Kanda 6 • Sukta 43
अ॒यं द॒र्भो विम॑न्युकः॒ स्वाय॒ चार॑णाय च । म॒न्योर्वि॑मन्युकस्या॒यं म॑न्यु॒शम॑न उच्यते ॥ (१)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
यह दर्भ अर्थात् कुश अपनी जातियों और शत्रुओं के क्रोध के विनाश का कारण है. यह क्रोध करने वाले शत्रु तथा परमार्थ रूप से क्रोधाविष्ट आत्मीय का क्रोध शांत करने का उपाय कहा जाता है. (१)
EN English Translation
This darbha i.e. Kush is the cause of the destruction of the anger of its jatis and enemies. It is said to be a way to calm the anger of the angry enemy and the spiritually angry soul. (1)
अ॒यं यो भूरि॑मूलः समु॒द्रम॑व॒तिष्ठ॑ति । द॒र्भः पृ॑थि॒व्या उत्थि॑तो मन्यु॒शम॑न उच्यते ॥ (२)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
अधिक जड़ों वाला यह कुश अधिक जल वाले भाग में स्थित है. पृथ्वी पर ऊपर की ओर उठा हुआ कुश क्रोध शांत करने वाला बताया जाता है. (२)
EN English Translation
This kush with more roots is located in the area with more water. Kush, raised upwards on earth, is said to calm anger. (2)
वि ते॑ हन॒व्यां श॒रणिं॒ वि ते॒ मुख्यां॑ नयामसि । यथा॑व॒शो न वादि॑षो॒ मम॑ चि॒त्तमु॒पाय॑सि ॥ (३)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे पुरुष! हम तेरी उस ध्वनि को नम्र बनाते हैं, जो क्रोध व्यक्त करने वाली है. हम तेरे मुख की उस ध्वनि को भी शांत बनाते हैं जो क्रोध को उत्पन्न करती है. तात्पर्य यह है कि हम तेरा क्रोध शांत करते हैं. तू हमारे विरोध में बोलने में समर्थ न हो. इस प्रकार हम तेरा मन अपने मन में मिलाते हैं. (३)
EN English Translation
O man! We humble your voice that is expressing anger. We also calm the sound of your mouth that produces anger. The implication is that we calm your anger. You are not able to speak against us. In this way, we mix your mind in our mind. (3)
