धन की स्वामिनी उषा कपड़े के समान फैले अंधकार को नष्ट करती हुई सूर्य की पत्नी बनकर चलती है. अपना तेज उत्पन्न करती हुई, शोभन-धन वाली एवं अग्निहोत्र आदि उत्तम कर्मो से युक्त उषा आकाश ओर धरती के अंत तक प्रकाशित होती है. (४)

Usha, the master of wealth, walks as the wife of the sun, destroying the darkness spread like a cloth. Usha, producing her own brightness, with good deeds like adornment and wealth and agnihotra, is illuminated to the end of the sky and the earth. (4)
