स्वादोरित्था विषूवतो मधोः पिबन्ति गौर्यः । या इन्द्रेण सयावरीर्वृष्णा मदन्ति शोभथा वस्वीरनु स्वराज्यम् ॥ (१)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे इंद्र! सूर्य रूप में आप की किरणें आप के साथ शोभित होती हैं. वे किरणें स्वादिष्ट मीठे सोमरस को पीती हैं. वे किरणें स्वराज्य में शोभित होती हैं. (१)
EN English Translation
O Indra! In the form of the sun, your rays adorn with you. Those rays drink delicious sweet somers. Those rays adorn in Swarajya. (1)
इत्था हि सोम इन्मदो ब्रह्म चकार वर्धनम् । शविष्ठ वज्रिन्नोजसा पृथिव्या निः शशा अहिमर्चन्ननु स्वराज्यम् ॥ (२)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे इंद्र! आप वज्रधारी व बलवान हैं. सोमरस गुणी है. इन प्रार्थनाओं में हम ने सोमरस के गुणों का वर्णन किया है. पृथ्वी पर हमारे शत्रुओं का नाश हो. पूरी तरह स्वराज्य की स्थापना हो. (२)
EN English Translation
O Indra! You are vajradhari and strong. Somerus is virtuous. In these prayers, we have described the qualities of Someras. May our enemies be destroyed on earth. Complete self-rule should be established. (2)
इन्द्रो मदाय वावृधे शवसे वृत्रहा नृभिः । तमिन्महत्स्वाजिषूतिमर्भे हवामहे स वाजेषु प्र नोऽविषत् ॥ (३)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे यजमानो! हम यजमान प्रसन्नता और उत्साह की कामना से इंद्र की कीर्ति की बढ़ोतरी करते हैं. छोटेबड़े हर प्रकार के युद्ध में वे हमारी रक्षा करते हैं. रक्षा के लिए उन का आह्वान करते हैं. वे युद्ध में हमारी रक्षा करें. (३)
EN English Translation
O hosts! We, the hosts, increase indra's fame with the wish of happiness and enthusiasm. They protect us in every kind of small and big war. Call on them to protect. Let them protect us in war. (3)
इन्द्र तुभ्यमिदद्रिवोऽनुत्तं वज्रिन्वीर्यम् । यद्ध त्यं मायिनं मृगं तव त्यन्माययावधीरर्चन्ननु स्वराज्यम् ॥ (४)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे इंद्र! आप वञ्रधारण करते हैं. आप गिरि (पर्वत) पर निवास करते हैं. आप स्वराज की इच्छा से अर्चना करने वालों की सहायता करते हैं. युद्धों में आप मायावी हिरण की तरह छलीकपटी के नाश के लिए कूटनीति का सहारा लेते हैं. (४)
EN English Translation
O Indra! You do the stigmatization. You live on the giri (mountain). You help those who worship with the desire of Swaraj. In wars, you resort to diplomacy to destroy deceit like an elusive deer. (4)
प्रेह्यभीहि धृष्णुहि न ते वज्रो नि यँसते । इन्द्र नृम्णँ हि ते शवो हनो वृत्रं जया अपोऽर्चन्ननु स्वराज्यम् ॥ (५)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे इंद्र! आप सब ओर से दुश्मनों पर हमला कीजिए. आप दुश्मनों का नाश कीजिए. आप का वज्र शक्तिशाली व आप की शक्ति अतुलनीय है. आप ने अपने राज्य की इच्छा से वृत्रासुर का वध किया, विजय प्राप्त की व जल प्राप्त किया. (५)
EN English Translation
O Indra! You attack the enemies from all sides. You destroy the enemies. Your thunderbolt is powerful and your power is incomparable. You killed Vritrasura, conquered and received water with the will of your kingdom. (5)
यदुदीरत आजयो धृष्णवे धीयते धनम् । युङ्क्ष्वा मदच्युता हरी कँ हनः कं वसौ दधोऽस्माँ इन्द्र वसौ दधः ॥ (६)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे इंद्र! आप मद चुआने वाले अपने घोड़ों को रथ में जोतिए. आप किस का नाश करेंगे यह आप पर निर्भर है. आप किस को धन प्रदान करेंगे यह भी आप पर निर्भर करता है. आप हमें धन प्रदान कीजिए. युद्ध में शत्रुओं को जीतने वाले ही धन प्राप्त करते हैं. (६)
EN English Translation
O Indra! You plough your horses in the chariot. It's up to you who you will destroy. Who you will provide money to also depends on you. You give us money. Only those who win enemies in war get money. (6)
अक्षन्नमीमदन्त ह्यव प्रिया अधूषत । अस्तोषत स्वभानवो विप्रा नविष्ठया मती योजा न्विन्द्र ते हरी ॥ (७)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे इंद्र! यजमान आप के दिए हुए अन्न से तृप्त हुए. यजमान सिर हिला कर प्रसन्नता प्रकट करते हैं. तेजस्वी ब्राह्मण नई प्रार्थना पढ़ते हैं. आप यज्ञ में पधारने के लिए घोड़ों को रथ में जोतने की कृपा कीजिए. (७)
EN English Translation
O Indra! The host was satisfied with the food you gave. The host shakes his head and expresses happiness. Stunning Brahmins read new prayers. Please plough the horses in the chariot to come to the yagna. (7)
उपो षु शृणुही गिरो मघवन्मातथा इव । कदा नः सूनृतावतः कर इदर्थयास इद्योजा न्विन्द्र ते हरी ॥ (८)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे इंद्र! आप धनवान हैं. आप हमारी प्रार्थना को सुनने की कृपा कीजिए. आप हमें कब अच्छी वाणी वाला बनाएंगे? आप हमारी स्तुतियों को अच्छी तरह सुनने के लिए पधारिए. आप पधारने के लिए अपने घोड़ों को रथ में जोतने की कृपा कीजिए. (८)
EN English Translation
O Indra! You are rich. Please listen to our prayers. When will you make us good speeched? Come to hear our praises well. Please plough your horses in the chariot to come. (8)
चन्द्रमा अप्स्वा३न्तरा सुपर्णो धावते दिवि । न वो हिरण्यनेमयः पदं विन्दन्ति विद्युतो वित्तं मे अस्य रोदसी ॥ (९)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
चंद्र अंतरिक्ष में अपनी किरणों के साथ गतिशील हैं. सूर्य की किरणें सुनहरी और चमकीली हैं. हमारी इंद्रियां उन्हें नहीं पकड़ सकती. हे स्वर्गलोक! व पृथ्वीलोक! आप हमारी प्रार्थना स्वीकार कीजिए. (९)
EN English Translation
The moons are moving with their rays in space. The sun's rays are golden and bright. Our senses cannot catch them. O paradise! And the earth! You accept our prayer. (9)
प्रति प्रियतमँ रथं वृषणं वसुवाहनम् । स्तोता वामश्विनावृशि स्तोमेभिर्भूषति प्रति माध्वी मम श्रुतँ हवम् ॥ (१०)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे अश्विनीकुमारो! आप का रथ अत्यंत प्रिय व बलवान है. वह धन ढोता है. उपासक ऋषि अपनी प्रार्थनाओं से उसे सुशोभित करते हैं. आप दोनों मधुर विद्याओं के ज्ञाता हैं. आप हमारी प्रार्थनाएं सुनिए. (१०)
EN English Translation
O Ashwinikumaro! Your chariot is very dear and strong. He carries money. The worshiping sages adorn him with their prayers. Both of you are knowledgeable of sweet sciences. Listen to our prayers. (10)
