आ या॒त्विन्द्रः॒ स्वप॑ति॒र्मदा॑य॒ यो धर्म॑णा तूतुजा॒नस्तुवि॑ष्मान् । प्र॑त्वक्षा॒णो अति॒ विश्वा॒ सहां॑स्यपा॒रेण॑ मह॒ता वृष्ण्ये॑न ॥ (१)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
जो इंद्र धर्म के ईश्वर एवं स्वभाव से शीघ्रता करने वाले हैं, वे हर्ष प्राप्त करने के लिए यहां आएं तथा अपनी शक्ति से हमारे उन शत्रुओं को सभी प्रकार क्षीण करें जो हमें दबाना चाहते हैं. (१)
EN English Translation
Those who are quick to get happiness from the God and nature of Indra Dharma, come here to get happiness and with their power, weaken our enemies in all ways who want to suppress us. (1)
सु॒ष्ठामा॒ रथः॑ सु॒यमा॒ हरी॑ ते मि॒म्यक्ष॒ वज्रो॒ नृप॑ते॒ गभ॑स्तौ । शीभं॑ राजन्सु॒पथा या॑ह्य॒र्वाङ्वर्धा॑म ते प॒पुषो॒ वृष्ण्या॑नि ॥ (२)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे इंद्र! तुम अपने हाथ में वज्र धारण करते हो. तुम्हारे घोड़े सभी प्रकार से तुम्हारे अधीन रहते हैं. तुम्हारे रथ में बैठने का स्थान श्रेष्ठ है. तुम सुंदर मार्ग द्वारा स्वर्ग से आओ. हम सोमपान की कामना वाली तुम्हारी शक्ति को बढ़ाते हैं. (२)
EN English Translation
O Indra! You hold a thunderbolt in your hand. Your horses live under you in all ways. The place to sit in your chariot is the best. You come from heaven by beautiful path. We increase your power of sompan. (2)
एन्द्र॒वाहो॑ नृ॒पतिं॒ वज्र॑बाहुमु॒ग्रमु॒ग्रास॑स्तवि॒षास॑ एनम् । प्रत्व॑क्षसं वृष॒भं स॒त्यशु॑ष्म॒मेम॑स्म॒त्रा स॑ध॒मादो॑ वहन्तु ॥ (३)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
इंद्र वज्रधारी, राजा, भयंकर शत्रुओं का विनाश करने वाले, सत्य के कारण शक्तिशाली तथा कामनाओं की वर्षा करने वाले हैं. इंद्र के शक्तिशाली घोड़े उन्हें ले कर हमारे यज्ञ में आएं. (३)
EN English Translation
Indra is a thunderbolt, a king, the destroyer of fierce enemies, powerful because of the truth and the one who showers desires. Indra's powerful horses should take him to our yagna. (3)
ए॒वा पतिं॑ द्रोण॒साचं॒ सचे॑तसमू॒र्ज स्क॒म्भं ध॒रुण॒ आ वृ॑षायसे । ओजः॑ कृष्व॒ सं गृ॑भाय॒ त्वे अप्यसो॒ यथा॑ केनि॒पाना॑मि॒नो वृ॒धे ॥ (४)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे ऋत्विज्! ज्ञानी एवं शक्तिशाली द्रोण पात्र से सुसंगत होने वाले स्कंभ को जल में खींचो. मैं शक्तियों को बढ़ाने के हेतु तुम्हारे साथ रहूं. तुम मुझे बल और आश्रय दो. (४)
EN English Translation
O Ritvij! Draw the skambha, which is compatible with the knowledgeable and powerful drona vessel, into the water. Let me be with you to increase the powers. You give me strength and shelter. (4)
गम॑न्न॒स्मे वसू॒न्या हि शंसि॑षं स्वा॒शिषं॒ भर॒मा या॑हि सो॒मिनः॑ । त्वमी॑शिषे॒ सास्मिन्ना स॑त्सि ब॒र्हिष्य॑नाधृ॒ष्या तव॒ पात्रा॑णि॒ धर्म॑णा ॥ (५)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे इंद्र! इस स्तोता को तुम शुभ आशीर्वाद दो तथा इस यजमान में धन को प्रतिष्ठित करो. हे स्वामी इंद्र! इस सोम के गृह में आ कर कुश के इस आसन पर विराजमान हो जाओ तुम्हारे पात्र धारण शक्ति के कारण अपमान करने योग्य नहीं हैं. (५)
EN English Translation
O Indra! Give auspicious blessings to this stota and establish wealth in this host. O Swami Indra! Come to this Soma's house and sit on this seat of Kush, your characters are not insultable due to their power. (5)
पृथ॒क्प्राय॑न्प्रथ॒मा दे॒वहू॑त॒योऽकृ॑ण्वत श्रव॒स्यानि दु॒ष्टरा॑ । न ये शे॒कुर्य॒ज्ञियां॒ नाव॑मा॒रुह॑मी॒र्मैव ते न्य॑विशन्त॒ केप॑यः ॥ (६)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे इंद्र! जो जन अपने ज्ञान और कर्म के अनुसार देवयान आदि मार्गो में जाने की कामना करते हैं तथा जो सर्वसाधारण के लिए कष्टसाध्य देवहूति आदि कर्म करते हैं, वे तुम्हारी कृपा के अभाव में यज्ञरूपी नौका पर नहीं चढ़ पाते. इस कारण से वे साधारण कर्म करते हुए मृत्युलोक में ही रुके रहते हैं. (६)
EN English Translation
O Indra! Those who wish to go to the path of Devayan etc. according to their knowledge and karma and who do painful devhuti etc. for the common man, they are not able to board the yagya boat due to lack of your grace. For this reason, they stay in the land of death while doing simple deeds. (6)
ए॒वैवापा॒गप॑रे सन्तु दू॒ढ्योश्वा॒ येषां॑ दु॒र्युज॑ आयुयु॒ज्रे । इ॒त्था ये प्रागुप॑रे सन्ति दा॒वने॑ पु॒रूणि॒ यत्र॑ व॒युना॑नि॒ भोज॑ना ॥ (७)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
जिन अश्चों को दुर्युज नाम का सारथी रथ में जोड़ता है, वे कभी वृद्ध न हों. जो दाता को बहुत से भोज्य पदार्थों से युक्त बनाते हैं, वे मेघ हैं. (७)
EN English Translation
Those who are joined by a charioteer named Duryuz should never grow old. The clouds are the ones that make the giver rich in many foods. (7)
गि॒रीँरज्रा॒न्रेज॑मानाँ अधारय॒द्द्यौः क्र॑न्दद॒न्तरि॑क्षाणि कोपयत् । स॑मीची॒ने धि॒षणे॒ वि ष्क॑भायति॒ वृष्णः॑ पी॒त्वा मद॑ उ॒क्थानि॑ शंसति ॥ (८)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
सोमरस से हर्षित हुए इंद्र पर्वतों को धारण करते हैं, अंतरिक्ष के पदार्थो को कुपित करते हैं तथा झुलोक को कुंदनमय बनाते हैं. (८)
EN English Translation
Pleased with Someras, Indra holds the mountains, enrages the substances of space and makes the jhuloka kundanmaya. (8)
इ॒मं बि॑भर्मि॒ सुकृ॑तं ते अङ्कु॒शं येना॑रु॒जासि॑ मघवञ्छफा॒रुजः॑ । अ॒स्मिन्त्सु ते॒ सव॑ने अस्त्वो॒क्यं सु॒त इ॒ष्टौ म॑घवन्बो॒ध्याभ॑गः ॥ (९)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे इंद्र! मैं तुम्हारे अंकुश को धारण करता हूं. तुम अपने इस अंकुश के द्वारा नख वाले पीड़ा दाता प्राणियों को नष्ट करते हो. इस सवन में तुम प्रजा प्राप्त करो तथा सोमरस निष्पन्न हो जाने पर धन के जानने वाले बनो. (९)
EN English Translation
O Indra! I hold your control. Through this control of yours, you destroy the suffering creatures with nails. In this savan, you gain people and become the knowers of money when somerasa is born. (9)
गोभि॑ष्टरे॒माम॑तिं दु॒रेवां॒ यवे॑न॒ क्षुधं॑ पुरुहूत॒ विश्वा॑म् । व॒यं राज॑भिः प्रथ॒मा धना॑न्य॒स्माके॑न वृ॒जने॑ना जयेम ॥ (१०)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे अनेक पुरुषों द्वारा बुलाए गए इंद्र! हम यजमान तुम्हारे द्वारा दी हुई गायों के कारण दरिद्रता को लांघ जाएं. तुम ने हमें जो अन्न दिया है, उस से हम अपने भृत्यों, पुत्रों आदि की भूख मिटाएं. हम अपनी शक्ति से शत्रुओं पर विजय प्राप्त करें तथा अपने समान पुरुषों में श्रेष्ठ बन कर धन प्राप्त करें. (१०)
EN English Translation
O Indra called by many men! Let us hosts cross poverty because of the cows you have given. With the food you have given us, let us satisfy the hunger of our frowns, sons, etc. Let us conquer enemies with our power and become superior among men like us and get wealth. (10)
बृह॒स्पति॑र्नः॒ परि॑ पातु प॒श्चादु॒तोत्त॑रस्मा॒दध॑रादघा॒योः । इन्द्रः॑ पु॒रस्ता॑दु॒त म॑ध्य॒तो नः॒ सखा॒ सखि॑भ्यो॒ वरि॑वः कृणोतु ॥ (११)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
पूर्व दिशा से आते हुए हिंसक शत्रु से इंद्र हमारी रक्षा करें तथा हमें धन दें. पश्चिम, उत्तर और दक्षिण दिशा से आते हुए हिंसक शत्रुओं से बृहस्पति हमारी रक्षा करें. (११)
EN English Translation
Coming from the east direction, Indra should protect us from the violent enemy and give us money. Jupiter should protect us from violent enemies coming from west, north and south directions. (11)
