तुभ्ये॒दमि॑न्द्र॒ परि॑ षिच्यते॒ मधु॒ त्वं सु॒तस्य॑ क॒लश॑स्य राजसि । त्वं र॒यिं पु॑रु॒वीरा॑मु नस्कृधि॒ त्वं तपः॑ परि॒तप्या॑जयः॒ स्वः॑ ॥ (१)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे इंद्र! यह मधुर सोमरस तुम्हारे लिए निचोड़ा गया है. इस सोमरस भरे कलश के स्वामी तुम ही हो. तुम हमें अधिक संतान वाला धन दो. तुमने तपस्या करके स्वर्ग को जीता है. (१)
EN English Translation
O Indra! This sweet somras has been squeezed for you. You are the master of this somras-filled urn. You give us more child money. You have conquered heaven by penance. (1)
स्व॒र्जितं॒ महि॑ मन्दा॒नमन्ध॑सो॒ हवा॑महे॒ परि॑ श॒क्रं सु॒ताँ उप॑ । इ॒मं नो॑ य॒ज्ञमि॒ह बो॒ध्या ग॑हि॒ स्पृधो॒ जय॑न्तं म॒घवा॑नमीमहे ॥ (२)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हम स्वर्ग को जीतने वाले व सोमपान से प्रसन्न इंद्र को निचोड़े हुए सोमरस के समीप बुलाते हैं. हे इंद्र! हमारे इस यज्ञ को जानो तथा यहां आओ. हम शत्रुविजयी इंद्र की शरण में आए हैं. (२)
EN English Translation
We call Indra, who conquers heaven and is pleased with sompan, near the squeezed somras. O Indra! Get to know this sacrifice of ours and come here. We have come to the refuge of the enemy,the conqueror Indra. (2)
सोम॑स्य॒ राज्ञो॒ वरु॑णस्य॒ धर्म॑णि॒ बृह॒स्पते॒रनु॑मत्या उ॒ शर्म॑णि । तवा॒हम॒द्य म॑घव॒न्नुप॑स्तुतौ॒ धात॒र्विधा॑तः क॒लशा॑ँ अभक्षयम् ॥ (३)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे धनी इंद्र! राजा सोम एवं वरुण के धर्म तथा बृहस्पति संबंधी यज्ञशाला में वर्तमान मैं तुम्हारी स्तुति में संलग्न हूं. हे धाता और विधाता! मैंने तुम्हारी आज्ञा से कलश में रखा सोम पिया है. (३)
EN English Translation
O rich Indra! At the present I am engaged in the praise of you in the yajnashala of the religion of King Som and Varuna and jupiter. O dhata and vidhata! I have drunk the mon placed in the urn by your command. (3)
प्रसू॑तो भ॒क्षम॑करं च॒रावपि॒ स्तोमं॑ चे॒मं प्र॑थ॒मः सू॒रिरुन्मृ॑जे । सु॒ते सा॒तेन॒ यद्याग॑मं वां॒ प्रति॑ विश्वामित्रजमदग्नी॒ दमे॑ ॥ (४)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे इंद्र! मैंने तुमसे प्रेरित होकर यज्ञ में पुरोडाश तैयार किया है. मैं सर्वप्रथम स्तोता के रूप में यह स्तोत्र बोलता हूं. (इंद्र का उत्तर) है विश्वामित्र एवं जमदग्नि! सोमरस तैयार होने पर मैं जिस समय तुम्हारे पास आऊं, उस समय तुम अपने घर में मेरी स्तुति करना. (४)
EN English Translation
O Indra! Inspired by you, I have prepared Purodash in the Yagya. I first speak this stotra in the form of a hymn. (Answer of Indra) Vishwamitra and Jamadagni! When I come to you after the somras is ready, at that time you should praise me in your house. (4)
