Mandal 3 • Sukta 12
इन्द्रा॑ग्नी॒ आ ग॑तं सु॒तं गी॒र्भिर्नभो॒ वरे॑ण्यम् । अ॒स्य पा॑तं धि॒येषि॒ता ॥ (१)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे इंद्र एवं अग्नि! हमारी स्तुति द्वारा बुलाए जाने पर तुम शुद्ध किए हुए एवं उत्तम सोमरस को लक्ष्य करके स्वर्ग से यहां आओ एवं हमारे द्वारा किए जाते हुए यज्ञकर्म में इसे पिओ. (१)
EN English Translation
O Indra and Agni! When called by our praise, you should come here from heaven, aiming at the cleansed and perfect somras and drink it in the yajnakarma we perform. (1)
इन्द्रा॑ग्नी जरि॒तुः सचा॑ य॒ज्ञो जि॑गाति॒ चेत॑नः । अ॒या पा॑तमि॒मं सु॒तम् ॥ (२)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे इंद्र एवं अग्नि! स्तोता का सहायक, यज्ञ का साधन एवं इंद्रियों को आनंदित करने वाला सोमरस तुम्हारे समीप जाता है. इस निचोड़े हुए सोमरस को पिओ. (२)
EN English Translation
O Indra and Agni! The helper of the hymn, the instrument of yajna and the somras that make the senses rejoice goes to you. Drink this squeezed somras. (2)
इन्द्र॑म॒ग्निं क॑वि॒च्छदा॑ य॒ज्ञस्य॑ जू॒त्या वृ॑णे । ता सोम॑स्ये॒ह तृ॑म्पताम् ॥ (३)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
इस यज्ञ के साधनभूत सोमरस की प्रेरणा से मैं स्तोताओं के लिए सुखदाता इंद्र और अग्नि का वरण करता हूं. वे इस यज्ञ में सोम पीकर तृप्त हों. (३)
EN English Translation
With the inspiration of Someras, the instrument of this yajna, I choose Sukhdata Indra and Agni for the stotas. They should be satisfied by drinking som in this yajna. (3)
तो॒शा वृ॑त्र॒हणा॑ हुवे स॒जित्वा॒नाप॑राजिता । इ॒न्द्रा॒ग्नी वा॑ज॒सात॑मा ॥ (४)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
मैं शत्रुबाधक, वृत्रनाशक, विजयी, अपराजित एवं अधिक मात्रा में अन्न देने वाले इंद्र तथा अग्नि को बुलाता हूं. (४)
EN English Translation
I call indra and agni, the enemy-breaker, the conqueror, the victorious, the undefeated and the giver of large quantities of food. (4)
प्र वा॑मर्चन्त्यु॒क्थिनो॑ नीथा॒विदो॑ जरि॒तारः॑ । इन्द्रा॑ग्नी॒ इष॒ आ वृ॑णे ॥ (५)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे इंद्र एवं अग्नि! मंत्र जानने वाले होता आदि तथा स्तोत्रों के ज्ञाता स्तोता तुम्हारी अर्चना करते हैं. मैं भी अन्न प्राप्त करने के लिए सभी प्रकार से तुम्हारा वरण करता हूं. (५)
EN English Translation
O Indra and Agni! The mantra knower, etc., and the known stothas of the hymns worship you. I also choose you in all respects to get food. (5)
इन्द्रा॑ग्नी नव॒तिं पुरो॑ दा॒सप॑त्नीरधूनुतम् । सा॒कमेके॑न॒ कर्म॑णा ॥ (६)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे इंद्र और अग्नि! तुमने एक ही प्रयास में दासों के नब्बे नगरों को कंपित कर दिया था. (६)
EN English Translation
O Indra and Agni! You had made ninety cities of enemies tremble in a single attempt. (6)
इन्द्रा॑ग्नी॒ अप॑स॒स्पर्युप॒ प्र य॑न्ति धी॒तयः॑ । ऋ॒तस्य॑ प॒थ्या॒३॒॑ अनु॑ ॥ (७)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे इंद्र और अग्नि! सोमरस के पाने वाले होता आदि यज्ञ के मार्ग को देखकर हमारे इस कर्म के चारों ओर उपस्थित रहते हैं. (७)
EN English Translation
O Indra and Agni! The recipients of Somras are present around this karma of ours by looking at the path of Adi Yajna. (7)
इन्द्रा॑ग्नी तवि॒षाणि॑ वां स॒धस्था॑नि॒ प्रयां॑सि च । यु॒वोर॒प्तूर्यं॑ हि॒तम् ॥ (८)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे इंद्र और अग्नि! तुम दोनों के बल और अन्न एक-दूसरे से अभिन्न हैं. जल वर्षा की प्रेरणा का काम आप ही के बीच सीमित है. (८)
EN English Translation
O Indra and Agni! The force and grain of both of you are inseparable from each other. The motivation of water rain is limited among you. (8)
इन्द्रा॑ग्नी रोच॒ना दि॒वः परि॒ वाजे॑षु भूषथः । तद्वां॑ चेति॒ प्र वी॒र्य॑म् ॥ (९)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे स्वर्ग को प्रकाशित करने वाले इंद्र और अग्नि! तुम युद्धों में सर्वत्र विभूषित बनो. तुम दोनों की शक्ति युद्ध की विजय का ज्ञान कराती है. (९)
EN English Translation
O Indra and Agni who have illuminated heaven! Be you embodied everywhere in wars. The power of both of you gives you the knowledge of the victory of war. (9)
