एकः॑ समु॒द्रो ध॒रुणो॑ रयी॒णाम॒स्मद्धृ॒दो भूरि॑जन्मा॒ वि च॑ष्टे । सिष॒क्त्यूध॑र्नि॒ण्योरु॒पस्थ॒ उत्स॑स्य॒ मध्ये॒ निहि॑तं प॒दं वेः ॥ (१)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
धनों के उदगम, धनों को धारण करने वाले, अनोखे एवं विविध जन्मों वाले अग्नि हमारे मन की अभिलाषाओं को जानते हैं तथा अंतरिक्ष के समीप वर्तमान रहकर रात्रि का सेवन करते हैं. हे अग्नि! मेघ में छिपे हुए स्थान पर जाओ. (१)
EN English Translation
The agnis of the origin of wealth, those holding wealth, those of unique and diverse births know the desires of our mind and consume the night by staying present near space. O agni! Go to the hidden place in the cloud. (1)
स॒मा॒नं नी॒ळं वृष॑णो॒ वसा॑नाः॒ सं ज॑ग्मिरे महि॒षा अर्व॑तीभिः । ऋ॒तस्य॑ प॒दं क॒वयो॒ नि पा॑न्ति॒ गुहा॒ नामा॑नि दधिरे॒ परा॑णि ॥ (२)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
आहुतियां पूर्ण करने वाले यजमान एकमात्र अग्नि को मंत्रों से आच्छादित करके घोड़ियों को प्राप्त कर चुके हैं. बुद्धिमान् लोग जल के निवासस्थान अग्नि की रक्षा करते हैं एवं अंतरिक्ष में स्थित अग्नि के दिव्य नामों को हृदय में धारण करते हैं. (२)
EN English Translation
Hosts who fulfill the offerings have received the mares by covering the only agni with mantras. Wise people protect the agni, the abode of water, and hold the divine names of agni in space in their hearts. (2)
ऋ॒ता॒यिनी॑ मा॒यिनी॒ सं द॑धाते मि॒त्वा शिशुं॑ जज्ञतुर्व॒र्धय॑न्ती । विश्व॑स्य॒ नाभिं॒ चर॑तो ध्रु॒वस्य॑ क॒वेश्चि॒त्तन्तुं॒ मन॑सा वि॒यन्तः॑ ॥ (३)

सत्य एवं यज्ञकर्म से युक्त द्यावा-पृथिवी अग्नि को धारण करते हैं एवं समय की सीमा में घिरे शिशुरूप अग्नि को माता-पिता के समान बढ़ाते हैं. मनुष्य सभी स्थावर और जंगम प्राणियों की नाभि के समान प्रधान तथा मेधावी वैश्वानर नामक अग्नि का मन में ध्यान करते हुए सुखी होते हैं. (३)
EN English Translation
The dyava-prithvis, which are full of truth and yajnakarma, hold agni and increase the infantile agni like a parent surrounded by time limits. Human beings are happy to meditate in their minds on the agni of the great and meritorious Vaishnavar, like the navel of all immovable and movable beings. (3)
ऋ॒तस्य॒ हि व॑र्त॒नयः॒ सुजा॑त॒मिषो॒ वाजा॑य प्र॒दिवः॒ सच॑न्ते । अ॒धी॒वा॒सं रोद॑सी वावसा॒ने घृ॒तैरन्नै॑र्वावृधाते॒ मधू॑नाम् ॥ (४)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
यज्ञ आरंभ करने वाले, अभिलषित वस्तुओं के इच्छुक एवं प्राचीन यजमान शक्ति पाने के लिए शोभनजन्म वाले अग्नि की सेवा करते हैं. सारे संसार के ढकने वाले द्यावा-पृथिवी ने तीनों लोकों में तीन रूप में रहने वाले अग्नि को जलों से संबंधित अन्नों की सहायता से बढ़ाया. (४)
EN English Translation
Those who initiate yajna, desirous of the desired objects and the ancient host serve the agni with shobhanajanam to gain strength. The covering of the whole world, Dyava-Prithvivi, increased the agni in three forms in the three realms with the help of grains related to water. (4)
स॒प्त स्वसॄ॒ररु॑षीर्वावशा॒नो वि॒द्वान्मध्व॒ उज्ज॑भारा दृ॒शे कम् । अ॒न्तर्ये॑मे अ॒न्तरि॑क्षे पुरा॒जा इ॒च्छन्व॒व्रिम॑विदत्पूष॒णस्य॑ ॥ (५)

स्तोताओं द्वारा प्रशंसित व सबको जानने वाले अग्ने ने सारी बहिनों के समान दीप्तिपूर्ण सात किरणों को मादकतापूर्ण यज्ञ से इसलिए ऊपर उठाया कि सुखपूर्वक सब पदार्थो को देख सकें. प्राचीन काल में उत्पन्न अन्ने ने द्यावा-पृथिवी के मध्य में स्थित अंतरिक्ष में अपनी किरणों को नियमित किया. यजमानों की अभिलाषा करने वाले अग्नि ने धरती को अपना वर्षावाला रूप दिया. (५)
EN English Translation
Admired by the Psalms and known to all, Agne lifted up the seven rays as radiant as all the sisters from the intoxicating yajna so that he could gladly see all the substances. Anne, born in ancient times, regularized his rays in space in the middle of Dyava-Prithvi. The agni that desired the hosts gave the earth its rainy form. (5)
स॒प्त म॒र्यादाः॑ क॒वय॑स्ततक्षु॒स्तासा॒मेका॒मिद॒भ्यं॑हु॒रो गा॑त् । आ॒योर्ह॑ स्क॒म्भ उ॑प॒मस्य॑ नी॒ळे प॒थां वि॑स॒र्गे ध॒रुणे॑षु तस्थौ ॥ (६)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
मेधावियों ने सात मर्यादाओं को छोड़ दिया है. इन कार्यो में से एक को करने वाला भी पाप को प्राप्त करता है. मनुष्यों को पाप से रोकने वाले अग्नि समीपवर्ती मानवलोक में, सूर्यकिरणों के विचरने के स्थान में एवं जलों में रहते हैं. (६)
EN English Translation
The meritorious have left out seven limitations. The one who does one of these things also achieves sin. The agnis that prevent humans from sin live in the nearby human world, in the place where the sun radiates are scattered, and in the waters. (6)
अस॑च्च॒ सच्च॑ पर॒मे व्यो॑म॒न्दक्ष॑स्य॒ जन्म॒न्नदि॑तेरु॒पस्थे॑ । अ॒ग्निर्ह॑ नः प्रथम॒जा ऋ॒तस्य॒ पूर्व॒ आयु॑नि वृष॒भश्च॑ धे॒नुः ॥ (७)

अन्ने सृष्टि से पहले अव्यक्त ओर सृष्टि के पश्चात् व्यक्त रूप में रहते हैं. अग्नि ने परम धाम आकाश में सूर्य से जन्म पाया है. अग्नि हमसे पहले उत्पन्न हुए हैं एवं यज्ञ से पहले वर्तमान थे. वे गाय ओर बैल दोनों रूपों में हैं. (७)
EN English Translation
The ane is latent before creation and remains in the form expressed after creation. Fire has been born from the sun in the supreme dham sky. Fire originated before us and was present before the yagna. They are in both forms of cow and bull. (7)
