अच्छा॑ म॒ इन्द्रं॑ म॒तयः॑ स्व॒र्विदः॑ स॒ध्रीची॒र्विश्वा॑ उश॒तीर॑नूषत । परि॑ ष्वजन्ते॒ जन॑यो॒ यथा॒ पतिं॒ मर्यं॒ न शु॒न्ध्युं म॒घवा॑नमू॒तये॑ ॥ (१)

मुझ अंगिरागोत्रीय कृष्ण ऋषि की सब कुछ प्राप्त कराने वाली, विस्तृत एवं अभिलाषापूर्ण स्तुतियां इंद्र की भली प्रकार स्तुति करती हैं. पत्नियां जिस प्रकार पति का स्पर्श करती हैं, उसी प्रकार मेरी स्तुतियां रक्षा पाने के हेतु धनस्वामी इंद्र के समीप जाती हैं. (१)
EN English Translation
The receiving, detailed and wishing praises of me, the sage Krishna, who has received everything, praises Indra very well. Just as wives touch their husbands, so my praises go to Indra, dhanaswami to seek protection. (1)
न घा॑ त्व॒द्रिगप॑ वेति मे॒ मन॒स्त्वे इत्कामं॑ पुरुहूत शिश्रय । राजे॑व दस्म॒ नि ष॒दोऽधि॑ ब॒र्हिष्य॒स्मिन्सु सोमे॑ऽव॒पान॑मस्तु ते ॥ (२)

हे बहुतों द्वारा बुलाए गए एवं दर्शनीय इंद्र! तुम्हारी ओर अभिमुख मेरा मन अन्य किसी की ओर नहीं जाता है. मैं अपनी अभिलाषा तुम्हीं पर स्थापित करता हूं. राजा जिस प्रकार अपने महल में बैठता है, उसी प्रकार तुम यज्ञ के कुशों पर बैठो. इस शोभन सोम के प्रति तुम्हारी पीने की अभिलाषा हो. (२)
EN English Translation
O Indra, called and seen by many! My mind, oriented towards you, goes to no one else. I set my desire on you. Just as the king sits in his palace, so you sit on the kushas of the yajna. May you have a desire to drink towards this Shobhan Mon. (2)
वि॒षू॒वृदिन्द्रो॒ अम॑तेरु॒त क्षु॒धः स इद्रा॒यो म॒घवा॒ वस्व॑ ईशते । तस्येदि॒मे प्र॑व॒णे स॒प्त सिन्ध॑वो॒ वयो॑ वर्धन्ति वृष॒भस्य॑ शु॒ष्मिणः॑ ॥ (३)

इंद्र दुर्बुद्धि और भूख से बचाने के लिए हमारे चारों ओर रहें. वे ही धनस्वामी इंद्र समस्त संपत्तियों के स्वामी हैं. अभिलाषापूरक एवं तेजस्वी की आज्ञा से ये सात नदियां देश में अन्न बढ़ाती हैं. (३)
EN English Translation
Stay around us to protect us from Indra Durbuddha and hunger. He is the lord of all the properties. These seven rivers increase the food grains in the country by the command of the wisher and the bright. (3)
वयो॒ न वृ॒क्षं सु॑पला॒शमास॑द॒न्सोमा॑स॒ इन्द्रं॑ म॒न्दिन॑श्चमू॒षदः॑ । प्रैषा॒मनी॑कं॒ शव॑सा॒ दवि॑द्युतद्वि॒दत्स्व१॒॑र्मन॑वे॒ ज्योति॒रार्य॑म् ॥ (४)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
पक्षी जिस प्रकार शोभन पत्तों वाले वृक्षों का सहारा लेते हैं, उसी प्रकार नशा करने वाले एवं पात्रों में भरे हुए सोम इंद्र के पास जाते हैं. सोम के नशे से इंद्र का मुख चमकने लगता है. इंद्र मनुष्यों के लिए सूर्य नामक उत्तम ज्योति दें. (४)
EN English Translation
Just as birds resort to trees with sociable leaves, so do drunkards and loaded in characters go to Som Indra. Indra's face begins to glow from Som's intoxication. Indra give the perfect light called the Sun to humans. (4)
कृ॒तं न श्व॒घ्नी वि चि॑नोति॒ देव॑ने सं॒वर्गं॒ यन्म॒घवा॒ सूर्यं॒ जय॑त् । न तत्ते॑ अ॒न्यो अनु॑ वी॒र्यं॑ शक॒न्न पु॑रा॒णो म॑घव॒न्नोत नूत॑नः ॥ (५)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
जुआरी जिस प्रकार जुआघर में अपने को जीतने वाले दूसरे जुआरी को खोजता है, उसी प्रकार धनस्वामी इंद्र वर्षा का विरोध करने वाले सूर्य को हराने के लिए ढूंढ़ता है. हे धनस्वामी इंद्र! कोई भी नया-पुराना व्यक्ति तुम्हारी शक्ति के अनुसार काम नहीं कर सकता. (५)
EN English Translation
Just as a gambler looks for another gambler to win himself in the gambling house, so dhanaswami Indra looks for defeating the sun that opposes the rain. O Dhanaswami Indra! No new and old person can act according to your power. (5)
विशं॑विशं म॒घवा॒ पर्य॑शायत॒ जना॑नां॒ धेना॑ अव॒चाक॑श॒द्वृषा॑ । यस्याह॑ श॒क्रः सव॑नेषु॒ रण्य॑ति॒ स ती॒व्रैः सोमैः॑ सहते पृतन्य॒तः ॥ (६)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
धनस्वामी इंद्र प्रत्येक मनुष्य में सोते हैं. अभिलाषापूरक इंद्र मनुष्यों की स्तुतियों पर ध्यान देते हैं. शक्र जिसके यज्ञों में रमण करते हैं, वह नशीला सोमरस पीकर शत्रुओं को पराजित करता है. (६)
EN English Translation
Indra, the wealthowner, sleeps in every human being. The wishful Indra pays attention to the praises of human beings. The one in whose sacrifices The Shakra performs Raman, he defeats the enemies by drinking the intoxicating Someras. (6)
आपो॒ न सिन्धु॑म॒भि यत्स॒मक्ष॑र॒न्सोमा॑स॒ इन्द्रं॑ कु॒ल्या इ॑व ह्र॒दम् । वर्ध॑न्ति॒ विप्रा॒ महो॑ अस्य॒ साद॑ने॒ यवं॒ न वृ॒ष्टिर्दि॒व्येन॒ दानु॑ना ॥ (७)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
जब सोमरस सागर की ओर जाने वाली नदियों के समान अथवा तालाब की ओर जाने वाली नालियों के समान इंद्र के पास जाते हैं, तब मेधावी ब्राह्मण यज्ञ में इंद्र का तेज वर्षा के दिव्य जल से बढ़े हुए जौ के समान बढ़ा देते हैं. (७)
EN English Translation
When the Somras go to Indra like the rivers leading to the sea or like the drains leading to the pond, the meritorious Brahmins raise Indra in the yajna like barley increased by the divine waters of the rain. (7)
वृषा॒ न क्रु॒द्धः प॑तय॒द्रज॒स्स्वा यो अ॒र्यप॑त्नी॒रकृ॑णोदि॒मा अ॒पः । स सु॑न्व॒ते म॒घवा॑ जी॒रदा॑न॒वेऽवि॑न्द॒ज्ज्योति॒र्मन॑वे ह॒विष्म॑ते ॥ (८)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
लोकों में जिस प्रकार एक बैल क्रोध में भरकर दूसरे बैल की ओर झपटता है, उसी प्रकार इंद्र मेघ को मारकर अपने द्वारा पालने योग्य जलों को हमारी ओर प्रेरित करते हैं. धनस्वामी इंद्र सोमरस निचोड़ने वाले, शीघ्र दानकर्ता एवं हव्य धारक यजमान के लिए तेज प्रदान करते हैं. (८)
EN English Translation
In the folks, just as one bull is filled with anger and pounces towards another bull, so Indra kills the cloud and inspires the waters he can sustain towards us. Dhanaswami Indra Somras provides speed for the squeezing, quick donor and havya holder host. (8)
उज्जा॑यतां पर॒शुर्ज्योति॑षा स॒ह भू॒या ऋ॒तस्य॑ सु॒दुघा॑ पुराण॒वत् । वि रो॑चतामरु॒षो भा॒नुना॒ शुचिः॒ स्व१॒॑र्ण शु॒क्रं शु॑शुचीत॒ सत्प॑तिः ॥ (९)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
इंद्र का वज्र तेजी के साथ हमारे शत्रुओं के वध में लग जावे. यज्ञ को दोहन करने वाली बातें प्राचीन काल के समान हों. इंद्र प्रकाशित होते हुए अपनी दीप्ति से शुद्धतापूर्वक तेज धारण करें. सज्जनों के पालक इंद्र सूर्य के समान प्रज्वलित होते हुए दीप्त हों. (९)
EN English Translation
Let indra's thunderbolt rapidly get involved in the killing of our enemies. The things that exploit the yajna should be similar to those of ancient times. Wear the brightness of your brightness purely as Indra is illuminated. May indra, the guardian of the gentlemen, be as bright as the sun. (9)
गोभि॑ष्टरे॒माम॑तिं दु॒रेवां॒ यवे॑न॒ क्षुधं॑ पुरुहूत॒ विश्वा॑म् । व॒यं राज॑भिः प्रथ॒मा धना॑न्य॒स्माके॑न वृ॒जने॑ना जयेम ॥ (१०)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे बहुतों द्वारा बुलाए गए इंद्र! हम दरिद्रता से आई हुई दुर्बुद्धि को तुम्हारी कृपा से पशुओं की सहायता से पार करें एवं यज्ञों द्वारा अपनी विस्तृत भूख शांत करें. हम राजाओं के साथ रहकर अपनी शक्ति द्वारा मुख्य धनों को प्राप्त करें. (१०)
EN English Translation
O Indra called by many! Let us overcome the evil that has come from poverty with the help of animals by your grace and calm our wide hunger through yajnas. We achieve the main wealth by staying with the kings by our power. (10)
बृह॒स्पति॑र्नः॒ परि॑ पातु प॒श्चादु॒तोत्त॑रस्मा॒दध॑रादघा॒योः । इन्द्रः॑ पु॒रस्ता॑दु॒त म॑ध्य॒तो नः॒ सखा॒ सखि॑भ्यो॒ वरि॑वः कृणोतु ॥ (११)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
बृहस्पति हमें पापी शत्रु से पश्चिम, उत्तर और दक्षिण दिशाओं में बचावें. इंद्र पूर्व और मध्य भाग में हमारी रक्षा करें. हम मित्रों के मित्र इंद्र हमें धन दें. (११)
EN English Translation
Jupiter protects us from sinful enemies in the west, north and south directions. Indra protect us in the east and central part. We friends' friends Indra give us money. (11)
