स्व॒स्ति नो॑ दि॒वो अ॑ग्ने पृथि॒व्या वि॒श्वायु॑र्धेहि य॒जथा॑य देव । सचे॑महि॒ तव॑ दस्म प्रके॒तैरु॑रु॒ष्या ण॑ उ॒रुभि॑र्देव॒ शंसैः॑ ॥ (१)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे दिव्यगुण युक्त अग्नि! हम यज्ञकर्तताओं के लिए द्यावा-पृथिवी से लाकर कल्याण प्रदान करो. हे दर्शनीय अग्नि! हम तुम्हें प्राप्त करें. तुम अनेक प्रशंसनीय रक्षासाधनों से हमारी रक्षा करो. (१)
EN English Translation
O agni of divine virtue! Let us bring from Dyava-Prithvivi to the yajnakartas and provide welfare. O glorious agni! We get you. You protect us with many admirable defense tools. (1)
इ॒मा अ॑ग्ने म॒तय॒स्तुभ्यं॑ जा॒ता गोभि॒रश्वै॑र॒भि गृ॑णन्ति॒ राधः॑ । य॒दा ते॒ मर्तो॒ अनु॒ भोग॒मान॒ड्वसो॒ दधा॑नो म॒तिभिः॑ सुजात ॥ (२)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे अग्नि! ये स्तुतियां तुम्हारे लिए बोली गई हैं. तुम अश्वों और गायों के साथ हमारे लिए धन देते हो, इसलिए हम तुम्हारी स्तुति करते हैं. हे तेज से सबको ढकने वाले, शोभनकमो से उत्पन्न एवं हमें धन देने वाले अग्नि! जब लोग तुम्हारा दिया हुआ धन प्राप्त करते हैं, तब तुम्हारी स्तुति की जाती है. (२)
EN English Translation
O agni! These praises have been spoken for you. You give money to us with horses and cows, so we praise you. O agni that covers everyone with radiance, produces from adornment and gives us money! When people receive the money you have given, you are praised. (2)
अ॒ग्निं म॑न्ये पि॒तर॑म॒ग्निमा॒पिम॒ग्निं भ्रात॑रं॒ सद॒मित्सखा॑यम् । अ॒ग्नेरनी॑कं बृह॒तः स॑पर्यं दि॒वि शु॒क्रं य॑ज॒तं सूर्य॑स्य ॥ (३)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
मैं अग्नि को ही पिता, बंधु, भ्राता तथा नित्य मित्र मानता हूं. मैं अग्नि के मुख की उसी प्रकार सेवा करता हूं, जिस प्रकार द्युलोक में स्थित, पूजायोग्य एवं दीप्तिशाली सूर्यमंडल की आराधना की जाती है. (३)
EN English Translation
I consider Agni to be a father, a brother, a brother and a constant friend. I serve the mouth of agni in the same way as the worshipable and radiant Suryamandal, located in Duloka, is worshipped. (3)
सि॒ध्रा अ॑ग्ने॒ धियो॑ अ॒स्मे सनु॑त्री॒र्यं त्राय॑से॒ दम॒ आ नित्य॑होता । ऋ॒तावा॒ स रो॒हिद॑श्वः पुरु॒क्षुर्द्युभि॑रस्मा॒ अह॑भिर्वा॒मम॑स्तु ॥ (४)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे अग्नि! तुम्हारे विषय में हमारे द्वारा की गई स्तुतियां पूर्ण हुई हैं. हे नित्य होता व यज्ञयुक्त अग्नि! तुम हमारी यज्ञशाला में उपस्थित रहकर हमारी रक्षा करते हो. मैं तुम्हारे सहयोग से यज्ञकर्ता बनूं तथा लाल रंग के घोड़े एवं बहुत सा धन प्राप्त करूं, जिससे उत्तम दिवसों में तुम्हें हव्य मिल सके. (४)
EN English Translation
O agni! Our praises about you have been fulfilled. It was a routine and a agni! You protect us by being present in our yajnashala. I will become a yajnakarta with your help and get red horses and a lot of money, so that you can get a havan in the best days. (4)
द्युभि॑र्हि॒तं मि॒त्रमि॑व प्र॒योगं॑ प्र॒त्नमृ॒त्विज॑मध्व॒रस्य॑ जा॒रम् । बा॒हुभ्या॑म॒ग्निमा॒यवो॑ऽजनन्त वि॒क्षु होता॑रं॒ न्य॑सादयन्त ॥ (५)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
दीप्तियों से युक्त, मित्र के समान युक्त करने योग्य, पुराने ऋत्विज् एवं यज्ञ को समाप्त करने वाले अग्नि को यजमानों ने भुजाओं द्वारा उत्पन्न किया तथा देवों को बुलाने का काम सौंपा. (५)
EN English Translation
The agni, which was filled with lights, fitted with a friend, ending the old ritvij and the yagna, was produced by the hosts through the arms and entrusted with the task of calling the gods. (5)
स्व॒यं य॑जस्व दि॒वि दे॑व दे॒वान्किं ते॒ पाकः॑ कृणव॒दप्र॑चेताः । यथाय॑ज ऋ॒तुभि॑र्देव दे॒वाने॒वा य॑जस्व त॒न्वं॑ सुजात ॥ (६)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे दीप्तिशाली अग्नि! तुम द्युलोक में रहने वाले देवों का यज्ञ करो. कच्ची बुद्धि वाले और ज्ञानरहित लोग तुम्हारे बिना क्या कर सकेंगे? हे शोभन जन्म वाले अग्नि! तुमने जिस प्रकार समयसमय पर देवों के यज्ञ किए हैं, उसी प्रकार अपना भी यज्ञ करो. (६)
EN English Translation
O glorious agni! You perform the yajna of the gods living in Dulok. What can people with raw intelligence and without knowledge do without you? O agni of glory born! Just as you have performed the yagnas of the gods from time to time, so do your own yajna. (6)
भवा॑ नो अग्नेऽवि॒तोत गो॒पा भवा॑ वय॒स्कृदु॒त नो॑ वयो॒धाः । रास्वा॑ च नः सुमहो ह॒व्यदा॑तिं॒ त्रास्वो॒त न॑स्त॒न्वो॒३॒॑ अप्र॑युच्छन् ॥ (७)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे अग्नि! तुम दृष्ट और अदृष्ट दोनों प्रकार के भयों से हमारी रक्षा करो. तुम हमारे लिए अन्न उत्पन्न करो एवं अन्न दो. हे शोभन पूजा योग्य अग्नि! तुम हमें हव्य सामग्री का दान करो एवं हमारे शरीरों का पालन करो. (७)
EN English Translation
O agni! Protect us from fears of both the seeing and the unseen. You produce food for us and give us food. O shobhan worshipable agni! You donate the human things to us and follow our bodies. (7)
