अरा॑यि॒ काणे॒ विक॑टे गि॒रिं ग॑च्छ सदान्वे । शि॒रिम्बि॑ठस्य॒ सत्व॑भि॒स्तेभि॑ष्ट्वा चातयामसि ॥ (१)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे दानविरोधिनी, बुरा शब्द करने वाली, विकृत गमन वाली व सदा क्रोध करने वाली दरिद्रता! तुम पर्वत पर जाओ. मैं शिरिंबिष्ठ अपने उपायों से तुम्हें दूर भेजता हूं. (१)
EN English Translation
O anti-charity, evil-mouthing, perverted, and ever-angering poverty! You go to the mountain. I send you away with my own remedies. (1)
च॒त्तो इ॒तश्च॒त्तामुतः॒ सर्वा॑ भ्रू॒णान्या॒रुषी॑ । अ॒रा॒य्यं॑ ब्रह्मणस्पते॒ तीक्ष्ण॑शृङ्गोदृ॒षन्नि॑हि ॥ (२)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
जो दरिद्रता वृक्ष, लता, मानव आदि को नष्ट करने वाली है, उसे मैं इस लोक और परलोक से दूर करता हूं. हे तीक्ष्ण तेज वाले ब्रह्मणस्पति! इस दान विरोधिनी दरिद्रता को यहां से दूर करो. (२)
EN English Translation
I remove the poverty which is going to destroy the tree, the creeper, the human being, etc., from this world and the hereafter. O Brahmanaspati with sharp speed! Remove this dan antagonistic poverty from here. (2)
अ॒दो यद्दारु॒ प्लव॑ते॒ सिन्धोः॑ पा॒रे अ॑पूरु॒षम् । तदा र॑भस्व दुर्हणो॒ तेन॑ गच्छ परस्त॒रम् ॥ (३)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
सागर के किनारे पर जो लड़की तैर रही है, उसका कोई स्वामी नहीं है. हे दुःख से नष्ट करने योग्य दरिद्रता! तुम इस पर बैठकर दूसरी पार चली जाओ. (३)
EN English Translation
The girl who is swimming on the shore of the ocean has no master. O poverty worthy of sorrow! You sit on it and go the other way. (3)
यद्ध॒ प्राची॒रज॑ग॒न्तोरो॑ मण्डूरधाणिकीः । ह॒ता इन्द्र॑स्य॒ शत्र॑वः॒ सर्वे॑ बुद्बु॒दया॑शवः ॥ (४)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे मंडूक के समान बुरा शब्द करने वाली एवं हिंसा करने वाली दरिद्रताओ! जब तुम तेज चाल से चली जाती हो, तब इंद्र के सब शत्रु नष्ट होकर बुलबुले के समान सो जाते हैं. (४)
EN English Translation
O you, the poor who make evil words and commit violence like Manduk! When you go at a fast pace, all of Indra's enemies are destroyed and fall asleep like a bubble. (4)
परी॒मे गाम॑नेषत॒ पर्य॒ग्निम॑हृषत । दे॒वेष्व॑क्रत॒ श्रवः॒ क इ॒माँ आ द॑धर्षति ॥ (५)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
इन देवों ने पणियों द्वारा चुराई गई गायों को छुड़ाया है, अग्नि को अनेक स्थानों में स्थापित किया है एवं देवों को अन्न दिया है. इन पर कौन आक्रमण कर सकता है? (५)
EN English Translation
These gods have rescued the cows stolen by the pangs, installed the agni in many places and given food to the gods. Who can attack them? (5)
