आ स॒त्यो या॑तु म॒घवाँ॑ ऋजी॒षी द्रव॑न्त्वस्य॒ हर॑य॒ उप॑ नः । तस्मा॒ इदन्धः॑ सुषुमा सु॒दक्ष॑मि॒हाभि॑पि॒त्वं क॑रते गृणा॒नः ॥ (१)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
इंद्र के घोड़े हमारी ओर आएं. धन के स्वामी, सत्य के प्रति निष्ठा रखने वाले एवं सोमपायी इंद्र यहां आगमन करें. स्तुति करने वाला विद्वान् इसी कारण स्नान आदि कर्म कर रहा है तथा हम सोम का संस्कार कर रहे हैं. (१)
EN English Translation
Indra's horses should come towards us. Swami of wealth, those who are loyal to truth and somapayi Indra should come here. The scholar who praises is doing bathing etc. for this reason and we are doing the rites of Soma. (1)
अव॑ स्य शू॒राध्व॑नो॒ नान्ते॒ऽस्मिन्नो॑ अ॒द्य सव॑ने म॒न्दध्यै॑ । शंसा॑त्यु॒क्थमु॒शने॑व वे॒धाश्चि॑कि॒तुषे॑ असु॒र्याय॒ मन्म॑ ॥ (२)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे वीर इंद्र! हमारे इस यज्ञ को प्राप्त करो तथा अपना मार्ग हमारे समीप बनाओ. ये विद्वान् उशना अर्थात् शुक्राचार्य के समान इंद्र के हेतु उक्थ अर्थात् मंत्रों के समूह का उच्चारण करते हैं. (२)
EN English Translation
O heroic Indra! Get this yajna of ours and make your path near us. These scholars chant uktha i.e. a group of mantras for Indra like Ushna i.e. Shukracharya. (2)
क॒विर्न नि॒ण्यं वि॒दथा॑नि॒ साध॒न्वृषा॒ यत्सेकं॑ विपिपा॒नो अर्चा॑त् । दि॒व इ॒त्था जी॑जनत्स॒प्त का॒रूनह्ना॑ चिच्चक्रुर्व॒युना॑ गृ॒णन्तः॑ ॥ (३)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
इंद्र फलों के वर्षक अर्थात् सब को यज्ञ का फल देने वाले हैं. ये वर्षा के जल के द्वारा पृथ्वी को शस्यों अर्थात् फसलों से संपन्न बनाते हुए आगमन करें. ऋत्विज् यज्ञ कार्य कर रहा है. सात स्तोता शोभन स्तोत्रों द्वारा इंद्र की स्तुति कर रहे हैं. (३)
EN English Translation
Indra is the year of fruits, that is, giving the fruits of yajna to everyone. They should come by making the earth rich with crops through rainwater. Ritwij Yajna is working. The seven stotas are praising Indra through shobhan stotras. (3)
स्वर्यद्वेदि॑ सु॒दृशी॑कम॒र्कैर्महि॒ ज्योती॑ रुरुचु॒र्यद्ध॒ वस्तोः॑ । अ॒न्धा तमां॑सि॒ दुधि॑ता वि॒चक्षे॒ नृभ्य॑श्चकार॒ नृत॑मो अ॒भिष्टौ॑ ॥ (४)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
इन मंत्रों के द्वारा दर्शनीय स्वर्ग का ज्ञान होता है. ये मंत्र सूर्य को प्रकाशित करते हैं तथा इन मंत्रों के द्वारा सूर्य रूपी इंद्र दूर से भी अंधकार को हटा देते हैं. अतिशय शक्तिशाली इंद्र कामनाओं की वर्षा करते हैं. (४)
EN English Translation
Through these mantras, there is knowledge of the visible heaven. These mantras illuminate the sun and through these mantras, Indra of the sun removes darkness from a distance. The very powerful Indra showers desires. (4)
व॑व॒क्ष इन्द्रो॒ अमि॑तमृजि॒ष्युभे आ प॑प्रौ॒ रोद॑सी महि॒त्वा । अत॑श्चिदस्य महि॒मा वि रे॑च्य॒भि यो विश्वा॒ भुव॑ना ब॒भूव॑ ॥ (५)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
सोमरस पीने वाले इंद्र असीमित धन हमारी ओर भेजते हैं. इंद्र सभी लोकों में व्याप्त होने के कारण महिमा वाले हैं. उन्हीं इंद्र की महिमा पृथ्वी और आकाश को पूर्ण करती है. (५)
EN English Translation
Indra, who drinks someras, sends unlimited money towards us. Indra is of glory due to being prevalent in all the worlds. The glory of the same Indra completes the earth and the sky. (5)
विश्वा॑नि श॒क्रो नर्या॑णि वि॒द्वान॒पो रि॑रेच॒ सखि॑भि॒र्निका॑मैः । अश्मा॑नं चि॒द्ये बि॑भि॒दुर्वचो॑भिर्व्र॒जं गोम॑न्तमु॒शिजो॒ वि व॑व्रुः ॥ (६)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
स्वेच्छा से चलने वाले मेघों के द्वारा इंद्र देव ने हितकारी जलों की वृद्धि की है. ये जल अपने शब्द से पाषाणों को भी तोड़ देते हैं तथा इच्छा होने पर गोचर भूमि पर छा जाते हैं. (६)
EN English Translation
Indra Dev has increased the beneficial waters through the clouds that run voluntarily. These waters also break the stones with their words and when desired, they spread on the transiting land. (6)
अ॒पो वृ॒त्रं व॑व्रि॒वांसं॒ परा॑ह॒न्प्राव॑त्ते॒ वज्रं॑ पृथि॒वी सचे॑ताः । प्रार्णां॑सि समु॒द्रिया॑ण्यैनोः॒ पति॒र्भव॒ञ्छव॑सा शूर धृष्णो ॥ (७)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे इंद्र! यह पृथ्वी सावधानी से तुम्हारे वज्र की रक्षा करती है. यही समुद्र की भी रक्षिका है. रोकने वाले वृत्र को जलों ने छिन्नभिन्न कर दिया है. हे इंद्र! तुम अपने बल के द्वारा ही पृथ्वी के स्वामी हो. (७)
EN English Translation
O Indra! This earth carefully protects your thunderbolt. This is also the protector of the sea. The stopping tree has been shattered by the waters. O Indra! You are the master of the earth through your force. (7)
अ॒पो यदद्रिं॑ पुरुहूत॒ दर्द॑रा॒विर्भु॑वत्स॒रमा॑ पू॒र्व्यं ते॑ । स नो॑ ने॒ता वाज॒मा द॑र्षि॒ भूरिं॑ गो॒त्रा रु॒जन्नङ्गि॑रोभिर्गृणा॒नः ॥ (८)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे इंद्र! तुम अनेक यजमानों के द्वारा बुलाए जा चुके हो. तुम जिस जल को हमें प्रदान करते हो, वह जल तुरंत प्रकट हो कर बहने लगता है. तुम अंगिरसों द्वारा स्तुति किए गए मेघों को चीरते हुए हमें अपरिमित अन्न प्रदान करते हो. (८)
EN English Translation
O Indra! You have been called by many hosts. The water that you provide us, that water immediately appears and starts flowing. You rip apart the clouds praised by the Angiras and give us infinite food. (8)
