आयं गौः पृश्नि॑रक्रमी॒दस॑दन्मा॒तरं॑ पु॒रः । पि॒तरं॑ च प्र॒यन्त्स्वः॑ ॥ (१)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
ये अगमनशील और तेजस्वी सूर्य उदयाचल पर पहुंच कर पूर्व दिशा में दिखाई दे रहे हैं और अपनी किरणों से सभी प्राणियों की माता भूमि को व्याप्त कर रहे हैं. इन्होंने स्वर्ग और अंतरिक्ष को ढक लिया है. ये सूर्य वर्षा का जल देने के कारण गौ कहे जाते हैं. (१)
EN English Translation
These agni-catching and bright suns are visible in the east direction after reaching Udayachal and are pervading the mother land of all beings with their rays. They have covered heaven and space. These suns are called cows due to giving rainwater. (1)
अ॒न्तश्च॑रति रोच॒ना अ॒स्य प्रा॒णाद॑पान॒तः । व्यख्यन्महि॒षः स्वः ॥ (२)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
प्राण वायु ग्रहण करने के पश्चात अपान वायु छोड़ते हुए इस प्राणिसमूह के शरीर में सूर्य की प्रभा वर्तमान है. वह महान सूर्य स्वर्ग तथा सभी ऊपर वाले लोकों को प्रकाशित करता है. (२)
EN English Translation
After taking prana vayu, leaving its air, the sun's aura is present in the body of this animal group. He illuminates the great sun heaven and all the above worlds. (2)
त्रिं॒शद्धामा॒ वि रा॑जति॒ वाक्प॑त॒ङ्गो अ॑शि॒श्रिय॑त् । प्रति॒ वस्तो॒रह॒र्द्युभिः॑ ॥ (३)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
दिवस एवं रात के अवयव तीस मुहूर्त तेज के स्थान हैं और इस सूर्य की चमक से विराजमान रहते हैं. तीनों वेदों के रूप वाली वाणी भी सूर्य के आश्रय में ही रहती है. (३)
EN English Translation
The components of day and night are the places of thirty muhurat tej and sit with the brightness of this sun. The speech in the form of the three Vedas also lives in the shelter of the sun. (3)
