त्वया॑ मन्यो स॒रथ॑मारु॒जन्तो॒ हर्ष॑माणासो धृषि॒ता म॑रुत्वः । ति॒ग्मेष॑व॒ आयु॑धा सं॒शिशा॑ना अ॒भि प्र य॑न्तु॒ नरो॑ अ॒ग्निरू॑पाः ॥ (१)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे मरुतों से युक्त मन्यु! तुम्हारे साथ एक रथ पर बैठकर जाते हुए प्रसन्न, धृष्ट, तीखे बाणों वाले, आयुधों को तेज करते हुए एवं अग्नि के समान शत्रुओं को जलाने वाले नेता देव हमारी सहायता के लिए युद्ध में आवें. (१)
EN English Translation
O Manu with maruts! May god, the leader who sits with you on a chariot, who sits with you on a chariot, is pleased, arrogant, sharp with sharp arrows, sharpening the arms and burning enemies like agni, may God come to war to help us. (1)
अ॒ग्निरि॑व मन्यो त्विषि॒तः स॑हस्व सेना॒नीर्नः॑ सहुरे हू॒त ए॑धि । ह॒त्वाय॒ शत्रू॒न्वि भ॑जस्व॒ वेद॒ ओजो॒ मिमा॑नो॒ वि मृधो॑ नुदस्व ॥ (२)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे मन्यु! तुम अग्नि के समान प्रज्वलित होकर शत्रुओं को जलाओ. हे सहनशील एवं बुलाए गए मन्यु! संग्राम में हमारे सेनापति बनो. तुम युद्ध में शत्रुओं को मारकर उनका धन हमें दो तथा हमें शक्ति प्रदान करते हुए शत्रुओं को मारो. (२)
EN English Translation
Oh, my! You burn the enemies by igniting like agni. O tolerant and called manu! Be our general in combat. Kill the enemies in battle and give us their wealth and kill the enemies, giving us strength. (2)
सह॑स्व मन्यो अ॒भिमा॑तिम॒स्मे रु॒जन्मृ॒णन्प्र॑मृ॒णन्प्रेहि॒ शत्रू॑न् । उ॒ग्रं ते॒ पाजो॑ न॒न्वा रु॑रुध्रे व॒शी वशं॑ नयस एकज॒ त्वम् ॥ (३)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे मन्यु! हम पर आक्रमण करने वाले शत्रु को हराओ. तुम शत्रुओं को मारते हुए, विशेषरूप से उनकी हिंसा करते हुए एवं सदा के लिए समाप्त करते हुए उनके पास जाओ. तुम्हारा उग्र बल रोका नहीं जा सकता. तुम अकेले ही शत्रुओं को वश में कर लेते हो. (३)
EN English Translation
Oh, my! Defeat the enemy who attacked us. You go to them, killing your enemies, especially by committing violence against them and ending them forever. Your furious force cannot be stopped. You alone subdue the enemies. (3)
एको॑ बहू॒नाम॑सि मन्यवीळि॒तो विशं॑विशं यु॒धये॒ सं शि॑शाधि । अकृ॑त्तरु॒क्त्वया॑ यु॒जा व॒यं द्यु॒मन्तं॒ घोषं॑ विज॒याय॑ कृण्महे ॥ (४)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे प्रशंसित मन्यु! तुम अकेले ही बहुत से शत्रुओं को हरा सकते हो. तुम हमारे प्रत्येक व्यक्ति को युद्ध के लिए तीखा बनाओ. हे अच्छिन्न दीप्ति वाले मन्यु! तुमसे मिलकर हम विजय के लिए सिंह के समान शक्तिशाली गर्जन करते हैं. (४)
EN English Translation
O acclaimed manu! You alone can defeat a lot of enemies. You make each of our people strident for war. O manu with a good light! Meeting you we roar as powerful as a lion for victory. (4)
वि॒जे॒ष॒कृदिन्द्र॑ इवानवब्र॒वो॒३॒॑ऽस्माकं॑ मन्यो अधि॒पा भ॑वे॒ह । प्रि॒यं ते॒ नाम॑ सहुरे गृणीमसि वि॒द्मा तमुत्सं॒ यत॑ आब॒भूथ॑ ॥ (५)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे मन्यु! तुम इंद्र के समान विजय प्राप्त करने वाले एवं अनिंदित वचन हो. तुम इस यज्ञ में हमारे विशेष रक्षक बनो. हे शत्रुओं को सहन करने वाले मन्यु! हम तुम्हारी प्रिय स्तुति करते हैं. हम उस शक्ति के उदगमरूप स्तोत्र को जानते हैं जिससे तुम बढ़ते हो. (५)
EN English Translation
Oh, my! You are the conquering and blasphemous word like Indra. You be our special protector in this yajna. O the mans who bear the enemies! We praise your beloved. We know the originating hymn of the power by which you grow. (5)
आभू॑त्या सह॒जा व॑ज्र सायक॒ सहो॑ बिभर्ष्यभिभूत॒ उत्त॑रम् । क्रत्वा॑ नो मन्यो स॒ह मे॒द्ये॑धि महाध॒नस्य॑ पुरुहूत सं॒सृजि॑ ॥ (६)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे वञ्र के समान सारयुक्त एवं बाण के समान शत्रुनाशक एवं शत्रुपराभवकारी मन्यु! शत्रु को पराजित करना तुम्हारा स्वाभाविक गुण है तथा तुम उत्तम तेज धारण करते हो. तुम यज्ञकर्म के कारण युद्ध में हमारे प्रति स्नेहपूर्ण बनो. बहुत से लोग तुम्हें बुलाते हैं. (६)
EN English Translation
O ghostly and explosive like an arrow, o a substance like a forest and an enemy-destroying manu! Defeating the enemy is your natural quality and you possess the best speed. Be affectionate towards us in the war because of the yajnakarma. A lot of people call you. (6)
संसृ॑ष्टं॒ धन॑मु॒भयं॑ स॒माकृ॑तम॒स्मभ्यं॑ दत्तां॒ वरु॑णश्च म॒न्युः । भियं॒ दधा॑ना॒ हृद॑येषु॒ शत्र॑वः॒ परा॑जितासो॒ अप॒ नि ल॑यन्ताम् ॥ (७)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
वरुण और मन्यु दोनों ही हमें भली प्रकार लाया हुआ एवं विभक्त न होने वाला अन्न दें. हमारे शत्रु अपने मन में भयभीत एवं पराजित होकर भाग जावें. (७)
EN English Translation
Both Varuna and Manu give us well-brought and non-dividing food. May our enemies flee in fear and defeat in their minds. (7)
