यु॒ध्मस्य॑ ते वृष॒भस्य॑ स्व॒राज॑ उ॒ग्रस्य॒ यूनः॒ स्थवि॑रस्य॒ घृष्वेः॑ । अजू॑र्यतो व॒ज्रिणो॑ वी॒र्या॒३॒॑णीन्द्र॑ श्रु॒तस्य॑ मह॒तो म॒हानि॑ ॥ (१)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे युद्ध करने वाले, कामवर्षी, धनाधिपति, समर्थ, नित्य-तरुण, शत्रुपराभवकारी जरारहित, वज्रधारी, तीनों लोकों में प्रसिद्ध एवं महान् इंद्र! तुम्हारे वीरकर्म महान् हैं. (१)
EN English Translation
O one who fights, worksmanship, wealthy, samarth, nitya-tarun, enemy-beeperifiable jarahin, vajradhari, famous in all three worlds and great Indra! Your heroic deeds are great. (1)
म॒हाँ अ॑सि महिष॒ वृष्ण्ये॑भिर्धन॒स्पृदु॑ग्र॒ सह॑मानो अ॒न्यान् । एको॒ विश्व॑स्य॒ भुव॑नस्य॒ राजा॒ स यो॒धया॑ च क्ष॒यया॑ च॒ जना॑न् ॥ (२)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे पूज्य एवं उग्र इंद्र! तुम महान्, अपने धन को पार ले जाने वाले, शक्ति द्वारा शत्रुओं को हराने वाले एवं समस्त संसार के अकेले राजा हो. तुम शत्रुओं का नाश करो एवं अपने भक्तों को अपने स्थान पर दृढ़ करो. (२)
EN English Translation
O revered and furious Indra! You are the great one, the one who transcends your wealth, the one who defeats the enemies by power, and the only king of the whole world. You must destroy your enemies and strengthen your devotees in your place. (2)
प्र मात्रा॑भी रिरिचे॒ रोच॑मानः॒ प्र दे॒वेभि॑र्वि॒श्वतो॒ अप्र॑तीतः । प्र म॒ज्मना॑ दि॒व इन्द्रः॑ पृथि॒व्याः प्रोरोर्म॒हो अ॒न्तरि॑क्षादृजी॒षी ॥ (३)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
तेजस्वी, सभी के द्वारा अज्ञेय एवं सोम के स्वामी इंद्र पर्वतों से महान् बल में देवों से विशिष्ट, धरती, आकाश एवं विशाल अंतरिक्ष से भी विस्तृत हैं. (३)
EN English Translation
The bright, agnostic by all and the masters of Soma, indra, is distinguished from the gods in the great force from the mountains, also extended from the earth, sky and vast space. (3)
उ॒रुं ग॑भी॒रं ज॒नुषा॒भ्यु१॒॑ग्रं वि॒श्वव्य॑चसमव॒तं म॑ती॒नाम् । इन्द्रं॒ सोमा॑सः प्र॒दिवि॑ सु॒तासः॑ समु॒द्रं न स्र॒वत॒ आ वि॑शन्ति ॥ (४)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे महान्, गंभीर, स्वभाव से ही उग्र, सभी जगह व्याप्त व स्लुतिकर्तताओं के रक्षक इंद्र! एक दिन पहले निचोड़ा गया सोम तुम्हारे पास उसी प्रकार जाता है, जिस प्रकार सरिताएं सागर में समा जाती हैं. (४)
EN English Translation
O great, serious, fierce by nature, everywhere and the protector of the sultryness Indra! The som, squeezed a day before, goes to you in the same way that the saritas are absorbed in the ocean. (4)
यं सोम॑मिन्द्र पृथि॒वीद्यावा॒ गर्भं॒ न मा॒ता बि॑भृ॒तस्त्वा॒या । तं ते॑ हिन्वन्ति॒ तमु॑ ते मृजन्त्यध्व॒र्यवो॑ वृषभ॒ पात॒वा उ॑ ॥ (५)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे इंद्र! धरती और आकाश तुम्हारी कामना से गर्भ धारण करने वाली माता के समान सोम को धारण करते हैं. हे कामवर्षी इंद्र! अध्वर्युगण उसी सोम को तुम्हारे लिए प्रेषित करते हैं एवं तुम्हारे पीने के लिए उसे शुद्ध करते हैं. (५)
EN English Translation
O Indra! The earth and the sky hold the mon like the mother who conceives of your desire. O karyati Indra! The adhyavaryugans send the same mon to you and purify it for you to drink. (5)
