इन्द्रमच्छ सुता इमे वृषणं यन्तु हरयः । श्रुष्टे जातास इन्दवः स्वर्विदः ॥ (१)

सोमरस बहुत जल्दी तैयार किया गया है. यह ज्ञान की बढ़ोतरी करने वाला और हरा है. यह शीघ्र ही इच्छा पूर्ण करने वाले शक्तिमान इंद्र के पास पहुंचे. (१)
EN English Translation
Somers has been prepared very quickly. It is knowledge-enhancing and green. It soon reached shaktiman Indra, who fulfilled the wish. (1)
प्र धन्वा सोम जागृविरिन्द्रायेन्दो परि स्रव । द्युमन्तँ शुष्ममा भर स्वर्विदम् ॥ (२)

हे सोम! आप उत्साह और फुर्ती देने वाले हैं. आप इंद्र के पीने के लिए इस कलश में प्रवेश कीजिए. आप हमें प्रकाशवान और ज्ञानवान बनाइए. (२)
EN English Translation
O Mon! You are encouraging and agile. You enter this kalash for Indra to drink. You make us light and knowledgeable. (2)
सखाय आ नि षीदत पुनानाय प्र गायत । शिशुं न यज्ञैः परि भूषत श्रिये ॥ (३)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे यजमानो! आप हमारे मित्र हैं. आप आइए व बैठिए. आप सोम को छानते समय की जाने वाली स्तुति गाइए. जैसे बच्चे को आभूषणों से सजाया जाता है, वैसे ही आप हवि और यज्ञ के अन्य साधनों से सोम को सजाइए. (३)
EN English Translation
O hosts! You are our friend. You come and sit down. Sing praises while filtering the Mon. Just as the child is decorated with ornaments, so you decorate Soma with Havi and other means of yajna. (3)
तं वः सखायो मदाय पुनानमभि गायत । शिशुं न हव्यैः स्वदयन्त गूर्तिभिः ॥ (४)

हे मित्र यजमानो! आप प्रसन्नता बढ़ाने के लिए सोम की स्तुति कीजिए. आप छानते हुए सोम की स्तुति कीजिए. आप बालक को सजाने की तरह हवियों से इन्हें सजाइए. (४)
EN English Translation
O friend, sir! Praise Som for increasing happiness. Praise Som while you filter. You decorate them with lust like decorating the child. (4)
प्राणा शिशुर्महीनाँ हिन्वन्नृतस्य दीधितिम् । विश्वा परि प्रिया भुवदध द्विता ॥ (५)

सोम आदरणीय जल के पुत्र हैं. ये यज्ञ को प्रकाशित और परिपूर्ण करने वाले हैं. इन का रस सभी हवियों में रहता है. ये स्वर्गलोक और पृथ्वीलोक दोनों में रहते हैं. (५)

Som is the son of venerable water. They are the ones who illuminate and perfect the yajna. The juice of these lives in all the hives. They live in both heaven and earth. (5)
पवस्व देववीतय इन्दो धाराभिरोजसा । आ कलशं मधुमान्त्सोम नः सदः ॥ (६)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे सोम! देवताओं के पीने के लिए आप जल्दी से धाराधार हो कर छनिए. आप मदकारी हैं. आप हमारे कलश में विराजिए. (६)
EN English Translation
O Mon! You quickly get down to the stream for the gods to drink. You are an alcoholic. You sit in our urn. (6)
सोमः पुनान ऊर्मिणाव्यं वारं वि धावति । अग्रे वाचः पवमानः कनिक्रदत् ॥ (७)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
सोमरस पवित्र और छना हुआ है. छनने में आवाज करता हुआ वह भेड़ के बालों से बनी छलनी से छनता जाता है. (७)
EN English Translation
Someras is holy and filtered. Making a sound in the sieve, he is filtered with a sieve made of sheep's hair. (7)
प्र पुनानाय वेधसे सोमाय वच उच्यते । भृतिं न भरा मतिभिर्जुजोषते ॥ (८)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
पवित्र तथा कर्म करने वाले सोम के लिए प्रार्थनाएं की जाती हैं. सेवक की सेवा से जैसे हम प्रसन्न हो जाते हैं, वैसे ही विशेष प्रार्थनाओं से हम उन को प्रसन्न करें. (८)
EN English Translation
Prayers are offered for the holy and deed soma. Just as we are pleased with the service of the servant, so let us please them with special prayers. (8)
गोमन्न इन्दो अश्ववत्सुतः सुदक्ष धनिव । शुचिं च वर्णमधि गोषु धार्य ॥ (९)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे सोम! आप शक्तिमान हैं. रस निचोड़ने के बाद आप हमें गोधन और अश्व धन दीजिए, फिर गाय के दूध में मिल कर आप सफेद रंग वाले हो जाइए. हम सब तरह से आप की स्तुति करते हैं. (९)
EN English Translation
O Mon! You are powerful. After squeezing the juice, you give us godhan and horse money, then mix it in cow's milk and you become white in color. We praise you in all ways. (9)
अस्मभ्यं त्वा वसुविदमभि वाणीरनूषत । गोभिष्टे वर्णमभि वासयामसि ॥ (१०)

हे सोम! आप धनदाता हैं. हमें धन दीजिए. हम आप की स्तुति करते हैं. हम आप के रस को गोरस में मिलाते हैं. (१०)
EN English Translation
O Mon! You are a money giver. Give us money. We praise you. We add your juice to the goras. (10)
पवते हर्यतो हरिरति ह्वराँसि रँह्या । अभ्यर्ष स्तोतृभ्यो वीरवद्यशः ॥ (११)

हे सोम! आप मनोहर व हरे रंग के हैं. आप छनते जाइए. न छनने वाले भाग को छलनी में रहने दीजिए. आप हम उपासकों को यशस्वी पुत्र दीजिए. (११)
EN English Translation
O Mon! You are beautiful and green. You keep filtering. Leave the unfiltered part in the sieve. You give us worshippers a successful son. (11)
परि कोशं मधुश्चुतँ सोमः पुनानो अर्षति । अभि वाणीरृषीणाँ सप्ता नूषत ॥ (१२)

पवित्र सोमरस छनछन कर घड़े में टपकता और अपना मीठा रस द्रोणकलश में पहुंचाता है. सात छंदों (पदों) वाली ऋषियों की वाणी सोम की स्तुति करती है. (१२)

The holy Someras filters and drips into the pitcher and delivers its sweet juice to Dronakalash. The voice of the sages with seven verses (verses) praises Soma. (12)
