भवा॑शर्वौ मृ॒डतं॒ माभि या॑तं॒ भूत॑पती॒ पशु॑पती॒ नमो॑ वाम् । प्रति॑हिता॒माय॑तां॒ मा वि स्रा॑ष्टं॒ मा नो॑ हिंसिष्टं द्वि॒पदो॒ मा चतु॑ष्पदः ॥ (१)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे संसार की सृष्टि करने वाले भव एवं संसार की हिंसा करने वाले शर्व! हमें सुखी करो तथा हमारी रक्षा के लिए हमारे सामने आओ. प्राणियों एवं पशुओं के पालक तुम दोनों को नमस्कार है. अपने धनुष की डोरी पर रखा हुआ बाण हमारी ओर मत छोड़ो. हमारे मनुष्यों एवं पशुओं की हिंसा मत करो. (१)
EN English Translation
O Bhava, the creator of the world and the one who commits the violence of the world! Make us happy and come before us to protect us. Salutations to both of you, the guardian of animals and animals. Don't leave the arrow on the string of your bow towards us. Don't do violence against our humans and animals. (1)
शुने॑ क्रो॒ष्ट्रे मा शरी॑राणि॒ कर्त॑म॒लिक्ल॑वेभ्यो॒ गृध्रे॑भ्यो॒ ये च॑ कृ॒ष्णा अ॑वि॒ष्यवः॑ । मक्षि॑कास्ते पशुपते॒ वयां॑सि ते विघ॒से मा वि॑दन्त ॥ (२)

हे भव एवं शर्व! तुम हमारे शरीर को कुत्ते और सियार के खाने योग्य मत बनाओ. कातर न होने वाले गिद्धों एवं मांस की इच्छा करने वाले कौओं को भी हमारे शरीर मत खाने दो. हे पशुपति रुद्र! मक्खियां और तुम्हारे पक्षी भी भोजन की इच्छा से हमारे शरीरों को प्राप्त न करें. (२)
EN English Translation
O bhava and sharva! You don't make our bodies edible of dogs and jackals. Do not let vultures that do not bite and crows who desire meat eat our bodies. O Pashupati Rudra! Flies and your birds also do not get our bodies out of the desire for food. (2)
क्रन्दा॑य ते प्रा॒णाय॒ याश्च॑ ते भव॒ रोप॑यः । नम॑स्ते रुद्र कृण्मः सहस्रा॒क्षाया॑मर्त्य ॥ (३)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे भव! हम तुम्हारे शब्द और प्राण वायु को नमस्कार करते हैं. हम तुम्हारे मोहक शरीरों को नमस्कार करते हैं. हे रुद्र! हे सहस्राक्ष एवं मृत्यु रहित! हम तुम्हें नमस्कार करते हैं. (३)
EN English Translation
O bhava! We salute your words and life to the air. We salute your seductive bodies. O Rudra! O Sahasraksha and without death! We greet you. (3)
पु॒रस्ता॑त्ते॒ नमः॑ कृण्म उत्त॒राद॑ध॒रादु॒त । अ॑भीव॒र्गाद्दि॒वस्पर्य॒न्तरि॑क्षाय ते॒ नमः॑ ॥ (४)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे रुद्र! हम तुम्हें सामने से, उत्तर दिशा से एवं दक्षिण दिशा से नमस्कार करते हैं. प्रकाशपूर्ण आकाश के ऊपर वाले भाग में वर्तमान तुम्हारे लिए नमस्कार है. (४)
EN English Translation
O Rudra! We greet you from the front, from the north direction and from the south direction. Salutations to you in the present in the upper part of the light sky. (4)
मुखा॑य ते पशुपते॒ यानि॒ चक्षूं॑षि ते भव । त्व॒चे रू॒पाय॑ सं॒दृशे॑ प्रती॒चीना॑य ते॒ नमः॑ ॥ (५)

हे पशुपति! तुम्हारे मुख को नमस्कार है. हे भव! तुम्हारे तीन नेत्रों को नमस्कार है. तुम्हारे चर्म को, रूप को एवं सम्यक दर्शन की शक्ति को नमस्कार है. (५)
EN English Translation
O Pashupati! Salutations to your face. O bhava! Salutations to your three eyes. Salutations to your skin, form and the power of right philosophy. (5)
अङ्गे॑भ्यस्त उ॒दरा॑य जि॒ह्वाया॑ आ॒स्याय ते । द॒द्भ्यो ग॒न्धाय॑ ते॒ नमः॑ ॥ (६)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे पशुपति! तुम्हारे हाथ, पैर आदि अंगों को नमस्कार है. तुम्हारी जीभ को, मुख को, दांतों को और तुम्हारी गंध ग्राहक इंद्रिय नाक को नमस्कार है. (६)
EN English Translation
O Pashupati! Salutations to your hands, feet etc. Salutations to your tongue, mouth, teeth and your smell to the customer sense nose. (6)
अस्त्रा॒ नील॑शिखण्डेन सहस्रा॒क्षेण॑ वा॒जिना॑ । रु॒द्रेणा॑र्धकघा॒तिना॒ तेन॒ मा सम॑रामहि ॥ (७)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हम अस्त्र फेंकने वाले, नीले रंग के शिखंड अर्थात् मोर के पंखों से युक्त, हजार आंखों वाले, वेगशाली एवं सेना के आधे भाग का वध करने वाले रुद्र के द्वारा दुःखी न हों. (७)
EN English Translation
Let us not be saddened by Rudra, who throws weapons, has blue shikhands, i.e. with peacock feathers, has a thousand eyes, is fast and kills half of the army. (7)
स नो॑ भ॒वः परि॑ वृणक्तु वि॒श्वत॒ आप॑ इवा॒ग्निः परि॑ वृणक्तु नो भ॒वः । मा नो॒ऽभि मां॑स्त॒ नमो॑ अस्त्वस्मै ॥ (८)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
बताए हुए प्रभाव वाले भव हमें सभी उपद्रवों से बचाएं. जिस प्रकार जलती हुई अग्नि जल का परित्याग करती है, उसी प्रकार भव हमें त्याग दें. वे हमें बाधा न पहुंचाएं. इस भव के लिए नमस्कार है. (८)
EN English Translation
May the effects of the mentioned effect protect us from all the disturbances. Just as a burning agni abandons water, so let us give up bhava. They should not obstruct us. Hello to this bhava. (8)
च॒तुर्नमो॑ अष्ट॒कृत्वो॑ भ॒वाय॒ दश॒ कृत्वः॑ पशुपते॒ नम॑स्ते । तवे॒मे पञ्च॑ प॒शवो॒ विभ॑क्ता॒ गावो॒ अश्वाः॒ पुरु॑षा अजा॒वयः॑ ॥ (९)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
शर्व को चार बार और भव को आठ बार नमस्कार है. हे पशुपति! तुम्हें दस बार नमस्कार है. हे पशुपति! भिन्नभिन्न जाति वाले पांच पशु अर्थात् गाय, घोड़े, पुरुष, बकरियां और भेड़ें तुम्हारे ही हैं. इन की रक्षा करो. (९)
EN English Translation
Salutations to Sharva four times and Bhava eight times. O Pashupati! Greet you ten times. O Pashupati! Five animals of different jatis i.e. cows, horses, men, goats and sheep are yours. Protect these. (9)
तव॒ चत॑स्रः प्र॒दिश॒स्तव॒ द्यौस्तव॑ पृथि॒वी तवे॒दमु॑ग्रो॒र्वन्तरि॑क्षम् । तवे॒दं सर्व॑मात्म॒न्वद्यत्प्रा॒णत्पृ॑थि॒वीमनु॑ ॥ (१०)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे अतिशय बलशाली रुद्र! पूर्व आदि चार दिशाएं तुम्हारे अधिकार में हैं. द्यौ, पृथ्वी विशाल अंतरिक्ष तथा आत्मा के द्वारा भोक्ता के रूप में वर्तमान सारे शरीर तुम्हारे अधिकार में है. पृथ्वी पर जितने सांस लेने वाले हैं, वे भी तुम्हारे अधिकार में हैं. इन सब पर कृपा करने के लिए तुम्हें नमस्कार है. (१०)
EN English Translation
O very powerful Rudra! The four directions of the east are in your possession. The earth is in your possession as a consumer through vast space and spirit. All the breathers on earth are also in your right. Hello to you for your grace on all this. (10)
उ॒रुः कोशो॑ वसु॒धान॒स्तवा॒यं यस्मि॑न्नि॒मा विश्वा॒ भुव॑नान्य॒न्तः । स नो॑ मृड पशुपते॒ नम॑स्ते प॒रः क्रो॒ष्टारो॑ अभि॒भाः श्वानः॑ प॒रो य॑न्त्वघ॒रुदो॑ विके॒श्यः ॥ (११)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे पशुपति! विस्तीर्ण एवं पापपुण्य रूप कर्मो को धारण करने वाला यह कोष ब्रह्मांड एवं कटाह तुम्हारा है. सभी इसी कोष के अंदर विद्यमान हैं. हे पशुपति! तुम हमें सुखी बनाओ. तुम्हें नमस्कार है. तुम्हारी कृपा से हमें पराजित करने वाले सियार एवं कुत्ते हम से दूर देश में चले जाएं. अमंगल पूर्ण रोदन करने वाली पिशाचियां भी हम से दूर चली जाएं. (११)
EN English Translation
O Pashupati! This universe and the universe, which possesses sinful deeds, are yours. All exist within this fund. O Pashupati! You make us happy. Hello to you. By your grace, let the jackals and dogs that defeat us go away from us to the land. Even the vampires who cry out loud should go away from us. (11)
धनु॑र्बिभर्षि॒ हरि॑तं हिर॒ण्ययं॑ सहस्र॒घ्नि श॒तव॑धं शिखण्डिन् । रु॒द्रस्येषु॑श्चरति देवहे॒तिस्तस्यै॒ नमो॑ यत॒मस्यां॑ दि॒शी॒तः ॥ (१२)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे रुद्र! तुम विश्व के संहार के लिए धनुष धारण करते हो. जो हरे रंग का, स्वर्ण निर्मित, एक बार में एक हजार जनों को तापित करने वाला तथा सौ प्राणियों का वध करने वाला है. हे मोरपंख से निर्मित मुकुट वाले रुद्र! तुम्हारे उस धनुष के लिए नमस्कार है. रुद्र देव का बाण बिना रुके सर्वत्र जाता है. यह देवों का हनन साधन है. यह बाण जिस दिशा में है, उसी दिशा में इस बाण को नमस्कार है. (१२)
EN English Translation
O Rudra! You wear a bow to destroy the world. Which is green, gold-made, heats one thousand people at a time and kills a hundred creatures. O Rudra with a crown made of peacock feathers! Hello to that bow of yours. Rudra Dev's arrow goes everywhere without stopping. This is a means of violating the gods. Salutations to this arrow in the direction in which this arrow is. (12)
यो॒भिया॑तो नि॒लय॑ते॒ त्वां रु॑द्र नि॒चिकी॑र्षति । प॒श्चाद॑नु॒प्रयु॑ङ्क्षे॒ तं वि॒द्धस्य॑ पद॒नीरि॑व ॥ (१३)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे रुद्र! जिस पुरुष पर तुम आक्रमण करते हो, वह तुम्हारे सामने नहीं ठहर पाता एवं तुम्हारी हिंसा करने की इच्छा करता है. हे देव! इस प्रकार के अपकारी पुरुष को तुम उस के अपराध के अनुसार उसी प्रकार दंड देते हो, जिस प्रकार घायल व्यक्ति के पद चिह्णों के अनुसार पहुंच कर शत्रु उस पर वार करता है. (१३)
EN English Translation
O Rudra! The man you attack cannot stand in front of you and wishes to do your violence. O God! You punish such a sinful man according to his crime, just as the enemy strikes him by reaching according to the footprints of the injured person. (13)
भ॑वारु॒द्रौ स॒युजा॑ संविदा॒नावु॒भावु॒ग्रौ च॑रतो वी॒र्याय । ताभ्यां॒ नमो॑ यत॒मस्यां॑ दि॒शी॒तः ॥ (१४)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
भव और रुद्र मित्र बने हुए, एक मत को प्राप्त एवं शत्रुओं द्वारा अपराजेय हो कर अपना शौर्य प्रकट करने के लिए सर्वत्र घूमते हैं. इन दोनों के लिए नमस्कार है. हमारे निवास स्थान से वे जिस दिशा में वर्तमान हों, वहीं उन को नमस्कार है. (१४)
EN English Translation
Bhava and Rudra, who remain friends, attain one vote and become unbeatable by enemies, roam everywhere to express their bravery. Hello to both of them. Salutations to them in the direction in which they are present from our place of residence. (14)
नम॑स्तेऽस्त्वाय॒ते नमो॑ अस्तु पराय॒ते । नम॑स्ते रुद्र॒ तिष्ठ॑त॒ आसी॑नायो॒त ते॒ नमः॑ ॥ (१५)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे रुद्र! हमारे सम्मुख आते हुए तुम्हें नमस्कार है और हमारी ओर पीठ कर के जाते हुए तुम्हें नमस्कार है. खड़े हुए एवं अपने स्थान पर बैठे हुए तुम्हें नमस्कार है. (१५)

O Rudra! Greetings to you when you come in front of us and greeting you when you turn your back towards us. Greetings to you while standing up and sitting in your place. (15)
नमः॑ सा॒यं नमः॑ प्रा॒तर्नमो॒ रात्र्या॒ नमो॒ दिवा॑ । भ॒वाय॑ च श॒र्वाय॑ चो॒भाभ्या॑मकरं॒ नमः॑ ॥ (१६)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे रुद्र! तुम्हें सायंकाल, प्रातःकाल, रात्रि में एवं दिन में नमस्कार है. हे भव और शर्व! मैं बुम दोनों को नमस्कार करता हूं. (१६)

O Rudra! Salutations to you in the evening, morning, night and day. O Bhava and Sharva! I salute both of them. (16)
स॑हस्रा॒क्षम॑तिप॒श्यं पु॒रस्ता॑द्रु॒द्रमस्य॑न्तं बहु॒धा वि॑प॒श्चित॑म् । मोपा॑राम जि॒ह्वयेय॑मानम् ॥ (१७)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हजार नेत्रों वाले, क्रांतदर्शी, सामने की ओर बाण चलाने वाले, मेधावी एवं भक्षण के लिए सारे संसार को अपनी जीभ के अग्र भाग से व्याप्त करने वाले रुद्र के सामने हम न जाएं. (१७)
EN English Translation
We should not go in front of Rudra, who has a thousand eyes, a revolutionary, an arrow-wielding in front, meritorious and who pervades the whole world with the front of his tongue for food. (17)
श्या॒वाश्वं॑ कृ॒ष्णमसि॑तं मृ॒णन्तं॑ भी॒मं रथं॑ के॒शिनः॑ पा॒दय॑न्तम् । पूर्वे॒ प्रती॑मो॒ नमो॑ अस्त्वस्मै ॥ (१८)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
काले रंग वाले, काले वस्त्रों वाले, हिंसक एवं भयंकर रुद्र ने केशी नामक असुर के रथ को तोड़ कर धरती पर डाल दिया था. अन्य स्तोताओं के पूर्ववर्ती हम रुद्र को अपना रक्षक जानते हैं. ऐसे रुद्र को नमस्कार है. (१८)
EN English Translation
Rudra, who was black, dressed in black clothes, violent and fierce, broke the chariot of an asura named Keshi and put it on the earth. We consider Rudra as our protector, the predecessor of other hymns. Salutations to Rudra like this. (18)
मा नो॒ऽभि स्रा॑ म॒त्यं देवहे॒तिं मा नः॑ क्रुधः पशुपते॒ नम॑स्ते । अ॒न्यत्रा॒स्मद्दि॒व्यां शाखां॒ वि धू॑नु ॥ (१९)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे रुद्र! अपने दैवी बाण को हम मरणधर्माओं पर मत चलाओ. हे पशुपति! हमारे प्रति क्रोध न करो. तुम्हारे लिए नमस्कार है. शाखा के समान विस्तृत अपने दिव्य बाण को हमारी अपेक्षा अन्यत्र छोड़ो. (१९)
EN English Translation
O Rudra! Don't agni your divine arrow on us dead. O Pashupati! Don't get angry with us. Hello to you. Leave your divine arrow as wide as a branch elsewhere than us. (19)
मा नो॑ हिंसी॒रधि॑ नो ब्रूहि॒ परि॑ णो वृङ्ग्धि॒ मा क्रु॑धः । मा त्वया॒ सम॑रामहि ॥ (२०)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे रुद्र! हमारी हिंसा मत करो. हमारे प्रति पक्षपात के वचन अधिक मात्रा में बोलो. हमें तुम अपने आयुध का लक्ष्य मत बनाओ एवं हमारे प्रति क्रोध मत करो. हम कभी भी तुम से न मिलें. (२०)
EN English Translation
O Rudra! Don't do our violence. Speak more of the promises of partiality towards us. Don't make us the target of your armament and don't get angry with us. Let us never meet you. (20)
मा नो॒ गोषु॒ पुरु॑षेषु॒ मा गृ॑धो नो अजा॒विषु॑ । अ॒न्यत्रो॑ग्र॒ वि व॑र्तय॒ पिया॑रूणां प्र॒जां ज॑हि ॥ (२१)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे रुद्र! हमारी गायों, पुत्र, भृत्य आदि को मारने की इच्छा मत करो. हमारी बकरियों एवं भेड़ों की हिंसा करने की बात मत सोचो. हे शक्तिशाली रुद्र! अपना आयुध हमें छोड़ कर अन्यत्र चलाओ तथा देव हिंसकों की संतान का वध करो. (२१)
EN English Translation
O Rudra! Don't want to kill our cows, sons, nephews, etc. Don't think of violence against our goats and sheep. O mighty Rudra! Leave us and drive your weapon elsewhere and kill the children of god-violent people. (21)
यस्य॑ त॒क्मा कासि॑का हे॒तिरेक॒मश्व॑स्येव॒ वृष॑णः॒ क्रन्द॒ एति॑ । अ॑भिपू॒र्वं नि॒र्णय॑ते॒ नमो॑ अस्त्वस्मै ॥ (२२)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
ज्वर एवं खांसी जिन रुद्र के आयुध हैं, वे गर्भाधान में समर्थ घोड़े के समान शब्द करते हुए अपकारी पुरुष के पास जाते हैं. रुद्र के वे आयुध अपराधी के अपराध का विचार कर के क्रम से नाश करते हैं. ऐसे रुद्र को मेरा नमस्कार है. (२२)

Rudra, who has fever and cough, goes to the apkari man, saying words like a horse capable of conception. Rudra destroys them in order to consider the crime of the ordnance criminal. My greetings to such Rudra. (22)
यो॒न्तरि॑क्षे॒ तिष्ठ॑ति॒ विष्ट॑भि॒तोऽय॑ज्वनः प्रमृ॒णन्दे॑वपी॒यून् । तस्मै॒ नमो॑ द॒शभिः॒ शक्व॑रीभिः ॥ (२३)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
जो रुद्र अंतरिक्ष में स्थित हो कर यज्ञ न करने वालों एवं देव हिंसकों की हत्या करते हैं, उन के लिए मेरा हाथ जोड़ कर नमस्कार है. (२३)

I salute with folded hands for rudra who is located in space and kills those who do not perform yagya and god violent. (23)
तुभ्य॑मार॒ण्याः प॒शवो॑ मृ॒गा वने॑ हि॒ता हं॒साः सु॑प॒र्णाः श॑कु॒ना वयां॑सि । तव॑ य॒क्षं प॑शुपते अ॒प्स्वन्तस्तुभ्यं॑ क्षरन्ति दि॒व्या आपो॑ वृ॒धे ॥ (२४)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे पशुपति! वन में जन्म लेने वाले हरिण, सिंह आदि पशु एवं हंस आदि नर पक्षी तुम्हारे लिए बनाए गए हैं. तुम उन्हीं को स्वीकार करो और हमारे पशुओं का वध मत करो. तुम्हारा पूज्य स्वरूप जलों के भीतर वर्तमान है, इसलिए तुम्हारे स्नान के हेतु दिव्य जल बहते है. तुम हमारे उपयोग के जल को मत छुओ. (२४)
EN English Translation
O Pashupati! Animals like deer, lions, etc. born in the forest and male birds like swans etc. are made for you. Accept them and don't slaughter our animals. Your venerated form is present within the waters, so divine water flows for your bath. Don't touch the water we use. (24)
शिं॒शु॒मारा॑ अजग॒राः पु॑री॒कया॑ ज॒षा मत्स्या॑ रज॒सा येभ्यो॒ अस्य॑सि । न ते॑ दू॒रं न प॑रि॒ष्ठास्ति॑ ते भव स॒द्यः सर्वा॒न्परि॑ पश्यसि॒ भूमिं॒ पूर्व॑स्माद्धं॒स्युत्त॑रस्मिन्समु॒द्रे ॥ (२५)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे रुद्र! मगर, अजगर, झष, मत्स्य आदि जलचर तुम्हारे हेतु हैं, जिन की ओर तुम अपने तेज से आयुध चलाते हो. तुम सारी भूमि को एक क्षण में ही देख लेते हो और पूर्व दिशा में वर्तमान सागर से उत्तर दिशा में स्थित सागर तक एक क्षण में ही पहुंच जाते हो. (२५)
EN English Translation
O Rudra! However, dragons, fish, fish, etc. are for you, towards which you run the armament with your speed. You see the whole land in a moment and reach the present ocean in the east direction to the ocean in the north direction in a moment. (25)
मा नो॑ रुद्र त॒क्मना॒ मा वि॒षेण॒ मा नः॒ सं स्रा॑ दि॒व्येना॒ग्निना॑ । अ॒न्यत्रा॒स्मद्वि॒द्युतं॑ पातयै॒ताम् ॥ (२६)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे रुद्र! ज्चर के द्वारा, विष के द्वारा एवं बिजली रूपी दिव्य तेज के द्वारा हमारा स्पर्श मत करो. तुम अपने प्रकाश युक्त आयुध को हमें छोड़ कर अन्यत्र गिराओ. (२६)
EN English Translation
O Rudra! Do not touch us through the poison, through the poison and through the divine radiance of electricity. You drop your light-containing armament elsewhere leaving us. (26)
भ॒वो दि॒वो भ॒व ई॑शे पृथि॒व्या भ॒व आ प॑प्र उ॒र्वन्तरि॑क्षम् । तस्मै॒ नमो॑ यत॒मस्यां॑ दि॒शी॒तः ॥ (२७)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
भव द्युलोक और पृथ्वी के स्वामी हैं. ये विस्तृत अंतरिक्ष को अपने तेज से पूर्ण करते हैं. ये भव और जिस दिशा में भी विद्यामान हैं, उन त्रिलोकव्यापी को उसी दिशा में नमस्कार है. (२७)
EN English Translation
Bhava is the swami of Dyulok and the earth. They complete the wide space with their sharpness. Salutations to those trilokavalevas in the same direction in which they are enlightened and in whichever direction they are knowledgeable. (27)
भव॑ राज॒न्यज॑मानाय मृड पशू॒नां हि प॑शु॒पति॑र्ब॒भूथ॑ । यः श्र॒द्दधा॑ति॒ सन्ति॑ दे॒वा इति॒ चतु॑ष्पदे द्वि॒पदे॑ऽस्य मृड ॥ (२८)

हे सब के स्वामी भव! यजमान को सुखी बनाओ. हे गाय, अश्व आदि पशुओं के पालको! जो मनुष्य ऐसी श्रद्धा करता है कि इंद्र आदि देव मेरे रक्षक हैं, उस मनुष्य की संतान और पशुओं की रक्षा करो. (२८)
EN English Translation
O Swami of all! Make the host happy. O cow, horse, etc., raise animals! The person who believes in such a way that Indra adi dev is my protector, protect the children and animals of that man. (28)
मा नो॑ म॒हान्त॑मु॒त मा नो॑ अर्भ॒कं मा नो॒ वह॑न्तमु॒त मा नो॑ वक्ष्य॒तः । मा नो॑ हिंसीः पि॒तरं॑ मा॒तरं॑ च॒ स्वां त॒न्वं रुद्र॒ मा री॑रिषो नः ॥ (२९)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे रुद्र! हमारे संबंधी वृद्ध की हिंसा मत करो. हमारे शिशु की तथा भार वहन के योग्य युवक की हिंसा मत करो. भार ढोने वाले सेवकों की भी हिंसा मत करो. हे रुद्र! हमारे मातापिता की तथा हमारे अपने शरीर की भी हिंसा मत करो. (२९)
EN English Translation
O Rudra! Don't do the violence of our relative old. Don't do violence against our baby and the young man who is able to bear the load. Do not violence even the servants who carry the load. O Rudra! Don't do violence to our parents and our own bodies. (29)
रु॒द्रस्यै॑लबका॒रेभ्यो॑ऽसंसूक्तगि॒लेभ्यः॑ । इ॒दं म॒हास्ये॑भ्यः॒ श्वभ्यो॑ अकरं॒ नमः॑ ॥ (३०)

मैं रुद्र को प्रेरणा देने वाले कर्म करने वालों को नमस्कार करता हूं. मैं अशोभन वचन बोलने वाले रुद्र गणों को तथा शिकार के सहायक विशाल मुख वाले कुत्तों को नमस्कार करता हूं. (३०)

I salute those who do the deeds that inspire Rudra. I salute the Rudra Ganas who speak indecent words and the dogs with huge faces that help the hunting. (30)
