प्र सू॒नव॑ ऋभू॒णां बृ॒हन्न॑वन्त वृ॒जना॑ । क्षामा॒ ये वि॒श्वधा॑य॒सोऽश्न॑न्धे॒नुं न मा॒तर॑म् ॥ (१)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
ऋभुओं के पुत्र विशाल युद्ध करने के लिए निकले. बछड़ा जिस प्रकार दुधारू गाय के दूध को पीता है, उसी प्रकार ऋभुगण सारी धरती पर फैल गए. (१)
EN English Translation
The sons of the sages went out to wage a great battle. Just as the calf drinks the milk of the milch cow, so the sages spread all over the earth. (1)
प्र दे॒वं दे॒व्या धि॒या भर॑ता जा॒तवे॑दसम् । ह॒व्या नो॑ वक्षदानु॒षक् ॥ (२)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे ऋत्विजो! ज्ञानी अग्नि देव को दिव्य स्तोत्र से प्रसन्न करो. अग्नि विधि के अनुसार हमारा हव्य वहन करें. (२)
EN English Translation
Hey Ritvijo! Please the wise agni god with the divine hymn. Carry our havya according to the agni method. (2)
अ॒यमु॒ ष्य प्र दे॑व॒युर्होता॑ य॒ज्ञाय॑ नीयते । रथो॒ न योर॒भीवृ॑तो॒ घृणी॑वाञ्चेतति॒ त्मना॑ ॥ (३)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
ये वही अग्नि हैं, जो देवों के यजन की अभिलाषा रखते हैं एवं होता हैं. यज्ञ के लिए इन्हें स्थापित किया जाता है. अग्नि रथ के समान हव्यवहनकर्ता, ऋत्विज्, यजमान आदि से घिरे हुए, किरणों से युक्त एवं स्वयं ही यज्ञ पूरा करने वाले हैं. (३)
EN English Translation
These are the same agnis that desire and do desire the yajna of the gods. They are installed for yajna. Like a agni chariot, the havankaras, surrounded by ritwijs, hosts, etc., are full of rays and are going to complete the yajna themselves. (3)
अ॒यम॒ग्निरु॑रुष्यत्य॒मृता॑दिव॒ जन्म॑नः । सह॑सश्चि॒त्सही॑यान्दे॒वो जी॒वात॑वे कृ॒तः ॥ (४)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
ये आने देवों के समान मानवों के भय से भी रक्षा करते हैं. यह अतिशय शक्तिशाली एवं आयुवृद्धि के लिए उत्पन्न हुए हैं. (४)
EN English Translation
These come protects from the fear of human beings like the gods. They are very powerful and have arisen for lifespan. (4)
