उपास्मै गायता नरः पवमानायेन्दवे । अभि देवाँ इयक्षते ॥ (१)

हे यजमानो! आप देवताओं के लिए यज्ञ करना चाहते हैं. आप छान कर साफ किए गए सोमरस की स्तुति कीजिए. (१)
EN English Translation
O hosts! You want to perform yajna for the gods. You praise the somers that have been filtered and cleaned. (1)
अभि ते मधुना पयोऽथर्वाणो अशिश्रयुः । देवं देवाय देवयु ॥ (२)

सोमरस दिव्य है. यह देवताओं को प्रिय है. इसे देवताओं ने देवताओं के लिए खोजा है. अथर्वा ऋषियों ने गाय का दूध मिला कर इसे यजमान के लिए तैयार किया है. (२)
EN English Translation
Somerus is divine. It is dear to the gods. It has been discovered by the gods for the gods. Atharva rishis have mixed cow's milk and prepared it for the host. (2)
स नः पवस्व शं गवे शं जनाय शमर्वते । शँ राजन्नोषधीभ्यः ॥ (३)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे सोम! आप हितकारी हैं. आप हमारी गौओं को सुख दीजिए. आप हमारे पुत्रपौत्रों (आने वाली पीढ़ियों) व घोड़ों को सुख दीजिए. आप ओषधियों को हमारे लिए कल्याणकारी बनाइए. (३)
EN English Translation
O Mon! You are beneficial. You give happiness to our cows. Give happiness to our sons and grandsons (future generations) and horses. You make medicines welfare for us. (3)
दविद्युतत्या रुचा परिष्टोभन्त्या कृपा । सोमाः शुक्रा गवाशिरः ॥ (४)

सोमरस बहुत चमकीला है. इस की धारा सब ओर टपकती हुई आवाज करती है. साफ निथारे हुए सोमरस को गाय के दूध में मिलाया जाता है. (४)
EN English Translation
Somerus is very bright. The stream of this makes a dripping sound all around. Cleaned somerus is added to cow's milk. (4)
हिन्वानो हेतृभिर्हित आ वाजं वाज्यक्रमीत् । सीदन्तो वनुषो यथा ॥ (५)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
जैसे युद्धों में शूरवीर की प्रशंसा होती है व उसे प्रतिष्ठा मिलती है, वैसे ही यज्ञ में सोमरस की यजमान प्रशंसा करते हैं व यज्ञ भूमि में सोम को प्रतिष्ठा मिलती है. (५)
EN English Translation
Just as the knight is praised and gets prestige in wars, in the same way, the host praises Someras in the yajna and Soma gets prestige in the yajna land. (5)
ऋधक्सोम स्वस्तये सञ्जग्मानो दिवा कवे । पवस्व सूर्यो दृशे ॥ (६)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे सोम! आप बुद्धिमान व परमवीर हैं. आप सूर्य की भांति ऊपर चढ़ दिव्य प्रकाशमय हो कर सब का कल्याण कीजिए. (६)
EN English Translation
O Mon! You are intelligent and supreme. You rise up like the sun and be divinely light and benefit everyone. (6)
पवमानस्य ते कवे वाजिन्त्सर्गा असृक्षते । अर्वन्तो न श्रवस्यवः ॥ (७)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे सोम! आप शक्तिवर्धक हैं. छानते समय आप की धार ऐसी गतिशील होती है, जैसे अस्तबल से निकलते समय घोड़े गतिशील होते हैं. (७)
EN English Translation
O Mon! You are powerful. While filtering, your edge is as dynamic as horses are moving when leaving the stables. (7)
अच्छा कोशं मधुश्चुतमसृग्रं वारे अव्यये । अवावशन्त धीतयः ॥ (८)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
मधुर रस से भरे द्रोणकलश में भेड़ के बालों से बनी छलनी से यजमान सोमरस को छानछान कर तैयार करते हैं. यजमान की अंगुलियां बारबार उस सोमरस को शुद्ध करना चाहती हैं. (८)
EN English Translation
In a dronalash filled with sweet juice, the host filters the somras with a sieve made of sheep's hair and prepares it. The host's fingers repeatedly want to purify that somers. (8)
अच्छा समुद्रमिन्दवोऽस्तं गावो न धेनवः । अग्मन्नृतस्य योनिमा ॥ (९)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
मनुष्यों को अपने दूध से तृप्त करने वाली दुधारू गाएं जैसे अपने बाड़े में जाती हैं, वैसे ही छान कर घड़े में भरे हुए सोम यज्ञ स्थल में जाते हैं. (९)
EN English Translation
Just as milch cows that satisfy humans with their milk go to their enclosure, they filter and go to the Soma Yagya site filled in a pitcher. (9)
