सोमः॑ पुना॒नो अ॑र्षति स॒हस्र॑धारो॒ अत्य॑विः । वा॒योरिन्द्र॑स्य निष्कृ॒तम् ॥ (१)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
पवित्र करने वाले एवं हजारों धारा वाले सोम मेष के बालों के बने दशापवित्र को पार करके वायु और इंद्र के पीने हेतु पात्र में जाते हैं. (१)
EN English Translation
The sanctifying and the thousands of streams cross the dasapavittra made of Aries' hair and goes to the vessel for air and indra's drinking. (1)
पव॑मानमवस्यवो॒ विप्र॑म॒भि प्र गा॑यत । सु॒ष्वा॒णं दे॒ववी॑तये ॥ (२)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे रक्षा चाहने वाले उद्गाताओ! शोधक देवों को प्रसन्न करने वाले एवं देवों के पीने के निमित्त निचुड़े हुए सोम को लक्ष्य करके गाओ. (२)
EN English Translation
O protector seekers! Sing by aiming at the som who pleases the seekers of the gods and is lying idle for the drinking of the gods. (2)
पव॑न्ते॒ वाज॑सातये॒ सोमाः॑ स॒हस्र॑पाजसः । गृ॒णा॒ना दे॒ववी॑तये ॥ (३)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
अत्यंत शक्तिदाता एवं स्तुति वाले सोम अन्नप्राप्ति एवं यज्ञपूर्ति के लिए टपकते हैं. (३)
EN English Translation
The most powerful and praising Mons drip for annaparna and yajnapurpurna. (3)
उ॒त नो॒ वाज॑सातये॒ पव॑स्व बृह॒तीरिषः॑ । द्यु॒मदि॑न्दो सु॒वीर्य॑म् ॥ (४)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे सोम! हमें अन्न देने के लिए दीप्तियुक्त एवं शक्ति वाली धाराएं गिराओ. (४)
EN English Translation
Hey Mon! Drop bright and powerful streams to give us food. (4)
ते नः॑ सह॒स्रिणं॑ र॒यिं पव॑न्ता॒मा सु॒वीर्य॑म् । सु॒वा॒ना दे॒वास॒ इन्द॑वः ॥ (५)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
निचुड़ते हुए सोमदेव! हमें हजारों धन एवं शोभन शक्ति दें. (५)
EN English Translation
The unsettling Somdev! Give us thousands of wealth and glory. (5)
अत्या॑ हिया॒ना न हे॒तृभि॒रसृ॑ग्रं॒ वाज॑सातये । वि वार॒मव्य॑मा॒शवः॑ ॥ (६)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
शीघ्रगामी सोम प्रेरकों द्वारा प्रेरित होकर इस प्रकार मेष के बालों के बने दशापवित्र को पार करते हैं, जिस प्रकार युद्ध के प्रति प्रेरित घोड़े दौड़ते हैं. (६)
EN English Translation
Inspired by the early Mon inductors, they thus cross the dasapavitra made of Aries' hair, just as war-driven horses run. (6)
वा॒श्रा अ॑र्ष॒न्तीन्द॑वो॒ऽभि व॒त्सं न धे॒नवः॑ । द॒ध॒न्वि॒रे गभ॑स्त्योः ॥ (७)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
जैसे रंभाती हुई गाएं बछड़ों की ओर जाती हैं, इसी प्रकार शब्द करते हुए सोम पात्र की ओर जाते हैं. ऋत्विज् हाथों में सोम को धारण करते हैं. (७)
EN English Translation
Just as rambling cows go towards calves, so does Som go towards the vessel. Ritvij holds soma in his hands. (7)
जुष्ट॒ इन्द्रा॑य मत्स॒रः पव॑मान॒ कनि॑क्रदत् । विश्वा॒ अप॒ द्विषो॑ जहि ॥ (८)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे इंद्र के लिए प्रिय एवं मद करने वाले सोम! तुम शब्द करते हुए हमारे सभी शत्रुओं को मारो. (८)
EN English Translation
O Som who is dear to Indra and the doer of things! Kill all our enemies while you word. (8)
अ॒प॒घ्नन्तो॒ अरा॑व्णः॒ पव॑मानाः स्व॒र्दृशः॑ । योना॑वृ॒तस्य॑ सीदत ॥ (९)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे अदाताओं को मारने वाले एवं सब स्थान से देखने वाले सोम! तुम यज्ञशाला में बैठो. (९)
EN English Translation
O Som, destroyer of the non-givers, sees from everywhere! You sit in the place for performing yajna. (9)
