अ॒ग्निमु॒षस॑म॒श्विना॑ दधि॒क्रां व्यु॑ष्टिषु हवते॒ वह्नि॑रु॒क्थैः । सु॒ज्योति॑षो नः शृण्वन्तु दे॒वाः स॒जोष॑सो अध्व॒रं वा॑वशा॒नाः ॥ (१)

हव्य वहन करने वाले अग्नि उषा को अधिकाररहित करते समय उषा, अश्विनीकुमार एवं दधिक्रा को सूक्तों के द्वारा बुलाते हैं. शोभन बुद्धि वाले एवं परस्पर संगत देवगण हमारे यज्ञ की कामना करते हुए उस आह्वान को सुनें. (१)
EN English Translation
While desecrating agni usha, the occupants call usha, ashwinikumar and dadhikra through suktas. Listen to that call while wishing for our yajna by the god with a strong intellect and mutually compatible. (1)
अग्ने॒ त्री ते॒ वाजि॑ना॒ त्री ष॒धस्था॑ ति॒स्रस्ते॑ जि॒ह्वा ऋ॑तजात पू॒र्वीः । ति॒स्र उ॑ ते त॒न्वो॑ दे॒ववा॑ता॒स्ताभि॑र्नः पाहि॒ गिरो॒ अप्र॑युच्छन् ॥ (२)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे यज्ञों में उत्पन्न अग्नि! तुम्हारे अन्नस्थान एवं देवों का उदर पूर्ण करने वाली जिह्वाएं तीन हैं. तुम सावधान होकर देवों द्वारा अभिलषित तीन शरीरों के द्वारा हमारे स्तोत्रों की रक्षा करो. (२)
EN English Translation
O agni created in the yajnas! There are three tongues that fill the stomach of your food place and gods. Be careful to protect our hymns through the three bodies anointed by the gods. (2)
अग्ने॒ भूरी॑णि॒ तव॑ जातवेदो॒ देव॑ स्वधावो॒ऽमृत॑स्य॒ नाम॑ । याश्च॑ मा॒या मा॒यिनां॑ विश्वमिन्व॒ त्वे पू॒र्वीः सं॑द॒धुः पृ॑ष्टबन्धो ॥ (३)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे द्योतमान, जातवेद, अन्न स्वामी एवं मरणरहित अग्नि! देवों ने तुम्हें बहुत से नाम दिए हैं. हे विश्वतृप्तिकारक एवं वांछित फल देने वाले अग्नि! देवों ने मायावियों की जो बहुत सी मायाएं तुम में धारण की थीं, वे तुममें हैं. (३)
EN English Translation
O Dyotman, Jataveda, Anna Swami and the agni without death! The gods have given you many names. O world-making and desired fruit-bearing agni! Many of the maya that the gods possessed in you of the Mayavians are in you. (3)
अ॒ग्निर्ने॒ता भग॑ इव क्षिती॒नां दैवी॑नां दे॒व ऋ॑तु॒पा ऋ॒तावा॑ । स वृ॑त्र॒हा स॒नयो॑ वि॒श्ववे॑दाः॒ पर्ष॒द्विश्वाति॑ दुरि॒ता गृ॒णन्त॑म् ॥ (४)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
ऋतुओं के पालक सूर्य के समान जो अग्नि मानवों और देवों के नियामक, सत्यकर्मा, वृत्रनाशक, सनातन, सर्वज्ञाता एवं तेजस्वी हैं, वे स्तुतिकर्ता के सारे पापों का अतिक्रमण करके पार लगावें. (४)
EN English Translation
Like the sun, the guardian of the seasons, the agni which is the regulator of human beings and gods, the satyakarma, the vrithrashakta, the eternal, the omniscient and the brightest, let them transcend all the sins of the praiseor. (4)
द॒धि॒क्राम॒ग्निमु॒षसं॑ च दे॒वीं बृह॒स्पतिं॑ सवि॒तारं॑ च दे॒वम् । अ॒श्विना॑ मि॒त्रावरु॑णा॒ भगं॑ च॒ वसू॑न्रु॒द्राँ आ॑दि॒त्याँ इ॒ह हु॑वे ॥ (५)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
मैं दधिक्रा, अग्नि, उषादेवी, बृहस्पति, सविता देव, अश्विनीकुमार, मित्र, वरुण, भग, वसुओं, रुद्रों एवं आदित्यों को इस यज्ञ में बुलाता हूं. (५)
EN English Translation
I invite Dadhikra, Agni, Ushadevi, Jupiter, Savita Dev, Ashwinikumar, Mitra, Varuna, Bhaga, Vasuon, Rudras and Adityas to this yagna. (5)
