN English Translation
O Usha! You are light. When you rise, birds fly far and wide in space. Animals also roam. Humans also become dynamic. (8)
अमी ये देवा स्थन मध्य आ रोचने दिवः । कद्व ऋतं कदमृतं का प्रत्ना व आहुतिः ॥ (९)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे देवगणो! कृपया आप हमें यह बताइए कि जब सूर्योदय होता है और आकाश प्रकाशित हो जाता है तब हमारी प्रार्थना आप तक पहुंचती है या नहीं? हमारी विशेष आहुति को आप पाते हैं या नहीं? (९)
EN English Translation
O God! Please tell us whether our prayers reach you when the sunrise is there and the sky is illuminated or not? Do you find our special sacrifice or not? (9)
ऋचँ साम यजामहे याभ्यां कर्माणि कृण्वते । वि ते सदसि राजतो यज्ञं देवेषु वक्षतः ॥ (१०)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हम यजमान ऋग्वेद और सामवेद के मंत्रों से यज्ञ करते हैं. इन मंत्रों से हम जो कार्य करते हैं, वही इस यज्ञ सदन से देवताओं तक पहुंच पाता है. (१०)
EN English Translation
We perform yajna with the mantras of Yajnaman Rigveda and Samaveda. The work we do with these mantras reaches the gods from this Yagya Sadan. (10)
